Wow, your Berner is really active! Mine is almost a year old but he prefers to spend his days doing his impression of a bear skin rug. If someone comes to the door, then I go and alert him by waking him up. During playtime, I throw his toys and he watches while I end up being the one who retrieves them. He does like a good game of tug of war but his favorite way to play is laid out on his side.

@@kekecnakvadrat my boy will be November 1. He was born in Indiana and moved to Mississippi at 8weeks old. Now, he and I live on the Yucatan Peninsula. He's always been inside since he's my anaphylaxis alert service dog. I usually keep my AC between 65-70°F. When we got out during the day, it's for less than 10 minutes. Potty and back inside. When we come back to the US at Xmas, he is much more active!!! His personality always becomes more frisky when it cools off.
That pup would be so sick of me. I'd cuddle with him nonstop. My cocker spaniel actually hides from me🤣🤣😂😂😂

I’m getting my Berner boy in September! I lost my Aussie/Border/Heeler mix a few weeks ago, and the Bernese have the same playful, goofy, and lovable personality, without the strong herding instinct and prey drive. Thanks for the video!

I miss my two best friends in the whole world I got them from the SPCA my Bernice mountain dog was mix with a Newfoundlander she was 155 Pounda and 5 feet 9 inches tall standing on her back. My other dog was a solid 80 pounds of mix Labrador/ Pitbull they were my best friends in the whole world and. My lab/pit lived until he was 18years old. My bernices/newfoundlander until she was nearly 14 years old. They were and still are my best friends. I like to belive there is a special heavan for all

Wow, he's so handsome! He reminds me alot of my bearnese mountain dogs, they both used to act the way your dog acts 😂 The love for chewing on sticks, the head on the couch to get attention, the lying under the feet. I saw my dogs in yours. I miss them everyday.

Thank you!!! And typically any hard rubber ball. Usually things similar to the "kong" brand toughness but Clive is still a pup so maybe just some teething toys for now 😁

Koda is about 80lbs. The bigger dog in the video we found out is about 120 give or take 😁😅
Bernese are heavier than they look because of their large bones and feet. Same size as a lab but generally 30% heavier.
It's like having another person in your home and they will wrap around your heart like one too. They are an exceptional breed, do your research. Berner Garde is an excellent site for info.
Ours is so HOPPY. he jumps higher and repeatedly, more than you'd think a 115 lb dog could. Not on people though, which is nice

You have a beautiful family. Can I give you an advice pour his mealtime please ? Buy him an Elevated Dog Feeder. It’s really better for his neck, his back and his stomach. Just comfort matter and digestion helper. (My bernese had some issues and it’s really help) Good luck with your channel. 😉
I disagree. I am for raised dish feeding. Bloat is most commonly caused by eating too much food too fast and/or exercising right before or after eating. It builds up gasses in stomach, they lay then torsion can occur. I am for raised dishes for the big guys and gals. Have always fed that way with my Bernese and despite the mixed opinions, I do believe it is better for them. Not too high, but for an adult Bernese, about 10" off the floor.

I really want a berner and hopefully getting one in the next few months. Still trying to convince my wife. She loves dogs but thinks he might be too big. I said he's the best type of big though. Doesn't need huge amount of exercise. Cuddly, not aggressive, great with kids and other dogs, not crazy Barker's. Anything else you can add to make her want one as much as me?? Also, what age is your dog? He doesn't seems as big as some I've seen .
Mine is 7, our son got dressed for Halloween one year as a ninja, in his room. Came out with a fake knife. Sasha saw intruder, was going for him, all I could do was say take of the mask. When she got to him she recognized his scent as her pack. Stopped immediately and was very confused. I knew then she would die for us. She loves the whole family. And is amazing. When we had our son she would not even enter the living room when he was on the floor. She came close to our son at 3 months licked his head and watched him like he was hers. This child grabbed ears pulled himself up on her everything as you can imagine. If he became to much for her,she would come to me and give a stressed bark as to say take this kid he is driving me crazy. Would never have any other dog ever. My husband worked away ,and I always felt safe with her with us. Only down side is the hair. Make sure you brush her really well is spring and fall. We drop her of at petsmart for full treatment. Otherwise your wife may not like hair in the butter. Hope this helps, God bless you and your family. P.s. my husband waited 15 years for her and I never regretted getting her. He was right. What is it like to have the dog in a home without a yard? Does he bark a lot? Or is he satisfied with walks and going to the park? I want to get one but my yard is only big enough for the doggie to go to the bathroom.
No he doesn't bark a lot. He usually only barks SOMETIMES if someone comes to our door late at night. He is definitelysatisfied with his walks and going to the park 😊 you don't need a yard as long as you know you will have time to care for them and walk them as frequentlyas needed

Why would you take your dog to the rooftop doggie park to poop when you were going out for a walk? He could poop on fresh grass vs. artificial. I feel like there is a difference for dogs.
Lol well maybe it was shot in different days. Maybe cause dog park is far and is only concrete between apt. And park(perks of living in NY) 🙃? Maybe we take the stairs to the roof so we both get excercise even if it's only 8 flights... MAYBE I just wanted to take him to roof... who knows 🙃🙃🙃 but pretty sure he knows the difference 😃
