Let me take you along to stunning Fuerteventura (GCFV), a sandy/volcano Spanish island, part of the Canary Islands (Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, La Palma etc.), located in the Atlantic Ocean. Fuerteventura has golden sands stretching along its coastline, framed by turquoise waters and captivating volcanic landscapes. The island is a haven for water sports enthusiasts, offering ideal conditions for windsurfing, kitesurfing, and surfing. A cockpit view approach and landing in a Boeing 737-800 at Fuerteventura airport runway 01 in the Canary Islands, Spain. The video shows what it's like to fly a Standard Terminal Arrival Route/Standard Arrival Route (STAR) in a Boeing 737-800. Interesting facts, approach landing charts and actual call-outs and Boeing procedures were added to provide a sense of everything that is going on inside the cockpit during approach, landing and taxi.   • I am always amazed by the transition from a low altitude flying aircraft to a multi thousands pound 160 mph tricycle. I crashed too many tricycles when I was a kid to ever be secure on one. Great flying BYW.

  • Hi Michelle. Another fabulous video we went to Fuerteventura very many years ago when they had just extended the runway and airport buildings, think it very early 2000's. The flight was unforgettable as a child behind us screamed very loudly from LGT to FUE for 3 plus hours. Upon arrival at FUE a part of the roof of the aircraft fell down just as we about to stand up! Apart from that, the best part of the winter holiday was the full day trip around the island given by a fellow Scot from Edinburgh, it was excellent. Kind Regards Crawford

  • I was working at Fokker Airkraft. I did planning for F70 and F100 I enjoy your landings every time. Because, I have made a flight in the flight simmulator of the F100. Lift off was perfect, but my landing was rerrible. "Nose up! Nose up! Yeh, to late hahaha. Thank you for your amazing vidieo's

  • I am very impressed not only of your videos but more in your professional attitude as a commercial airline pilot. It must be stressful at times, though you make it look like a breeze. Awesome that I found your video here on KZhead and I have subscribed as soon as the first video was over. Great landing by the way very smooth. I have only learned to fly on a flight simulator, though I have been in many type aircraft, I'm fascinated mostly on helicopters. I have put many hours in the air on helicopters from previous work as a wildland fire fighter and extensive work in the oil and gas sector as a land surveyor. I certainly missed a opportunity to actually become a pilot myself and would have been a dream job, flying fixed wing small aircraft, floatplane as well as helicopter. All the cost would have been covered as the owner of the business that offered the opportunity, is certified to teach and had alot of hours in fixed wing and probably many more in helicopter. I did get a chance to take the controls once while sitting in the front of a Bell 205 helicopter and had control just briefly. That was a cool experience. But I leave it up to the professionals. I can take off land and know the majority of procedures on the simulator and that's pretty cool for me. Anyways glad I found your channel and subscribed. Safe flying and happy safe landings always.

  • On May 28, 1996 AK Airlines made "aviation technology history" landing using GPS. For the longest time it was the only airport in the world with GPS technology. Watching you going through the clouds reminded me the day GPS was installed
