  • I struggle to sense the speed these guys race, except for this run. The only way I could genuinely tell the difference in speed on this run was the way that the air horns sounded when Amaury went past. I've never experienced audio like that on a final bike run. The sound is unreal just hearing all of that whiz past you and keeping your focus. Some of those lines weren't even lines! Madness, big up

  • I got into watching this sport when Aaron Gwin was bursting on the scene and at his peak in the early years...I never thought I'd see anyone as quick as him. This run however, is so much faster than anything I've seen before. Just shows the advancement in technology and sebsequently in riding skills

    • He's probably done the track before, and might have done it so much that he has the whole thing memorized. It's not that long a track, and from his name he probably lives in France, and thus can get to it for practice without vast trouble. Which isn't say that it didn't take considerable skill and courage.

    • the world cup level instructor i had one year told me that you don't process it. You keep your chin up and use the bottom of your vision, which is reactionary. processing takes to long. you memorize the course then react almost automatically
