POV | Amaury Pierron's Flat Out Run in Fort William

2022 ж. 21 Мам.
640 213 Рет қаралды

It was another peerless Amaury Pierron performance in the men's race as the Frenchman took his third consecutive win on the Fort William track following his victories in 2018 and 2019 in Scotland. Pierron again showed his knack of being a race-day-player with a pin-point accurate run that saw him make a mockery of deteriorating course conditions for the last ten riders down the hill. He finished just +0.469s ahead of his Commencal team-mate Thibaut Dapréla, who had started outside of the top 10, and had been sitting pretty in the hotseat for some time.

    • especially on fort william. I've ridden it and it's one of those tracks that isn't difficult to ride normally BUT,, at this level is INSANELY difficult to ride.

    • I went for a ride in the local woods right before this event in similarly sloppy conditions and the roots/rocks are so slippery and unforgiving if you put your wheel wrong. I’m only doing half the speed these riders are doing too. Amaury’s run looked scary fast even with the GoPro effect.

    • I rode this in the summer of 2022 and it took me 6 minutes to get to the road gap... literally twice the pace. Until I rode this track I was like "huh wow, that's fast!" But now it's absolutely insane to me the way these guys carry such speed over such terrain. This pov doesn't do justice how chunky this track really is. Insane
