It’s going to kill the sequoia!
These SUVs are going to be sold in North America and Asia and not Europe including the UK
😢@@lewisculverwellvlogs9789defender too strong/popular in UK , The very capable new Toyota land box wouldn't tempt many UK buyers.
If that's in Canadian dollars then i am buying but knowing life it will be 90k here
@@lewisculverwellvlogs9789 they are going to be sold in germany right? why else should the put a 4 cylinder into that thing
Great review. Watched a lot of reviews on the GX and Land Cruiser and you are the only one that does adequate job showing rear cargo area with seats down. Thanks. I wish Toyota would design a completely flat floor when the seats are down.
Thank you for your comment. I agree. I wish there was a flat floor when the seats are folded flat. I was disappointed I couldn’t open the hatch (the vehicle battery was disconnected for the auto show) so I’m glad I could get a good view from the inside!
Huge issue for me too. The Honda Passport and Mazda CX 70 take the lead here
Agree, flat floor would allow camping/sleeping in the car rather than on the roof with a roof tent.
@@isoplayers Yes, that's what I'm thinking.
@@MotorCityMaggie nice
I like the 2400w electrical outlet. I also like that there is not a 3rd seat. The air vents in the rear areas is good. It's too bad the cargo area is not flat when the rear seats are folded down. But, if the rear seats can be folded up and locked against the back of the front seats that might be a good configuration for more convenient cargo hauling. I'm looking forward to laying eyes on the Land Cruiser.
I have a hybrid SUV. Best purchase I’ve ever made. I can go almost 2 and half weeks before I need gas. I wfh now and have been riding on the same tank of gas since the beginning of March. I still have 3/4 tank of gas. Hybrids are where it’s at.
Do not forget to save $4,000+ to replace the battery dude.....at about 150,000 they go.
@@stuartkidney3257 Too bad we can't get it as a non-hybrid like in the other markets. I'd rather have the extra space from not having the battery in the back, and the option to have a 3rd row -- without needing to jump up into the Lexus GX550 for those things.
11:10 this is good for dogs, no third row sometimes means dogs don’t get air con which is rough in the summer.
No third row but air con vents are still there.
Thanks for the informative review. Taking the time to explain everything is much appreciated.
Thank you so much for watching and commenting 🫶🏼😊
This is the first review I've seen by Maggie. She did a really good job
Thank you so much 😊
Very cool review. I feel it puts the upcoming 4Runner in a weird spot, as it’ll need something different or special such as a removable roof, front locker, and hopefully a power sliding rear window.
Great review, you always amaze me by all the detail and specs you give.
Thank you so much!! 😊
Thank you for the great introduction, excelent thing is that you let us have a complete view of the interior. Where is the spair tire?
Thankyou Maggie for the informative Video 2 questions 1. Are the turn indicators/blinkers amber or red? 2. Does the rear wheels have solid axle?
Looks like a great SUV. Excited for its arrival. So many reviewers do not mention ground clearance. I'm so glad you did- thank you!
8.7 she mentioned
Hi Maggie- Thank you for sharing this all-new land cruiser.
Thank you for watching and commenting, Michael!
@@MotorCityMaggie of course 😃
Informative, thanks for the video.
Thank you for watching and commenting 😊
Good job ,Maggie!Keep up the good work!
Thank you!!! 😊
Thank you for your amazing work! Please keep up the top notch quality of your reviews!
Thank you so much!!!
you can't touch this car for mid 50's once they arrive in dealer showrooms. It will be well north of $60K for the base trim and mid $70K for fully loaded one. Dealerships will mark them up sky high. Supply and Demand.
A new 200 series in 2021 was about $81,000. So tell me what is the problem with the pricing of the new ones.
Great review, very professional and punchy ❤❤❤
look very nice i will get one this spring.
Hi Maggie 🖐️ Thanks for sharing 💕 and I have question It this car is a new Land cruiser Prado? 🤔
Stop comparing this to the 200 series because this isn't its successor. The successor to the 200 series is the 300 series. This one's previous model is the 150 series
Other than the motor and gearbox, I wonder how different the other components are to the 300 series.
Thank you. Someone that knows their Land Cruisers. This is the successor to the Prado.
@@adamhatton7579don't know much about the 300 series but the 200 series had hydraulic suspension instead of air suspension found in the 150 series. Inside you had heated seats in the rear but all of that eventually found itself later on in the 150 before it was discontinued.
@@adamhatton7579
Don’t you mean the 120 series?
Good job Maggie. Thank you!
You are so welcome! 🤗
Great review video and I like the power train, plenty of torque for me. Look forward to driving one.
Love that truck! Counting the days when it comes out. My only thought is that it’s going to be very hard to get and probably highly marked up. Great review!
Thank you 😊
I am hoping given the state of car sales overall coupled with not great interest rates, sales/demand won’t be too bad. I know it’s wishful thinking but 🤞🏻
I know it's not what you meant, but it sounded like you were saying the iForce Max 4-cylinder is in the tundra. Futuristic looking SUV and a Great review 👍
I'll be waiting for mine....it'll be my way to travel the USA. Nice Report....!
Love this color!! I really hope that you can get this color with the light grey roof!! But i believe it is only available with the light blue or trail dust
Hi Maggie, love your video. Great job.
Thank you, Bobby! Nice to hear from you! 😊
I own a 21 Land Cruiser bought new and i feel bad for you people buying this 4 banger.
The First Edition with headlamps from the Land Cruiser Edition would be awesome
Seems like where they put the 4 wheel drive selector switch and the locker buttons is in a poorly chosen location. It’s seems like it will be to easy to constantly accidentally make contact with the buttons. They should have put that in the overhead area like in the 4Runner.
That was a great review !!
Maggiei s review was thereally enjoyable not rushed or stripped down. But provided all the detailsw and had the imagination stimulated. I love the vehicle. I hope I can convince myself that I am crazy if I don't try to find one relatively soon.certain western adventure I've been waiting to resume.definitely knows how to
Thank you! 😊
Great job on the review and walkabout, but I have to chime in on the comment about the previous Landcruiser being 80k, vs this one starting at 50k or so. Reason for this is that this is a Landcruiser Prado which is a massive step down from a true Toyota Landcruiser. Still a great looking vehicle, but let's call it what it is. Keep up the great work and thank you again for the awesome a Walkabout.
Not to mention the first edition is listed for $76k!!! Barely a price decrease for a SUBSTANTIAL step down in size, safety, features and build integrity. What a joke. Marketing crew all getting raises.
... Is that colour underground the same as Lexus incognito Grey (or possibly Toyota cement grey)?.
Great, thorough review
There’s a button at the cargo area, when you press it the 3rd row seats will pop up that’s why you see airvents and USB ports at the back. I have seen it in other videos
It’s only a 5 passenger vehicle in the USA. No 3rd row at this time. Hopefully they will add it in the future as an option.
very nice presentation..you should review different product for salary..thanks again for taking the time
Thank you 😊
Wowww my Dream Power SUV New Toyota land cruiser for my Family thanks Maggie for your Wonderful Walk around tour review video Godbless from the Philippines 🇵🇭😊😍🙏👏
I was hoping Toyota would show the Land Cruiser at the LA Auto Show last November, but glad to finally see a review of it. I'm curious to know where it fits in the Toyota SUV lineup. It looks comparable to the 4Runner but not too sure how it compares.
😁👋
Especially when the starting price is similar.
I was also disappointed the Land Cruiser was not at the LA auto show! I am now here at the Chicago auto show and it is displayed in the 1958 model. Hopefully I will be able to make a video with it. It will be especially interesting to compare the 4runner and the land cruiser once the 4runner is remodeled.
Good luck getting one. I called my local dealer and they said that there is no news on allocations. Any they get they will be selling above MSRP! Get in line boys and bend over!
Several dealers in my area are getting the first edition which are absolutely ridiculously priced so I'm waiting for the Land Cruiser Edition
@@rjejames28 Any idea when those will ship? The LC edition is the one I want.
@stanleyblazeraznik6047 not sure I've read it's after the 5000 FE ones so summertime probably
I have a 2002 4 runner!! I love her!!! She’s so reliable!! 375,000 miles!! I’ll keep her! But this is just gorgeous! Great review!!!😎🤙
great preview it looks great! Love the iForceMax engine on my 2023 Tundra mpg is so much better
debating between 2024 land cruiser or 2024 lexus gx 550. Hoping to have lifted and thick tires like on my Toyota T-Force
Nice job Maggie ❤
Once again Maggie you have me ready to get another car. Lol still love my RAV 4 but I’m probably going to get this too.
Looking forward to upgrading from a 2018 4Runner to one of these!
We've already got the V6 diesel 300 series with the down Under in NZ & Aus. The 300 is bigger than the previous 200 series. This looks like Prado LandCruiser which is a slightly smaller vehicle
Does it have power folding mirrors?
Love this Land Cruiser. Thanks for your presentation.
Thank you for watching! 😊
This review is amazing … can you also do one for a 2024 Toyota fortuner (the new shape)
Nice review. I just did a build online for the Land Cruiser addition with things most would want, higher than I was hoping at 71k + ! About 10k more than I was expecting.
does that have the 2 cylinder super duper charger quad turbo thingy??
I love the red wheels on the Grand Highlander in the background. I' like them even more on the L.C.
I like the color but i will go with black 😉 I can wait for a drive! Good video !
In Australia we get the 300 series genuine Landcruiser and this one is called a Prado “Baby Cruiser”.
Looks amazing!
Watching this made it clear to me that I just need to buy an older used model.
The older used model will cost *more* and gets 12 MPG. My advice is to give this one a couple of years for them to work out all the teething issues. Then you'll have a modern LC that's more fun than the 200 series and gets decent fuel economy.
Great video! Any idea when the cars will be available?
Great job Maggie👍❤....the 2024 LC looks the business 🎉
Thank you so much 😊
Where does the battery go? I think they raised the lift over height of the trunk by about 4". Not good. Love it except for that.
I like it but the ground clearance is only 8.7” ? My Subaru Forester has the same ground clearance.
Australia is getting the 7 seater models which will be known as the Prado 250.
Thanks for the look I am a new subscriber.
Absolutely gorgeous!! ...and the Land Cruiser looks good too. Just can't get over the turbos. I'm going for the 4 runner instead.
4 runner will have same engine
Wow, the design is going back to the 1997 Land Cruiser and LR Discovery roots from the rugged past with modern designs.
The pricing seems in line with the type of vehicle it is. If i'm not mistaken, this new Land Cruiser is built on the same platform as the Lexus GX. Which would mean it's a Land Cruiser Prado. The previous LC300 had the same platform as the Lexus LX. So is it really a price reduction from toyota? Previous Land Cruiser was also a much larger vehicle. Still love it though! As a Canadian, I'm excited for this. We haven't had a Land Cruiser here since 1996.
Turbo hybrid 4 cyl. Could they make the drivetrain more complicated?
is Stickshift available??
Whats the MPG on the Hybrid?
As soon as you guys work out the 1st run issues and update that chicken wire grill, I'll probably get one.
Toyota might consider expanding the Land Cruiser lineup both in America and worldwide with the following: * Land Cruiser 250XL/Lexus GX L - Chevy Suburban-like LWB versions of the Toyota Land Cruiser 250 and Lexus GX Mk3 with a standard third row (250-Series has 7 to 8 seats while GX gets 6 to 7 like the Premium and Luxury trims of the SWB GX) which could target the Land Rover Defender 130. * Land Cruiser Sport - Singular replacement for both the Tacoma-based 4Runner in America and the Hilux-based Fortuner elsewhere. Sits below the 250-Series/GX Mk3. Not sure what Lexus' sub-GX equivalent will be called as of yet. Could be called the Land Cruiser SW4 in certain markets. * Land Cruiser 400 - Replacement for both the Sequoia in America and the Land Cruiser 300 overseas (its Lexus counterpart a.k.a. the LX Mk4 on the other hand will continue for a couple more years). Like the Sequoia but unlike the 300-Series, the 400-Series will be built with America predominantly in mind (based on the Tundra pickup in terms of weight, strength, and capability but inspired heavily by Land Cruisers 50 and 60 in terms of style, proportions, and design) and would take on the Chevy Tahoe/Suburban, GMC Yukon, Jeep Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer, Ford Expedition, Cadillac Escalade, and Lincoln Navigator. However, unlike the Sequoia, 400-Series will get a LWB variant to fight the Chevy Suburban, GMC Yukon XL, and others. Its Lexus equivalent will NOT be the LX Mk5 at all. That will be a completely separate Japan-built model. Call it the first big-ass Land Cruiser in America since the outgoing Land Cruiser 200 ceased production in 2021. * Land Cruiser FJ - Radical off-roader inspired heavily by the Jeep-like Land Cruiser 40 directly succeeding the FJ Cruiser and a proper rival to the Ford Bronco, Land Rover Defenders 90 and 110, and Jeep Wrangler.
Wow.. that color is real nice.
Great detailed review
Thank you so much 😊
I’ve had my eye on this since they announced it….2 more years my 2021 4Runner is paid off. I’m buying one of these !
Thank you Maggie for such a detailed review.
You are so welcome!
Agree with you on the volume control knob, especially when we’ve got volume control button on the steering well. I’ve got to believe that it can’t be the final location… right?
I’ve seen some older international videos with the volume knob underneath the HVAC controls by the “birds-eye view” camera button. But kudos to you calling it out, especially when no one else has!
Thank you! Yes, the placement is off to me. The 1958 model has a lower location for the volume knob. I hopefully will make a video with that model next!
@@MotorCityMaggie lower by the “birds-eye” camera button/USB-C port??? I’ve seen that the smaller screen has it in the lower left of the screen
Here’s a video of the volume knob in a different location kzhead.infopiqR_e6xJS8?si=IShvGE4OyXtn6JC5
Is there going to be a 3rd row seat for this new Model?
Not much ground clearance actually. Unless you already mentioned it, it would be better to have air suspension to raise it up. My Jeep Grand Cherokee can raise to 10.6 inches of clearance stock. I added bigger tires so I should have about 11.6 inches of clearance. On the highway you can lower it to handle better and supposedly get better fuel mileage.
but its a jeep.................. 4 out of 10 most unreliable ..........JEEPS
Air suspension is expensive to fix, just isn’t good to have long term
Great job Maggie)))
Wow! Thank you so much!! 😊
How many gallons is the fuel tank capacity?
This looks like a grownup 4Runner so I love it
Maggie awesome review as always! Starting at $50k with no hood struts, come on Toyota. That looks like my only criticism. Nice vehicle
Thank you for watching and commenting!
That lethargic 4 cylinder is a deal breaker for me
More torque than the 200 and lighter. Have you driven one of the modern iforce max? Nothing lethargic about it. Senile old head
Great review. Awesome new design. 👍
Thank you 😊
I would like to see it with a 2.5” lift and 35” BFG KM3s on 17” bead lock rims.
I do not understand why there is no option for the 3rd seat. I understand that some people do not want it but for those that do, there should have been an optional.
Very nice review 👍
Thank you 😊
So the LC got the Tundra engine before the GX?
Tacoma engine.
Excellent review ….👍
Glad you liked it!
What is the gas milage?
Where can I get one? It does everything my 80s cruiser does that's necessary.
Very detailed video
Glad you liked it!
Excellent review! Any idea when this is going to be available in the US?
This is not a review but a look on the car. Same thing was made by many 5 months ago
NEW LANDCRUISER 250 😍👍 The new LANDCRUISER 250 uses the platform from the LANDCRUISER 300 model and is therefore even bigger than the old LANDCRUISER 150 (PRADO)!
Wonder is it much bigger than Prado it looks smaller
The TNGA is adjustable. It can underpin the smaller Tacoma and the huge Tundra. It underpins this Land Cruiser, the GX, the LX, and certainly the upcoming 4Runner.
How does it drive on the road and off-road ?
Great job.
I love this but I need a third row!
Third rows in North America are mainly for bragging rights. Few people actually use them. In Central America though, it’s another story.
I’ve being a Land Crusier fan since I was 18 (I’m 56 now), have had many LC through my life, I just got my new LC300 and was planning to buy the new LC Prado (yes, that’s the name of the LC that is shown in this video in Latin America). Having said all that, I think my LC300 it’s gonna be my last LC, there is no way I’m going to buy any hybrid on any Off Road Vehicle. I’ll have to change my beloved Toyota vehicles 🥲🥲🥲🥲
AWESOME REVIEW OF THE 2024 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER, LOVE IT LOVE IT- TILL I REALIZE IT'S ONLY A FIVE PASSENGER.Still, what a magnificent gorgeous vehicle, Impressive in every way all the same. I love 7-paassengers. i love your wonderful review & I will still buy , while only a 5 passenger.
I'm getting one can't wait until it comes out, or if it comes a little later just gives me more time to save money
