  • My Father was in the publishing business, he taught me something that 12 years in school didn’t. He said that when you write, the reader should hear your voice. Punctuation is very important when writing, I strongly disagree with what has been said here about it.

    • I think it depends; it depends on whom and whym😉 one's writing, I feel. Perhaps the younger generations aren't exposed to spelling and punctuation as much as older generations, so aren't as fluent in punc'ting (like what we are). It shows we've stopped to think about the structure more than content, perhaps annoyingly for less literate 'picture communication' types. Personally, I'd rather see a comma so I know where to breath

  • I am an English trainer, mental health professional and editor. I subconciously use the correct punctuation while texting. I asked my students if my messages seemed insincere to them as I read this fact for the first time here. The response was an unanimous 'far from it'. You see the brain is unique. Set laws don't work always, sometimes never.

    • this may or may not be what you meant by your comment but you reminded me of something related. My then-fiance and I went through pre-marital counseling with our pastor. One thing he told us before getting married was to get the D word (divorce) out of our vocabulary. Meaning, don't threaten it or even joke about it. The point is, he did not want it to be a plan B or even a thought in our minds as an option. That way, we are far more likely to work out our problems when we go through tough times. That was 13 years ago and we have held true to his advice. It genuinely isn't a smidgeon of a thought even during our worst fights.

  • "Those who heard about the little girl donated double what the statistic group did. Psychologists attribute this to the fact that if a problem feels too big we feel helpless and insignificant." I would attribute it to the fact that humans more easily and more naturally feel an emotional and empathetic connection to a single person we actually see and learn about personally than to an entire statistical set of people who are otherwise anonymous and nondescript.

When you are cooking you are exposed to the smells of the dish for a prolonged time causing a slight noes blindness. • This is pretty standard knowledge to most psychology students. However number one is inaccurate, or perhaps it’s more accurate to say it’s only based on the uneducated social media crowd. Most employers or higher educated social media outlets and so forth prefer to see that you are able to put commas, capitals, and periods to ensure your message is received accurately and to show respect to the person you’re speaking to you. Psychologically they may want to call petting cute things some sort of aggression response; however the real reason that we want to touch and pet cute things is because our soul innately is drawn to innocence and wants to connect with it. As far as confirmational bias, that’s been around for a long time and used to be considered quite an unbalanced mental bias; however nowadays we see it rampantly on social media and it is something expected from the crowd of uneducated typical social media personalities. We see it in media constantly now where opinion is put out as fact, where opinion shaming comes into play quite violently against anyone who disagrees with that narrative. Old school psychologists called this the pendulum swinging far into the darkness, where we then will swing far into the light or positive social behavior from that point. So, there’s the good news.

  • As a psychology major, I can state without doubt that psychology is a “science” of consensus. Which means it’s not actually science at all. We were even taught that psychology is and is not a science at the same time, depending on which professor you were listening to. That created a sense of dialetheism in my mind that took me awhile to sort out, and in the end I chose logic over consensus. Because at the end of the day, something cannot be something it is and something it is not at the same time, no matter how hard you believe it to be both.

People will self sabotage themselves to defend what they believe in 3. 99% of people are easily manipulated when showed backing of any social proof 4. Most people prefer the illusion of safety rather than the reality of freedom 5. People will start to believe the lies told, if you repeat them often times with confidence 6. People to advertise their virtues are the least virtuous 7. The bigger the group- the more stupid they act 8. People & nations who struggle the most tend to be more religious 9. Injustices are psychologically negative, no matter the status 10. People can be born and living in a certain country and yet psychologically belong to another 11. People become angry and bitter because they’re psychologically programmed that that’s how pain becomes easier to tolerate 12. People love the idea of love, rather than love itself.

  • Thank you for giving statistics in this video. My vision at 6 months old was a -22L &-16R both of my parents had RP and somehow my mom had me in Gas Perm contact lenses at the age of 2 to slow down the disease. I have no memory of this but I’m sure it was traumatic as a toddler lol! I was 23 and had cataract surgery (I did not have cataracts) the implants were amazing and I could see perfect. However after a couple years I needed reading glasses and my eyes feel like the retina is pulling the implanted lens back to my natural Rx. I don’t k is if that is even possible as I am no doctor but just curious ? I have had a torn retina, no reason for it except that they are just so thin maybe. 18 months later I had my first detachment and all along the course of two years I had SO many procedures done. My Amazing and wonderful Ophthalmologist, Dr Jackson , may he rest in peace , he saved me from complete blindness more than twice! One of the worst procedures I had done I had to be alert for it and even though I was suppose to be in a “twilight” haze I saw that needle coming for my eye and …. Well that was the worst day! Lol! I now have a sclera buckle on my left eye, it’s been over 10 years . Along with the RP, I’ve developed Glaucoma, and just can’t see well anymore. I’m so thankful for all of the modern treatments that are available and and glad to have found this KZhead channel. I’m 43 now and just today My new optometrist had to tell me that its time to give up my drivers license. I live in a very rural part of Southern Illinois and this is devastating news. I try to take life as it comes and make it fun and positive, however I don’t think I realized all of the seriousness and sever issues that come along with Myopia. I had no idea I had poor peripheral either. My new eye Dr was a little shocked and I’m probably the most extreme patient she is taking on. My glasses were on a manikin for 20 years. Unfortunately Dr Jackson passed about 5 years ago and I lost it. I saw him every three months for half my life. I really have not taken the best care of my eyes since he passed. I’ve noticed that my Rx has changed drastically over these five years and although I would get a basic check up every year it was just a generic one. I’ve recently found a Dr whom I feel comfortable with and that she is a quality Dr and person. Thank God!!! If she didn’t have to tell me that driving is to be no more I would like her better…. jk. She’s great, but my point is that it IS so very important to have a good optometrist that one is comfortable with and to get a yearly eye exam. We never know when a baseball will hit ya in the eye, the statistics are real! I would like to know what they are for someone who’s natural vision is as low as mine. Just for curiosity’s-sake. If that’s possible! I have been told by eye doctors in the past that my eyes resemble a war zone, and that they’re as thin as granny’s old pantyhose! Lol that ine was my favorite! Thanks for the video and for reading this. It’s a bit lengthy I know. Apologies. Thanks though! Glad to be a subscriber. 👍🏻

    • Here's something they don't know - We are not guaranteed another day on this Earth. There is life after death and the most important decision you will ever make is where you will spend eternity, but there are only 2 places you can spend eternity, heaven or hell. The Bible says that you can know that you have eternal life in heaven, but If you are putting your trust in anything other than the finished work of Jesus on the cross to get you to heaven, you do not understand God's way. Please let me share with you how you can be 100% sure you are heading in the right direction. The Bible says that we are all sinners. When God created Adam and Eve, He made them perfect without sin, but they chose to disobey God and became sinful in nature. This sin nature was passed down to all humanity. Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Your sin separates you from God. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God; A holy, righteous God cannot allow sin into heaven. Sin must be paid for and God's price for sin is death, but not just a physical death, but a spiritual death which means separation from God forever in a lake of fire in hell. Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. In the Old Testament when man sinned, God required the sacrifice of a perfectly spotless lamb as a substitute to pay for the sins of each person. The blood of that lamb was only a temporary payment for their sin and so this had to be done often. Jesus Christ, God's Son took on flesh, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life and offered Himself as that perfect, spotless Lamb and shed His blood as payment for the sins of the whole world. John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. Jesus loved you so much He WILLINGLY came and allowed wicked men to spit on Him, mock Him and scourge Him until He was unrecognizable as a man. They stripped him naked, thrust a crown of thorns on His head and nailed His hands and feet to a cross. He hung in agony for hours bleeding, thirsting, struggling for every breath. He died innocently in your place so that you could be saved from going to hell. It was His blood that satisfied the just demands of a holy God. God will not accept anything else. There is no greater love than that! John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The good news is that Jesus didn't stay dead in the grave. He came back to life 3 days later just like He promised and He still lives today! Matthew 28:5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 6. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. Friend, Jesus did all this because He wants to give you the FREE gift of eternal life in heaven with Him! You cannot do anything to earn your own way into heaven. You can't work for it, be baptized for it, go to church for it or try to be good enough for it. You must stop believing that you can get there on your own merit. It is a FREE gift that God is offering to you if you will simply receive it by faith. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9. Not of works, lest any man should boast. God said there is only one way to get to heaven, but it is not hard. You must admit you are a sinner headed for hell and you can't save yourself. You must believe that Jesus died and paid for your sin with His own blood on the cross, then He was buried and 3 days later rose from the dead. Then you must repent and turn to God and call on Him for mercy to save you from hell and give you eternal life in heaven with Him. Romans 10:9 that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 13. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. None of us deserve God's mercy and grace, but let me warn you friend, don't be deceived because if you reject His FREE gift, you are already condemned and when you die, you will suffer the torment of burning in hell for eternity in a lake of fire where you will be forever separated from God and all that is loving and good. John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Please don't wait! Don't take the risk of putting it off until another day, repent, turn to Christ NOW wherever you are at because you aren't guaranteed to live another day on this Earth. Believe God's Word, ask Him to save you and He will do it just like He promised. The choice is yours to make. ---------------------------------------------------------------- If you would like more information or don't have a church to attend, we livestream our services and would love for you to join us. Now use the rhyme to make a silly thought around the number and the product to remember. bread/fish/eggs For 1 = sun think of the sun baking a big loaf of bread (see it in your mind) 2 =shoe think of a fish walking on the bottom of a lake living in a shoe 3 -tree think of an egg tree with eggs dropping to the ground and splatting. 4 =door 5 - bee hive 6 =sticks 7 -heaven 8 =plate 9 =vine 10 = hen You can remember silly pictures with the numbers easier You will find that you can remember a new list each time you go to the store without mixing the 2 together.

  • 'Having a Plan B' - if you've led a life full of uncertainty, it's natural to develop more than one plan for every critical juncture because experience has taught you that having only one go-to move is a recipe for disaster. 'Food tastes better' - that has a lot to do with people's relationship with food. If you're grateful for the food you have, no matter who prepared it, it will taste good. 'You love the music of your teens' - not if your teens were spent in survival mode. Then, it's trauma-inducing. 'Text message punctuation': seriously??? (if I hadn't punctuated that, you might have thought that I unquestionably accepted that 'fact') It seems a lot of these 'facts' are attributable to only a very small slice of the world's population, not human psychology, in general.

    @krejados1@krejados12 жыл бұрын
    • If you were to ask me about human psychology in this instance is tell u it's always nurtured out of understanding of one's own self. You get not only what your taught but what you want to be. It's hard to understand in any case how one would continue down a path thought to another of self destruction however after a point with the way one is to understand the way they think and feel it is no longer viewed as self destruction. It becomes enlightening, as well as a way to be with you inner self. You learn where true love and happiness comes from within. Especially if you live a life of service. You become love is very true. You become all that you are. And you reach for everything you can be. Never ever forgetting that what you live shows.
