  • They did Jeana soooo dirty. She came out with a video where she exposes top model, and said Tyra told her she was going to be getting a wig with hair that looked similar to the hair she had when she was a kid, before the alopecia, and then when she got to the salon, Law Roach literally said “we know we said you were getting a wig, but PSYCH! We are going to bic your head”. The mental and emotional abuse they put these poor girls through is disgusting

It's truly fascinating and heartbreaking. The story about this makeover is in part two if you're looking for it, but both parts are definitely worth a watch. Give her a follow while you're there!

Funnily enough Danielle didn’t have it fully closed and she was the winner with has had the longest run with covergirl if I am not mistaken. Whereas gaps were more fashionable by 2011 and so she had Chelsea Hurley actually widen her gap on cycle 15.

  • Here’s the tea; Jeana Turner (the bald queen) was not crying because they shaved her hair. According to Jeana herself, she was perfectly fine with shaving her hair and there is no reason for her to cry because of that. However, when Tyra was telling what they were going to do to Jeana on TV, she literally said “say good bye to your wig! We are going to give you a new one that resembles the hair that you were born with” or something like that. BUT they edited it out to be “Say good bye to your wig!”and decided to shave her head literally once Jeana got to the hair salon. That’s why she was crying. If you want to know about more truth, there is a whole 25min video of her exposing the whole ANTM and Tyra. So def check it out.

  • I remember watching this season, well all of them, but particularly this one. I developed stress related Alopecia in Jan 2015 - I went from one bald patch to nothing in 2 weeks, eventually my eyelashes and brows fell out too. It was difficult at first, but I went to NYC in the March and it was a fashion statement (I’m from England) so many people complimented my lack of hair! I’ve ended up having so much fun being bald! I got a scalp tattoo, have beautiful wigs in countless styles and colours - I love a statement earring and sunglasses whilst rocking my BALDILOCKS!!☺️ I absolutely loved being bald. Randomly after 4 and a half years my hair started growing back - my Mum suddenly died a few months earlier and I had a really traumatic reaction ending up in hospital for months - my hair is now past my shoulders and I hate it 😂 it’s such high maintenance because I have naturally curly but very frizzy hair! I also have stage 4 cancer so can’t work currently-I’d love to try some of the Xmondo products - particularly the curl foam and the purple dye.. in time I hope to save enough money to order them ☺️ but I’m expecting to buzz my hair off by the end of the year.

I have been watching ANTM since practically its inception and I remember Tyra constantly telling the girls that they needed to be a certain weight to be booked in the industry. One girl gained a couple of pounds and Tyra SHAMED her saying that in this industry you need to 'have the burger without the bun'. She reduced that poor girl to tears, telling her that NEVER in the history of ANTM had they had to photoshop so much. • I grew up with eczema, a skin condition that causes dry, irritated skin, and often dry, red, flaky patches of skin, kinda like what the woman had who couldn't wear the weave. This year, it exploded. My entire neck was bright red. My eyelids had dry red patches on them. The inner side of my elbows were bright red, and I had various patches on my collarbones and arms. I was asked by everyone I met what had happened, if I had burns or something. People would stare at me in the grocery store or anywhere else. My mom put foundation over the patches during events and parties. The worst part was when I was going overseas to visit my grandparents and cousins for the first time in 9 years. My mother was frantically asking doctors and dermatologists for something to remove them, so I could look patch-free for my family. I asked her why, and she said, "I want you to be beautiful". I couldn't be beautiful with this eczema, apparently. I couldn't be beautiful to my own mother just because of a skin condition I didn't ask for, that wasn't my fault. I didn't like it, so I made her promise not to take me to the doctor, and explained that eczema takes time and care to get rid of. I cried when I found out she booked multiple appointments anyways, and broke a promise she made to her own daughter simply because of looks. I already had advice from doctors for my health, I already had prescription creams and medicines, and I was taking them. She wanted to solve it fast, like the snap of a finger, because she didn't think I could look presentable to my OWN FAMILY because of this condition. Love yourself, take care of yourself, don't judge by looks, and don't shame anyone for something they CAN'T CONTROL. Please.

    • I can kinda relate, I someohow caught this rare skin disease that just caused dark spots on my skin EVERYWHERE, from like my scalp to my like feet... and I wore my crochet in my face as much as I could. I was like afraid of showing my face and going outside. But I learned to accept it. The thing is sometimez it goes away forever for other people and their skin goes back to normal, others might still have scars from it. And for some it still comes back... so it came back for me but not my entire body, just my chest, like between my breasts, like around that space, so if I wear like tank tops maube you can see it. Anyway, my mom obsesses over it, anytime I'm wearing something showing my chest or it shows she always rushes oved to inspect it or if she sees me come out the shower sometimes, literally anytime... Now I don't care about it anymore, I'm like whatever. But my mom now she's all like "Oh, it looks bad, I neex to take you to the doctor" like frankly it's everyone in my family and most adults I meet. It's annoying, my mom doesn't let me wear ANYTHING wear it shows and if it does, I wear something underneath. She says I need to go to the doctor because people might think she's not taking care of me and also it doesn't look good. Honestly, it's not that bad... at least imo...

      @clivebby4877@clivebby48775 жыл бұрын
    • Just sending you hugs and I wish one day your mom will understand, that eczema isn't a patch of dirt you can wash off, but basically a painful, itchy, inflamed wound and covering it up is usually makes it worse. Keep treating your eczema with remedies and creams that you, personally find good. I don't know how old you are, but I would like to give you 2 advice... 1. Try to be open about it. If people ask, just tell them what it is, this way you educate them and give satisfactory answer. If you are in school - same thing. If someone is trying to bully you or make hurtful comments, try to educate them, because hate stems from ignorance... and you can cure that ignorance since you have the knowledge. Your true friends will check on you later and ask you about it just to know how are you doing and how is your health. And if strangers stare at you... look at them and give them the friendliest of smiles you can give, because you are an amazing, unique person and your condition doesn't change that. 2. Don't cover up your skin just for the sake of hiding! If you feel like your skin needs fresh air, just let it breath. Doing both of these things helps you mentally a lot. Talking about it and showing your skin to people you learn to accept yourself and your condition a lot more. If your mom tries to force you to cover yourself.. you can ask her, why is she trying to intentionally make your health worse. P.s.: Every time someone looked at me with pity and said "Omg it must be so awful for you!" I just laughed and said "Well, at least it's just eczema. It's better than constantly fearing to touch a piece of peanut or accidentally eat something that says "May contain peanut" and get an anaphylactic shock. That's sounds so much worse to me." Again: Big hugs! Believe it or not, it will get better, trust me on this one. I made many friends at pubs and local places where people just came to me and asked if I was right and what's up with my patches. I could tell you so many stories about situations like this and as you grow older you will have a lot of positive stories!!

  • They have this huge budget for makeovers and they couldn't find out Shanice has psoriasis and get a doctor in to see her? A dermatologist can help manage the skin condition and give them the go-ahead on what products they can use on her hair and scalp safely. I know she said she's seen doctors but she might not necessarily have seen a dermatologist/immunologist regularly or been able to afford the proper treatments.

  • My mom has alopecia totalis, and it started when she was 5 years old. It has ALWAYS been her biggest insecurity. As her daughter, I always make sure I remind her how gorgeous she is without a wig on. I feel so sorry for the model who was quickly forced into taking off their wig, but I hope they learn to love themself!
