While GM and Ford are going green and essentially are giving up on performance vehicles (minus Corvette and the Mustang (although the Mach E ruins all credibility) and cars all together, Dodge is sticking their middle finger up in the air while doing smoking donuts in the parking lot.

Unfortunately the Dodge brothers died young, in 1920; long before high performance and styling were introduced. The credit for the post 1920 cars featured should actually go to men such as Walter P. Chrysler, Virgil Exner, Bill Brownlie, Tom Hoover, and Lee Iacocca; just to name a few.

Yes i love the sound one of my favorite songs
So much American in that
I don’t really like it tbh. I’m more into the 1970 sound
Wether we wanted it or not.
Better than Chevy's cringeworthy ad campaign
Yeah but what isn't? Leukemia, maybe.

John Roberts JD Powerhamer commercials are actually very sexy in my opinion... oh wait wrong commercial
I judge my cars on the car that they are, and not the commercials I love Chevy cars

that must have been so fun filming with all those classic cars racing

Clayton Pope Speaking of vintage music do you know what song played when the 56 Dodge raced the 70’s Dodge?
Especially that purple '69 Coronet R/T
"100 years later, their spirit lives on" I know it's just a marketing gimmick but that legit gives me chills. It's a shame they didn't get to see how far their company has come... Absolute legends
same, knowing they are born in the 19th century and died before 2 years after WW1 ended is just a sad thing for them, may their spirits lives on to see the glorious dodge has come to.
I honestly wouldn't mind seeing a full movie about these guys if it's filmed in this style, just like Ford vs Ferrari
They skipped almost half a decade.
"2020 dodge grand caravan, get yours before they're gone."
Actually it’s not marketing because they literally created dodge so their spirit is literally living on with every new car made!! Their last name is on every hellcat😈🔥🔥
And High Society hated the Dodge Brothers because after work they went drinking with their workers
Yeah i read about that they weren't allowed into some high social club yet they were rich until they bought it lol
Lol they seem like pretty cool guys to work for! Rip
Ha.. my boss owns the local bar so all our money goes straight back to him
@@andymb601 Did you also know that during the '50s to mid 70's Dodge actually had a separate garage that employees could use to work on their own projects with company tools and equipment, as long as it wasn't on the clock.
@@K1ng1995 bruh, get me a time machine
sad thing is that they only produced 2 cars by them self while they were alive... they never knew that their company would become one of the best car manufactures in america
Certainly not the best. Worst automatic transmissions and horrible electrical issues. Now owned by a conglomerate of french and italian tuna can makers aka stellantis.
@@louiewatson9389 the auto transmission in 2nd Gen trucks are trash, but now they are fine. I don’t see Chevy get shit on for their transmissions.....
At least Dodge hasn’t lost their identity, the Black Sheep of the American auto maker. While GM and Ford are going green and essentially are giving up on performance vehicles (minus Corvette and the Mustang (although the Mach E ruins all credibility) and cars all together, Dodge is sticking their middle finger up in the air while doing smoking donuts in the parking lot.
I'd love to see the look on their faces when they see a Dodge Demon, a car that can pop wheelies at launch straight from the factory.
And some of those big-named racing/car games have disrespected Dodge.
DODGE has more respect to their founders because they stay true to heritage while Chevy is pondering to the lowest degree of marketing
Amen!
Has their ever been a chevy commercial honoring the founder(cant remember his name)
dont get me started on ford and "mAcH-e"

And now their Spirit lives on. So beautifull😪😢
Not really but there's hope with this possible Kia buy-out.
Its annoying, great history company owned by fiat who's going to be bought by Renault, shames dodge tbh
Greg Delia John Deleorean :D
Don't forget Carl Breer, Owen Skelton, and Fred Seder, the "Three Musketeers" of engineering who essentially designed the first modern automobile, and who were the driving force behind the Chrysler Corporation's essential technical superiority in the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s and early 1950s.
The Dodge brothers’s story has a lot in common with Bruce McLaren’s story While Bruce Mclaren didn’t build his company from the ground up like the Dodge brothers did they both died very Young and never got to see never got the chance to see the brands they made famous thrive throughout history
Well yeah but Dodge would have never been a thing if those brothers wasn’t alive
Tbh if I remember correctly dodge's in the 1920s became famous with the mafia
Regardless of historical accuracy, this was a damn fine advertising campaign. I'm not even a mopar guy and I find myself rooting for these two by the end of each commercial.
These guys were legends.
Just like the demon

If only the Dodge brothers could see now... How far the company has come... Amazing
"Get yours before they're history." That hits different in 2023.
1:53 sound of spirit!
The charger sound is amazing
Ever heard about Audi, Mercedes, BMW, Nissan, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Masseratti, Porsche, Mitsubishi, Subaru,Ford,.........
Jotaro Kujo mhm
Yes the sound of a spirit. An evil spirit that came from the deepest pits of hell that has now possessed these cars. Everytime you floor it you can hear his scream and you can feel him trying to break your neck with the absolutely insane acceleration.
My favorite sound.. no car can beat this sound for me
Gotta love that Belvedere. What a leap there was after the war.
42lookc you mean the 56? I think it’s a Royal Lancer? I’m not too versed in Dodge terminology, Im a Ford and GM man myself but I know Belvedere was Plymouth. As I have parted a few of them out.
Sure looks like a Plymouth.
Jacob Mason Plymouth has a lotttt uglier grille.
TheKingofthewaste You can tell it isn't a Belvedere also because of the back fins. They're level with the rest of the car, while the Belvedere had fins like the Fury.
General Grievous for the 57-58 Belvedere they did. In 57-58 the Dodge had taller fins than Plymouth. The car is definitely not a Plymouth it is a dodge royal lancer. 55 or 56.
1:00 I love this one
With the Chargers and Challengers out there, the Dodge brothers would be proud. Their creations have come a long way.
There is nothing in this world growls like a dodge engine million $ sound.
Ooooh lol
You mean a hemi
The Studebaker 289 cu. V8 would like a word with you. Never had I heard a more throaty and full engine note...

If the Dodge brothers were alive today, they would be proud with the legacy they left behind today.

Except for the fact that they’re discontinuing their cars to make them electric
1:01 definitely one of my favorite ads of all time
1:52 that supercharger whine is soooo good

Don't you just love how over a hundred years of improvements the brothers didn't age. Not every change is an improvement. Something are better the way they are. Dodge brothers...the spirit that lives forever.
The dodge brothers were real you guys know
youngzameer roblox whoa really?
Yes we all know that
Rubber Duggy ^^^? Rethink my guy
I think it's a joke on Chevy's "real people" ads.
I was riding with my friend Bob Sheilds in his 1927 Buick. Bob's brother was in front of us driving a 1921 Dodge Brothers phaeton similar to this one at 1:01. Their nephew was driving their 1948 Dodge sedan and he passed the 1921 phaeton. That moment reminded me of this commercial at 1:12
bring back ads like these, modest and compelling. Its unfortanate what happened to the brothers, both died of the spanish flu in the 20's, we never know what their true legacy would have become if they lived out their lives.
As a Toyota/Scion freak fan, I find this the most inspiring video I have ever watched. We use to own Dodge back in 2000’s. Our favorite was my moms 99’ Dodge Durango 5.9L V8. And trade for 4.7L. To be honest, I would like to have the old Dodge Durango 99’ model back. For the good old days.
“Always pushing each other the way brothers can” most real statement I’ve ever heard i remember when my brother got his r/t charger and I got a charger hellcat then he got a challenger demon and I’ve never smiled harder at the way we pushed each other on the highways and realized nobody’s got it like dodge does.
Legend has it that their ghosts are still chasing that red Viper at 1:46 today.
The Dodge Viper saved the company all together, a joint car between Mercedes and dodge
Sadly the new dart wont be like the old one

@@MonsterHobbiesModelCarGarage Well my bad too because there actually was one scene, and that was the 1921 scene during the fireworks.
@@WitchKing-Of-Angmar I think the issue is that the time periods between 1900 - 1914 and then 1919 - 1929 look very much the same as far as buildings clothing, and even the cars go. @@MonsterHobbiesModelCarGarage God, mens suits haven't changed from TODAY since the 1830s. Women got like 50 species of birds in their wardrobe
the ending of the one commercial "get yours before theyre history" really hit deep everything is going electric now. i hope dodge survives since muscle is their whole identity now.
American Car Companies have so much more character than the german ones. yes the german cars may have better quality but i'd rather have a lovely dodge challenger built with pride
eeehmm what German cars have quality until all the electronics fail. Meanwhile there are still Fords and Dodges still on the street today, but not Chevys. Poor JD Power is losing their reputation.
+Jason Plays Same shit for every car today, they all break down if electronics fail (germans, americans, japanese... )
French electronics added to that list its trash my car broke 7 times in row all electronic probs
Comparing german car to american car is like comparing a businessman in a classy suit to a rugged muscle man in a flannel, each is a badass in his own way
Stick with your poorly built challenger, I’d rather drive the equivalent of a Swiss Army knife.
Now that's what I call a car commercial! Very satisfying to watch especially the 2nd one
Best car adverts ever made. Dodge always come up with something creative!
So, adding the dodge brothers of the list of people to bring back to life
Sad they died too soon. An american icon.. that sadly I will never have
They would've been proud to see the Dodge cars today. 💯
I love it
Thank You Dodge Brothers
The fact that they don't even mention the K car that saved the company as their heritage says alot about Dodge brand nowadays
They did mention the Dart at the very least.

thank you very much Dodge brothers for creating amazing cars
