That dog's tongue covered that baby's entire face. The lick was so gigantic it knocked the baby over and I had to get out of Dodge before the mom showed up.

P.S. Oh, yes, one of my very earliest cats was Rau, aka as Rauzenheimer. When I call the cats for chow, I'm quite sure the neighbors are probably saying "there's that crazy neighbor again" and laughing their heads off.

    • @@amandajones6481 Sweet little Tripod was a 8-9 week old kitten I found with 1 of its hind legs wedged between 2 planks of a neighbor's fence. That precious fur baby had been there for a while struggling to free itself and had maggots in the wound made by his struggles. He bit completely through my thumb while I was trying to free him. I took him to the vet but unfortunately his leg couldn't be saved as the circulation had been impeded for too long. I brought him home and after a week or so he was showing some interest in my cats. Pretty soon he was racing around like nothing ever happened. I already had 7 cats and others in the household thought we had more than enough cats so to keep the peace I put a flyer up at the vet's office and the nicest young man & his girlfriend saw it when they took a dog they found in the road in to the vet to scan for a chip. From that I knew he was a good guy so I let him adopt Tripod. I've shed a lot of parting tears over the years when 1 of my babies leaves for a new home but I found it isn't fair to the animals when you have too many. You can't possibly give them the proper care they need or enough affection they deserve. However, I don't let just anyone have 1 of my fur babies. One of my greatest cats over all the years was a large long haired orange & white lover I named Simpson. I found him hiding in the bushes outside my house. He was about 5-6 months old and was positively endearing. He was Mr Personality, a real clown.

  • "Maternal instinct" "Him". That's not how it works. It is paternal instinct.

    @nealm6764@nealm67642 жыл бұрын
    • And yes. Saying that in nature males aren’t usually protective of offspring is definitely me calling human males bad or neglectful because we’re exactly like dogs. Humans may as well be dogs, that’s how it is now if calling a male dog “maternal” in nature is an affront to both dog and man.

      @SomeOne-vf1rs@SomeOne-vf1rs2 жыл бұрын
    • @@SomeOne-vf1rs Your politics have completely caused you to lose your bearings. Get well soon. It is still paternal and not maternal. Words matter. Language matters.

      @nealm6764@nealm67642 жыл бұрын
    • Neal M One of us is projecting their politics onto a dog. The other is explaining how stupid that is. Get well at any time.

      @SomeOne-vf1rs@SomeOne-vf1rs2 жыл бұрын
    • Neal M Also what politics? If I were adamantly left wouldn’t I try to be ignoring or doing away with perceived gender roles? Other people I’ve argued with over this seem right leaning, so I assume you are but just.... don’t connect these dots, just like the others didn’t.

      @SomeOne-vf1rs@SomeOne-vf1rs2 жыл бұрын
    • Neal M Maybe it’s too much to expect logical thought from somebody who jumps to defend the masculinity of a dog... oh, I mean, correct somebody’s use of language. Too bad you don’t understand it yourself.
