Not with those 2 sisters. A baby elephant 🐘 calf’s survival rate doubles if it is born to sisters opposed to big brothers. Not that big brothers don’t protect. But big sisters teach protect and discipline calf’s better than brothers. Very maternal

Yes family sisters allomothers protect these vulnerable babies ♡ Surviving their challenges is extraordinary ❤️ one third of calves don't make it. Elephant advocacy and conservation a passion ♥️ I'll be in Kenya this summer.

I watched a new one week new born to receive violent navlnkikc from her mum in a sanctuary ! keepers took the baby to care him and this little calf has been crying for 5 hours !! keepers were desperate one week after the baby a devoted the situation ! but it’s a big trauma !! elephants have feeling very close to human ones 💕🐘💕🐘👼🥰👌🏼this video is very moving
