The Mongol Empire at it's height took up 16% of all the land on Earth and controlled 1 out of every 4 people on the planet, a 13th century superpower. It's presence was very brief compared to other empires, but what if the Mongol Empire was suddenly recreated today with the same borders they had at their apex? This video attempts to answer that question using data analysis and statistics from readily available information and data.

  • I'm curious how many of these old empires u could fit together on a map n how much overlap would there be? Add a few theories on the problems these empires would face against each other like the type of stuff u pointed out in the Stanistan video :3 love that name, it's the most empirical sounding name for an empire I've ever heard of. "I am the emperor of Stanistan!" translation "In this land of lands with all of its kings I am king of them all!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 makes me giggle when I deconstruct it

    • Today's Mongolia is a ragtag collection of descendants. After Mongolia was annexed by the qing dynasty, the mongols with armies moved south to live. A few insignificant local herders remained in what is now Mongolia.

They were composed of tribes, which were attacked by two successive Chinese regimes. Later, some mongolians surrendered and became one of the main forces except the royal army. For centuries Mongolia was ruled by China and did some good things, including resisting the expansion of the British east India company.

China is home to the largest number of ethnic mongolians, who slaughtered and replaced two-thirds of the population of northern China in the 13th century.

  • I’d love to see the reformed mongol empire but after 5 years of Genghis Kahn ruling it. I mean administratively he made one of the most stable empires in history. Religious freedoms, amazing trade etc. It’s also why I think (if they followed the original ethos of “idc what you do but we defend our land together”) they wouldn’t immediately collapse like some other reformed nations/empires

  • The thing is this is just raw pure strength if it ever reunited. With the laws and connection within the country things will be distributed and help other parts of the country. So this country would grow and most likely double its economy in about 20 years easily. When I mean raw its numbers are if America was devided and Texas, California, Illinois tried to live on their own without help from its neighbors states in food, gas, all products. Things would get way cheaper helping the economy grow and peoples lives getting better for them to be more productive.
