    • @@cofyyy7069 in pure compute some can compete in the low to mid range. But all xeons fall short when it comes to IO Expanders. You just can't get high performance networks and storage with Intel... Just not enough pcie lanes.

    • It's not that they don't work at all, if you only need a few hypervisors and a slow FC connection for datastore and maybe a 40gig nic is enough Intel will still work OK. But don't expect nvme storage pools shared via 100gig rdma networks... For the right price xeons are still a good product, it's not like they suddenly stopped working. You are just a little limited, in the end it's all a matter of pricing

  • After binge watching AMD videos, at 0:02, ''true leaders never rest'', shows how much time, love, money, they actually put into their products. From Ryzen, Radeon, a 96C chip, achieving FSR3. It's just crazy... At how much AMD has advanced... Is proof of their hard work. Hence why it's called AMD. Technology is crazy. Since 2001, technology has changed so much. Seeing AMD take full advantage of time, full usage of engineering, funding, is a huge innovation! Especially when AMD was the first ever to push a 8C cpu. Not only that, seeing AMD push gpus on par, and sometimes passing their competitors, not only cheaper, not only does it draw less power, it is awesome! Amd's choice of choosing Lisa, was the best things for AMD! W for AMD.

    • You might check AMD Threadripper lines for heavy rendering workload. Up to 64 Cores/processor in a workstation

  • Buonasera, scusate se scrivo in italiano ma purtroppo il mio inglese è davvero scarso. Avrei una domanda da fare su 3 processori epyc. Qualcuno saprebbe dirmi che differenze ci sono tra gli il 7v12, 7h12 ed il nuovo 7t83? Ho visto che, a parte la frequenza del 7h12 che raggiunge i 2600 MHz, per il resto sembrano uguali. Grazie

  • I remember the Athlon and Athlon 64 times like it were yesterday, then I always adviced AMD to anyone who asked me. When Intel released core processors everything changed and the worst came with bulldozer, I sincerely thought AMD would dissapear. Now, I admit i'm glad to see what AMD has done with zen architecture and I feel like so many times before when AMD was for me the company that really made the market evolve and improve. Whithout AMD, Intel in this moment surely had netburst architecture and his promised 10 ghz on them xD, and again, without AMD, we'd be stucked in the four core skylakes as top for mainstream. Thanks AMD, and thanks Lisa Su for make me remember those precious times when I read every tomshardware review and felt the hope that other x86 processor model was possible, a model where innovation and constant improvement effort was possible, more than simply making money giving customers little upgrades and faking benchmarks or making people thing that the only important was megahertzs instead of actual performance. And also, thanks for not to make the same mistake of the Athlon 64 times, when AMD had the 90nm Athlon 64 x2 and stop innovating and simply shrinked them to 65nm creating brisbanes. Never stop innovating, never think your competitor has nothing to do against you.

  • Let's hope that Intel with its 11th comes strong. Monopolies hurt us consumers, beyond the fact that I personally have not bought intel processors lately

    • 12th gen came just a few weeks ago. Intel now beats amd in gaming only. If your talking about workstations then intel has a long way to go before it can beat amd in it. I just hope intel focuses on workstation cpus equally as gaming cpus so that it can provide the same competition to amd in workstation just like in gaming.

  • Sem suporte para o windows 8.1 Eu comprei uma placa de video da AMD. Modelo RX 580, paguei um valor absurdo por ela , e como uso é o windows 8.1, joguei meu dinheiro fora, pois esta placa gráfica , simplesmente não instala no windows 8.1 não comprem, pois a AMD não me deu nem um suporte até hoje.
