Strap yourselves in. If both are in top form on Friday, this will be beyond epic. It may well be one of the most important matches in tennis history. It's a generational clash of legacies.
No your wrong, it’s the women’s match that we’re all looking forward to surely. Only kidding. The Grand Slams highlight the ridiculousness of equal prize money.

Who's here in February 2024 to remind themselves of how well Alcaraz can really play?

The fact that this is a grand slam semi final best of 5 set....oh my this will be legendary
Idk if Alcaraz can maintain a high level for 5 sets against the best player ever; he is certainly more likely to than Tsitsipas or Zverev but we saw him have some iffy moments yesterday, and if you give Djokovic an inch he’ll take a mile.

@@viksinha5410 I love that line, "if you give Djokovic an inch he'll take a mile." Really really true, and you can easily see it in so many of his clutch performances where he wins matches down a set, two sets, a break, and even match point, but still comes out on top.
Djokovic has 16 years above Alcaraz, and still remains a contender for number 1 rankings and winning slams. That's an amazing feat.
Actually, if you counted his Wimbledon points from last year he would have stayed number 1 with no competition.

I love tennis since 1987 and Carlos became my favorite player of all time. It says it all...He's the only player that gives more entertainements, roars, and emotions than all the other players together. Others are so boring, Carlitos makes me love tennis again. These two are going to have a legendary rivalry. A champion coming to end of his career versus the next champion.

Alcaraz!!!!!!!!!!! .... always ! It is so interesting to watch the crowd cheered for Carlos because of his creativity, his audacity, but also his surprisingly sobriety when wining a point in contrast to the much more but less effective bravado like celebrations by Djokovic. At one point you can almost see people almost crying of excitement and joy for Carlo's out of the box game.
Thrilling match. Carlos plays with such confidence.
When Djokovic's career ends, we will proudly look back how he conquered not just Nadal and Federer on the court and hostile crowds but governments who have denied him from playing tennis. Novak Djokovic will be back and he will prevail.

So fortunate to be alive in this era and have their 2nd meeting ahead in Roland Garros.
Tomorrow’s semifinal is going to be a blockbuster. Alcaraz is in frightening form, but he’s never faced Djokovic at a slam before. Anyone expecting Nole to roll over like Tsitsipas is in for a rude awakening.
Nole ain’t Stef though. Not a fair comparison. But I do expect Nole to fold like he did against Meddy. I don’t think he can handle the pressure just like in 2021.
@@aiylacarson Carlos is under at least as much pressure as Nole. He’s out to prove that he can win a bo5 against one of the Big Three. The difference is that Nole’s been here before. He’s played far too many epic matches against Rafa to be intimidated by Carlos.
@@aiylacarson This is nowhere near the level of pressure of 2021. Everyone talked about calendar year grand slam for most of the year back then. We know Djokovic always finds a way, he did against Nadal on two occasions. This match will be the highest quality tennis and may the best player win.
Let's be real, he found a way past an out of form Rafa during a poor 2 year stretch, and against an injured Rafa. Rafa had smoked him their last go round in 2020. As a champion does he took advantage the circumstances. Novak is a force of nature and his tie breaks are the best of the big 3. I do believe Novak will try to keep the ball away from the FH of Carlos as he usually ends points quickly from that wing. Neither has faced anyone who moves as well as they do so this match should produce amazing rallies
