A huge majority of riders really do feel like they are untouchable. Smacking mirrors, kicking cars and speeding off when something like this happens. Most get away. But I can guarantee you that if everyone reacted the same way as this driver, most of those riders cannot and will not fight. Lane splitting is not legal or safe at speed (in moving traffic). If it's not safe then you're not legally allowed to do it. Lane splitting is a Grayzone... Yes it might be allowed but the law states it can only be done if the middle is completely clear. If not, you have to stop and merge again. Moving traffic always has to watch out for the static traffic. He probably posted the video to get hate towards the car driver but is absolutely right to get mad at the biker, his action where absolutely unjustified.

as a biker myself, i had to side with the car. car is stay in his line, his wheels didn't even pass the line, that means he has the right of way and the right to get angry. pro tip to new riders: just because you're on a motorcycle doesn't mean you are special. If you are, then you need to park on the parking spot for disabled people.
A good road user is tolerant of other people’s mistakes. Lesson learned for the motorcyclists.

Lane splitting should be illegal. There is no legitimate reason to justify it. And if you're going to intentionally damage someone's personal property then FAFO.
lane splitting saves gasoline and thus the environment. also everyones time and nerves. the only thing that is annoying are people who always do things to keep others from succeeding with something. there is no real problem with lane splitting; anyway it should always be open for emergency vehicles; and bikers are the type of people who help you in an accident and not just standing around and blocking the way. filtering protects motorcyclists from being killed from a rear ending being stopped at the end of a line of cars waiting for a light it's legal in most places in the world, including nearly every civilized place (american red states are not civilized locations so they don't count towards civilized places where it's illegal)

A huge majority of riders really do feel like they are untouchable. Smacking mirrors, kicking cars and speeding off when something like this happens. Most get away. But I can guarantee you that if everyone reacted the same way as this driver, most of those riders cannot and will not fight. For some reason riding a motorcycle makes people think they are bad asses. Not all. But most.
Actually for many riders it when they are nearly killed by a car driver that they react. Riders are not surrounded by metal and feel more vulnerable.

As a biker I approve of this. He had absolutely no reason to slap his mirror from the little that’s shown in this clip. And to slap the mirror then act like a coward he had it coming. Lane splitting is not legal or safe at speed (in moving traffic). If it's not safe then you're not legally allowed to do it. But this guy safely passed this vehicle and was on his way up to the front of the line but, noooo! He's got to smack the guys mirror.

The same applies to driving your car in your lane and not too close to other lanes. Lets ignore bikes for a second what if there was a oversized vehicle in the next lane or another lazy driver drifting too close to the next lane.

Lane splitting is a Grayzone... Yes it might be allowed but the law states it can only be done if the middle is completely clear. If not, you have to stop and merge again. Moving traffic always has to watch out for the static traffic. He probably posted the video to get hate towards the car driver but is absolutely right to get mad at the biker, his action where absolutely unjustified.
Allowing bikers to cut traffic in the middle of the lane is one of the stupidest laws. Now drivers are held accountable for the bikers if anything happens
