At the bare absolute minimum take the lesson what happened on January 6th was because people wouldn't stop fighting. No one wants to be a looser. It just might work. But the thing a lot of people don't get with a not criminally reaponsible findinsg (a.k.a. insanity defense) is that you don't get to walk away a free person after it. You get remanded to a mental health hospital and will be held there until the doctors are satisfied you're no longer a danger to yourself or the community. That may well never happen, or at least take longer than the criminal sentence would.
