@@Beatspe_Visual15 A quiet place
Baby delivery scene.
In most movies children are coddled and protected, so adults are usually sacrificed to protect them so they survive to the end. This scene made the movie real. You foul up, you die. Three innocent mistakes were made by three different people, and it cost the entire family dearly. It told us that no one's effing around.
Agree but I would say there were more than three mistakes. First, the father leaves the batteries in the plain sight, second, adults walk out first and leave kids without supervision, third, the sister gives him the toy (thus showing they can bypass the rules) and again leaves him without supervision, fourth, the child decides to take the batteries, fifth, they leave him walking the last in their formation - all of it was one big mistake, honestly...
4 mistakes. Neither of the kids listened to their parents; the girl went against her parent's wishes by giving her brother the toy anyways, and the boy put the batteries in despite being told it's too loud. Meanwhile *both* parents fucked up by not making sure the kids left the toy behind.
Well, the father DOES sacrifice himself at the end, so your point is...
@@yevgeniyaleshchenko849Regarding the second mistake, I think the parents decided to walk out first to make sure the path is quiet/smooth enough not to catch unnecessary attention.. If by any chance they failed to keep quiet, both adults would be gone in mere seconds since they are strategically placed at the front..
Giving a kid a toy that makes noise was just bad writing
This scene was actually a huge relief. I thought for sure they were gonna spend the whole movie trying to stop that kid from making noise.
😂
Then they had a baby 🤦🏽♀️
@@jozzz222LIKE?? DEATH WISH HELLO
having a baby in this show is asking for ot
They lost the kid. So they decided to make a new baby. Just to make things more complicated for them.
Why would you let one of your youngest children walk 50 meters behind the entire pack, unsupervised during an extinction level monster invasion.
The fathers normally lead the way. Plus, the kid stopped at one moment to play with his stupid toy.
Because despite what you may think, long walks really numb the mind. They walked over 3 miles to town then another 3 going back. You start to pay less attention as you go and get more into the rhythm of walking, And apocalyptic scenarios aren't going to change that mental numbing.
because movie would be boring
Hey, hey, now, we can't be enabling the whole "helicopter parenting" thing. It's bad for a child's personal development. Give the kids some free reign.
@@aromalkrishnana2032 No, fathers with kids that small, normally, take position to behold the said kids in sight, i.e. at the back. Especially when overgrown lizards like that are lurking around I think
Imagine having to hold in every fart and every sneeze the rest of your life because they make too much noise.
This comment tho 😂😂😂
I'd be gone in seconds. 😂
all dads dead by the third day
Silent farts and sneezing into pillows
Yep, or tinkling in the pot, rustling in your blankets, mumbling in your sleep, pouring water into anything, pulling up your zipper, lighting a match, etc. etc. Life would be impossible for everyone.
Creating a world full of very quiet children. Evolution at its finest.

I think you should stop using big boy words just for the sake of it
@@spidey4588 Most grammar school students would get this. What exactly did you have trouble understanding. Perhaps I can try to explain it to you.
Man that monster really wanted that toy.
Those aliens really want to ET go home the fuck outta that place, man. Tackled that kid down for the spaceship.
😂😂😂
As the quiet kid, I find this an absolute win
SAME HERE
giganotosauras arent quite quite.

Same here too
Don’t you losers get tired of writing these bs “as a…” comments?
Why didn’t the Dad keep the batteries? Could’ve found a compatible flashlight along the route and kept the toy from turning on.
Exactly
Lmao love how it goes from intense trying to save the kid just for the kid to die, to some happy sounding jazz
lmao
Lol
Enfermo
This was DARK. that's a stone cold opening and I love it.
Leaves toy and batteries laying in front of kids face and walks away. Hikes home thru monster infested area and leaves child to bring up the rear 50 yards behind the rest of the family. Seems like exactly what you’d do if you wanted to get rid of a kid.
FR
Terrible movie tropes here
shortage of food you know
one thing about entitlement which kids seem to be full of. they don't have a clue. took himself out of the gene pool
🤣🤣🤣
Kids are such a liability in a situation like this.
No kid under the age of 5 would survive in this world.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 that's an understatement
I’ve thought the same thing with my 2 year old. He’s sitting here making random noises as I type this.
@@Jerico195 that’s harsh but even big kids are negligent enough to make loud noises all the time.
Yeah, defo won’t see kids after the collapse of society. Sick and disabled are the first to go. Then old people and kids. Then adults with a conscience. Until the only humans left are the horrible ones that are willing to do whatever it takes to survive
What I don't understand is that he's a small child and there's a monster around why in the world he is far behind instead of being with the parents.
An especially stupid piece of scriptwriting.
NO parent, would have their little one trailing behind if the situation was like this. I don’t ever let my kids trail behind.. anywhere.
They dont trail behind. But what i see in real life multiple times is that parents let rlly young kids drive bikes much further than parents. I have seen this many many times. They usually try yell them to slow down and wait but kids dont obey very often.
@@LeoFINuTube there are no creepy monsters around in real life, you know. So you can let your kids to go a little far from you.
@@timur43378 ofc. But there are other ppl. Some adults drive bicycle fast and young kids are not always so predictable. There also cars. So if kid knows mom is going for grocerys he might try cross street without realizing that some car drivers might not expect kid. I know even older kids who get themselves killed. One kid jump off bus and then started crossing streer in front of bus and car hit him and he dead. Younger kids are even more unpredictable.
@@LeoFINuTube sure. As parent you want to control and limit kid to not let him to get in trouble but you need to let him get used to real world we live in where some danger things exist. You let kid go far if you know (or think) that there is no danger. Sometimes you can be wrong. If you can balance this kid will be ok. But it's not even close to the situation in this movie. In that case you won't ever let kid go anywhere from your eyes, you would put them between you and your wife (I personally often do that in many cases). So this scene is showing stupid parents or whatever they are. But it's not ok.
@@timur43378 yes. I have General feeling ppl arent rlly smart In movies. We wouldnt get all the drama if they would be smart.
Ngl, him dying here was a massive relief for the rest of the family. If he wasn’t so far away they would all be dead, and if this situation didn’t happen he would get them killed anyways.
But then they have a baby that wants to cry day and night 😂
And in my opinion it's the sister's fault cause she gave him the toy back. Also I blame the parents too they shouldn't have left the toy and batteries 🔋 right there.
4:09
Parents: *sign languages we don't ever make any loud noises* Sister: *sign languages we don't ever make any loud noises* Child: *grabs the loudest possible thing near him*
The child basically committed.k.o. on himself
I agree, this child is incompetent. I mean, ik kids are dumb, but I've never seen a kid this dumb.
Bruh.. you yourself was also eat crayon when still a kid.. 😂
In that situation, with aliens chasing people for any tiny noise, let the batteries and the toy alone with him is the most horrific way those parents find out to get rid of their son (and his sister helps to that too).
Everybody helps
I doubt the boy knew that the toy would make loud sounds, considering he was born in a world where everything was quiet.
Never trust that your kid is following instructions if you turn your back 😂😂
I can tell you right now me walking barefoot on railroad tracks is not a recipe for silence.
I need that alien for the screaming kids in the mall I work at
Darwin award goes to this kid
😜
to the adult leaving the batteries. Who leaves the batteries? In a post-apocalyptic world, you take them with you
@@bananarepublic5655 It's not really post-apocalyptic. Usually that involves the absolute collapse of society. They still had electricity and running water, indicating that someone was still keeping the facilities providing that stuff operational somehow. The only thing is they just can't make noise and there's a very high likely that anything requiring batteries would make some kind of noise. Sure, there was a massive change in how society had to function to move forward but society was very much still intact for the most part.
Bruh.. i dont think you yourself are very smart when still a kid too.
The kid is not stupid. The kid is just being a kid, he has no knowledge of what's going on.
I think this scene established the tone of this world really well. Most of it is silent and when there is something about to make noise it is made to feel threatening. And then when there is the loud noise of the toy, we feel a sense of panic. I think it also stresses the “survival of the fittest” aspect of the movie. Kids are dumb and he knew better but he was a kid and that unfortunately meant that he didn’t have much of a chance surviving for that long. It also kind of introduces the characters and their personalities just by the way they react to this tragedy. This movie is crazy good dude
Excuse me 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Strange for kid, he've definitely seen these creatures before and should learnt quickly how dangerous they are, but no.
He's just dumb.
Survival of the fittest explained without a single word.
Plot twist: The entire apocalypse is actually just a prank by Dwight, just to get back at Jim.
☠️😂😂😂😂 bruhhh
I love the soothing jazz in the teaser right afterwards. lol
Made no sense you would let the little kid walk behind you like that. Would be like walking across the street and letting your child lag behind. Not to mention later it showed they had a gun. Why wouldn't that be an essential part of each dangerous trip? Always ruins movies for me when characters go against such obvious everyday logic in situations without reason.
AGREED! IDIOT PARENTS! PUT THE BATTIES IN YOUR POCKET. HAVE THE KID WALK WITH YOU! ALMOST LIKE THEY WANTED THE ALIEN TO GET THE KID! THAT'S WHAT I AM READING!
Well, it also doesn't make sense an alien without any technological advantage would be able to eliminate most of mankind just because its fast and has sharp nails. With such sensitivity to sound they would be very easy to lure to a trap and detonate a nuke. But hey, lets pretend we don't know this and that this is happening during pre-historical times...
@@Cobalt1520 I doubt when this was happening it was widely known sound was the problem. Militaries just thought they could try and shoot without actually planning. I think the invasion happened really quickly, so that really was a disadvantage for humans
Gun = loud noise Loud noise = die
It's okay. We can learn something from those not so genius people.
After watching this movie, kids wouldn't want to walk last.
It’s such a great opening because it was foreshadowing the little boys death. From him drawing the rocket on the ground, telling his sister that “it’s how they’ll get away” to almost dropping the toy from the shelf… all signs were pointing to his inevitable end, we just didn’t know it. When witnessing his death, and I think I can speak for most, that we knew this little boy would have never been able to survive this horrific world. It was bound to happen at some point, and it happened right in the very beginning. It’s incredibly sad, but also genius writing.
The fact that the kid survived even that long is a miracle
it is amazing how PRECISE now a days children understand the word "Don't"
I saw both of these movies about 3 months ago they are great movies (part 1 and 2 )
Not a dry eye in the house, laughing so hard.

Box of live Grenades, after pulling the pins out.
That gets rid of the weak link for sure.
The jazzy elevator/cafe outro music playing a few seconds after that made me laugh, ngl.
So Basically this kid's death was everyone's fault. It was the Dad's Fault for leaving the Toy and the Batteries on the Counter. It's the Sisters Fault for giving him back the Toy. It's the Kids fault for taking the Batteries. It's the Mother's fault for not watching her kid better and it's the older brothers fault for getting sick. If he had not been sick, they wouldn't have been there in the first place and he would still be alive. So sad. Poor Judgement.
Bud it’s not the brothers fault for getting sick I think you should Know that by now AND and it’s not sad I think y’all just need to chill cuz it’s not sad at all also it’s a movie what do you think you think it’s real
why tf is the kid so far behind them in the first place

Always listen to your parents. Period
Absolutely stupid generalization. Some parents aren’t ready to be parents. If I did everything my dad told me to do I’d have grown up to be a violent, belligerent racist who thinks it’s morally justified to punch people in the teeth for calling me names
Natural selection at its finest.
The simple belief, that anyone including parents are perfect. Time whats patiently for mistakes.
Why the hell would they walk so far ahead of the kid?
All of the teachers would be so happy lol
Served him right!
Great film 😲
Bro the kid took the batteries right after the dad said not to 🤣💀
Natural selection
This has to be the only child death in cinema that made me feel nothing. It just didn't feel real in any way. You can't explain that kind of stupidity with "he's just a kid." He is just completely devoid of survival instinct.
You've never spent much time around small children, they have no survival instinct at all. The first several years of raising a child involve doing literally everything they can to stop your kid from killing itself. What the child did here was completely normal for small kids. It's the parents who just left that shit there that fucked up.
children ARE completely devoid of survival instinct
My friend, I'm not a parent, but as an older brother to three brothers and sister, I could not have related to this scene more. The terror of the parents, the realization of the sister, and the child's unawareness of the danger something like this could bring In the early years of life, children worry less of the danger of their actions in comparison to their desires
kids die, that is why people had 12-15 kids a 100 years ago, cause 10 of them would die before the age of 7
Yeah, more proof when they were in the car when everything started happening, kid sees people panicking outside and the monsters, bro didn't give one flying fuck

Yeah. That didn't make sense to me either.
The older boy was ill. That’s why they were in the drugstore - to get medicine.
Well, gotta be glass half full here. They still have two smart ones.😂
Damn, I loved him to.
I loved this movie, my mother loved this movie, my father too when we finally managed to convince him to watch. But man, he could not respect the atmosphere of the film, had to keep talking every five minutes til we told him to shut it!
They sure as hell won't repeat that mistake.
Not so long ago, American and Western films in general and horror films in particular excluded violent footage towards children, but we note that not so long ago, horror and violence films have become more focused in their story on showing that why they want to break this rule in Hollywood especially and the West in general
This is a great and scary movie
