  • In most movies children are coddled and protected, so adults are usually sacrificed to protect them so they survive to the end. This scene made the movie real. You foul up, you die. Three innocent mistakes were made by three different people, and it cost the entire family dearly. It told us that no one's effing around.

    @bizzyg5751@bizzyg57517 ай бұрын
    • Agree but I would say there were more than three mistakes. First, the father leaves the batteries in the plain sight, second, adults walk out first and leave kids without supervision, third, the sister gives him the toy (thus showing they can bypass the rules) and again leaves him without supervision, fourth, the child decides to take the batteries, fifth, they leave him walking the last in their formation - all of it was one big mistake, honestly...

      @yevgeniyaleshchenko849@yevgeniyaleshchenko8494 ай бұрын
    • 4 mistakes. Neither of the kids listened to their parents; the girl went against her parent's wishes by giving her brother the toy anyways, and the boy put the batteries in despite being told it's too loud. Meanwhile *both* parents fucked up by not making sure the kids left the toy behind.

      @Thescott16@Thescott163 ай бұрын

    • @@yevgeniyaleshchenko849Regarding the second mistake, I think the parents decided to walk out first to make sure the path is quiet/smooth enough not to catch unnecessary attention.. If by any chance they failed to keep quiet, both adults would be gone in mere seconds since they are strategically placed at the front..

    • @@LeoFINuTube sure. As parent you want to control and limit kid to not let him to get in trouble but you need to let him get used to real world we live in where some danger things exist. You let kid go far if you know (or think) that there is no danger. Sometimes you can be wrong. If you can balance this kid will be ok. But it's not even close to the situation in this movie. In that case you won't ever let kid go anywhere from your eyes, you would put them between you and your wife (I personally often do that in many cases). They still had electricity and running water, indicating that someone was still keeping the facilities providing that stuff operational somehow. The only thing is they just can't make noise and there's a very high likely that anything requiring batteries would make some kind of noise. And then when there is the loud noise of the toy, we feel a sense of panic. I think it also stresses the “survival of the fittest” aspect of the movie. Kids are dumb and he knew better but he was a kid and that unfortunately meant that he didn’t have much of a chance surviving for that long. It also kind of introduces the characters and their personalities just by the way they react to this tragedy. This movie is crazy good dude

  • So Basically this kid's death was everyone's fault. It was the Dad's Fault for leaving the Toy and the Batteries on the Counter. It's the Sisters Fault for giving him back the Toy. It's the Kids fault for taking the Batteries. It's the Mother's fault for not watching her kid better and it's the older brothers fault for getting sick. If he had not been sick, they wouldn't have been there in the first place and he would still be alive. So sad. Poor Judgement.

  • This has to be the only child death in cinema that made me feel nothing. It just didn't feel real in any way. You can't explain that kind of stupidity with "he's just a kid." He is just completely devoid of survival instinct.

    @erichite3398@erichite3398 Жыл бұрын
    • You've never spent much time around small children, they have no survival instinct at all. The first several years of raising a child involve doing literally everything they can to stop your kid from killing itself. What the child did here was completely normal for small kids. It's the parents who just left that shit there that fucked up.

The terror of the parents, the realization of the sister, and the child's unawareness of the danger something like this could bring In the early years of life, children worry less of the danger of their actions in comparison to their desires

  • Not so long ago, American and Western films in general and horror films in particular excluded violent footage towards children, but we note that not so long ago, horror and violence films have become more focused in their story on showing that why they want to break this rule in Hollywood especially and the West in general
