Just in this one scene you see he refuses to take the girls because she's gonna be left alone when they dont allow her in, such a good decision, its realistic he's not trying to play the hero or a "we'll figure it out there" situation, in the whole movie he's just trying to get his family safe but in a way that feels realistic no one does anything extraordinary, just really bad people and some really kind people, good and bad decisions, realistic situations like people partying in the middle of everything, riots, people doing the most to be safe I just feel its what it would actually happen lol

The odds of watching someone "go here or drive off to go there" are even more slim. You won't know who's going to a bunker and who isn't, it'll be mass chaos which will only lead to mass confusion and delirium.

In your normal peaceful life you're shown an apocalyptic event that you can't process as real but it's happening in front of you so it must be. Makes you sick to your stomach and creates dread and hopelessness as you can't believe millions of people were just wiped off the face of the Earth suddenly like nothing. What a masterful scene.

And just last week, a meteorite the size of a fridge crashed in, TWO HOURS after it was discovered. Imagine that; having a party with your love ones and then an hour later, been told an asteroid is hitting the neighborhood.
