As a person who suffers from a fear of flying I’m addicted to programmes like Air Crash Investigations, but having stumbled across these videos I find them very therapeutic. His calmness is very reassuring. I’m sure I’ll be watching more of his videos. Many thanks
100 percent agree
Flying is very safe. Much safer in a plane than a car, that’s for sure!
I am the one scared of flying by love watching flight videos
why do you watch that kind of stuff if you are afraid of flying?
@@dreamthedream8929 Whatcha talking about mister d
He did pretty well considering both engines were on fire before taxi.
Lol... that was the warning system test. But... yes... that is hilarious though how it was all presented. Lol
😂
haaaaaaaa. i know right
I was looking away from the screen when I heard the warnings! I thought WHAT! MAX IS IN TROUBLE 😂
😂😂😂
I’m so astonished by how intricate flying is, not only from an operational standpoint, but for ground control as well… it’s truly incredible how safe flying is considering all the variables
that's the value of creating *systems.* 😎👍
Flight controllers get paid 6 figure salaries and retire in their 50s (because they need to be sharp as a whistle)
Flying is safer than driving
And that's why it's considered safer than driving.
When Max forgot his cookies I felt that on a spiritual level.
2/10 effort comment
I did too 😂😂😂
As someone who hates flying these videos really calms that fear. Just seeing how professional and calm everyone is. And safe the systems really are.
Yeah, the chance of dying by air is super low, something like 1 in 24000 chance on a long haul flight
@@janco333 lmao 1 in 24000 would be crazy! Its more like 1 in 1.2 million
😊😊😊
There’s still always a chance you’ll drop and die which makes it scary
@@wm1573 true but I always remind myself how much more dangerous driving is. And driving tends to bore me.
As an ex pilot I really appreciate your demeanor. Being prepared and remaining calm are keys to being a good pilot. Love your videos.
Thank you Brian! Appreciate it.
Watching your videos gives me goose bumps and actually makes me cry at times because I've had a fear of flying my entire life. I do fly but not often and when I do I have anxiety for a week before leaving and have to take anti-anxiety medication on the flight. It has really limited my ability to see more of the world, which is sad. Seeing you fly with such a calm demeanor seems so courageous and brave to me and I'm sure it must be such an amazing passion. I love your videos.
Have the same fear. I force myself to take trips and just book the flight. I always tell myself there are hundreds of planes that take off in a day in the US and nothing happens to those flights. My flight will be just fine. even during occasional turbulence in which I do freak out, We’ve landed ok. Every single time. Good luck to you, you got this!
I am w you both. I have very bad anxiety w anything to do w flying on a plane. It limits me from going places but I do go down to Florida occasionally. I am a wreck a week before flight and they pretty anxious for return. Sometimes it ruins my trip all together, which is pretty sad as well. I don’t like heights at all which is part of the problem. I take anti anxiety med and it helps a little.
Not to worry guys, turbulence feels scary buts it’s just a natural occurrence, turbulence alone can’t really bring down an aircraft
I used to hate flying ! Hated it would have anxiety a week before flying as well. I literally yelled we gonna all die flying from Africa one time and had to be subdued refused to get on the plane from London to philly. Now I am a travel nurse one night I dreamt that I had such a smooth flight and was so happy and I kid you not the fear went poof just like that it's crazy. Now that I fly more than. Once a month I am used to It. My dad always says your chances of dying in a car crush are higher than flying until working ICU I didn't comprehend. Seeing my MVA patients I am like yep I think driving is worse 😅
And I’m the opposite, I absolutely love flying. My uncle is a pilot, and so is one of my exes, so I’ve gotten to do flight simulations in their training center, which feels so realistic!! I fly often and whenever I’m not in a plane, I miss it. I love the initial ascent into the sky, feels like a rollercoaster to me. I love the turbulence, the bumpier the better! It helps knowing the turbulence is not dangerous to the plane, as long as you are buckled in your seat, you’ll be safe. I’m sorry for people who have anxiety flying, I have a similar anxiety when it comes to choppy waters. I hate being in a small boat in the middle of the ocean, that’s my biggest fear.
All I can say is WOW. Beautiful plane, stunning cockpit, and very safe pilot. Why this video popped up in my suggested videos is anyone’s guess but I loved watching it and I had to subscribe. Thanks Max. .
I really appreciate the no-nonsense professionalism on Max’s flights.
Thank you! Really glad you enjoyed the video.
Same here. No pushing aircraft stuff like headsets and all.
@@ATMAtim Yup.
@@msuspartans5139 Not completely sure but I think you have to be above a certain altitude for you to have time to actually deploy it.
"Damnit! I forgot my cookies!" LOL joking aside, I agree. Great pilot!

😂 same
I thought he was taking off

Thank you for helping animals and asking for donations. They need it ♥️
thanks for sharing your flights, i keep learning so much about coms which to me are the hardest part about flying, im now alot more confident on read backs and dont even have to be class, just listening at your coms and almost calling the same read backs as your doing them is pretty helpful, thanks
Amending the "Before Boarding Checklist" to include: In-Flight Cookies procured and in Pilot's possession..... Check!
Not a cookie that I like better than chocolate chip. So at least two things we have in common, Citation private jets and the chocolate chip cookies. Buddy how's the top of your head? One turbulence yanked you right out of your seat brother, but as I always say you're as cool as the other side of the pillow. Thanks Max talk to you soon, still exploring getting to OSH KOSH to meet you. George.
thick n chewey ''cake'' cookies... I am working on a peanut butter snickerdoodle that is thich n chewy, BUT... I would have had to seriously look at ''snacks available'' before I would RULE OUT ''CIRCLE BACK ARUND.... and restart'' ;)
You know he could save a fortune if he just bought those cookies in the grocery store instead. Expensive way to get some darned cookies.
@@shreddder999 The cookies are free. FBO’s have free snacks and coffee for the pilots.
@@Hamsalad2 Yes.... If you buy a corporate jet and fuel it up or pay the handling fee at the FBO.
Denver as a whole is challenging territory to navigate, this guy was flying the airplane alone as if he was driving a car on I-101 . Amazing 👍
I can remember the number of times I was in the right seat and you’re staring straight into the clouds and even though you know that you are safe there’s just something about not being able to see in front of you that is terrifying
Same for me. Also, having nothing (solid) underneath the plane makes me have a fear reaction.
That was so much fun Max!! 😁👏✈ Thanks for being the pilot & let us come along for the ride. You are an excellent pilot man 😜
Thank you for taking us along for the ride. My father flew for pleasure. Your ride along reminds me of magic times we had, in and out of little airports when I was growing up. One of the most precious things I found when I was cleaning out his office after his death, was his flight logs going back to before I was born.
Thanks for watching David. I’m so sorry to hear about your father. Take care and be well
Hats off to ya, don't know how you pilots do it, even as a passenger and we hit turbulence I'm in praying mode. Your a hell of a pilot
I dint think any plane has been taken down due to turbulence. I've literally hit my head on the overhead bin with people vomiting in bags. Terrifying event to say the least.
@@jakobfolmar6604 wow never hit turbulence that bad
Samaa- I’m I pilot. Like anything, training and practice are the key. I’ve been in severe turbulence in a piston single in heavy rain. It’s scary and you have to stick to the training and work your way through it
@@hock8379 God bless you pilots, not an easy job
Great video! Excellent example of the workload for a single pilot in more challenging landing conditions in very busy airspace. The thought of a single pilot commercial flight is insane to me. Great work, Max.
I watch alot of Airlines handling crew - Cabin and flight deck. Here i come to the conclusion that everything is more "compressed" and concentrated in terms of aviating the bird. I love watching that rapid take off that rockets out and this dude appears so routined, passionate & professional. Complete different flying and is real fun to watch!
Great piloting, clearly a result of great training, nice flight. Your focus and attention on flying the aircraft are exceptional.
Those are the cutest little air brakes ever!!!!! Wanted to be a pilot but health reasons wouldn’t let me so I live my dreams vicariously through amazing videos like this.
Good flight ✈️ Have experienced really worse turbulence on big jets . So nice to watch pilots maintaining their cool at all times . Also tells me that there’s constant communications between pilots and towers all through out the flight . Pilots are one of my greatest idols .
30+ years as ATC @ ZNY, ZDC, ZMA, ZAU, ERI, PBI, RSW and I never tire of these piloting videos. Thanks to all those professional pilots that gave me a cockpit ride over the years! I learned a tremendous amount during those flight hours for sure. Made me a better controller and a better instructor to the young folks coming up. I always wanted to fly myself, but other than a few private pilot hours, life seemed to always get in the damn way! 58 Now, but a man can dream!
Crazy amounts of detail that goes into flying amazes me. Humans aren’t so bad
Wait till you find politics
@@litmusaero2645 those aren’t humans their insects
The % of humans who contributed to this is insignificantly small, humans in general are bad.
@@Xarriable maybe they are inherently bad in America but here in Eastern Europe people are actually inherently good and kind. Try visiting Russia or an ex satellite state, very welcoming people.
@@jimmygt7020 lol... yeah Russia is amazing when it’s waging war on Ukraine or destroying Syrians who oppose Assad, just to expand military presence in the world with a port in the Mediterranean.
As always, such great situational awareness and professionalism. Is always a pleasure watching you fly single pilot, Max! Awesome
I want to be like Max

It's so nice to watch something like this completed so successfully. It's like the best therapy in the world.
Just found your channel by accident. I love aviation but know zero about flying, so being in the cockpit with you and hearing the radio chatter is brilliant. I loved all the high quality camera angles, too. Your channel is awesome. Subscribed! Thanks for the fun.
Thank you very much. Welcome to my channel.
I know zero about aviation as well that's why when he communicates with the air traffic controllers or whatever. it's like they are speaking in another language to me.
@@mistakook1616 Right? I love to view any endeavor being done at a high level of expertise. I am drawn in instantly. 🙂
I can’t stop watching these. I want him to me my pilot. So professional yet personable and great character.
I know right!!?
You want to hear professional pilots watch the video about Alaska Flight 261 and listen to how calm the pilots flying the plane inverted and other pilots observing describing it. I was in Channel Island Harbor at my father's house when it happened although I didn't see any of it. Pilots, man they are trained well usually from the military and nothing even makes their voices crackle..they are titanium....
Facts!
@@Ultramanishere1 professional pilots rarely come from the military anymore. This has been true for 25 years.
I have a huge fear of flying but watching this, seeing the calm and level of detail that goes into flying through turbulence, I find oddly comforting. Great content.
Nicely done, that was some serious turbulence. God is with and for you for sure. Continue sharing I am learning a lot.
Always enjoy your videos Max! I'm always surprised at how much effect the speed brakes have when they look so small!
love your vids fascinated. Also, you come across as a grounded and down to earth guy. I have worked in airports and found so many pilots arrogant self-opinionated and love themselves. Don't change buddy and thanks for sharing.
I hate flying. But seeing all of this from your point of view, even through the turbulence, makes me a bit more relaxed. You are so calm!
This came up on my feed. Absolutely brilliant! Loved all the cockpit viewings and listening to ATC etc! Subscribed!!
Thank you!
Holy cow it's sporty coming over those mountains, but you handled it like a champ! That's crazy when you can hear things rattling and banging in the back of the plane. As always thank you so much for bringing me along with you and until next time take care brother. 😁
Thanks so much Kevin! Appreciate your longtime support and kindness. Take care and have a wonderful summer!
Love your videos Max! I’m always amazed at how well you manage all aspects of a flight, especially when you have a lot going on.
Thanks Shawn! Appreciate you watching.
Wow!! You were tossed around up there!! If I were a passenger I'd be freaking out!! Very very nice. Please keep coming out with more vlogs!!
Really interesting to hear the air traffic controller directing the planes and keeping them all on track. Flying terrifies me but I am oddly attracted to videos like this and watching takeoffs and landings.
Now go and watch aircraft crash investigations
Max that felt like a really challenging flight. I was thinking just get that bird on the ground.Worse bit of all was forgetting the cookies 🍪! 😂 Good job mate!
It always amazes me how one company can create such insane amount of different products. I've been using Garmin fish finders for a couple years now and the technology is amazing. Then to see a video about this and see the crazy high tech GPS screens on a jet like this. Wild
Beautiful views over Southern California. At 11:22 you crossed over the San Andreas fault, and you caught a perfect end-on view of it out your window. And at 22:44 you crossed the front range fault in Colorado on your way into Denver. Very nice.

Nice View and so Lucky also for your plane. Thank you so much for this video you did it right. Congratulations 🥂🥂🥂
Another great video Max! Thanks for sharing these amazing experiences with us!
This gave me a flashback to the first time I flew in '69. It was a beautiful spring day when we took off, but halfway to our destination, we flew straight into a bad thunderstorm. The plane went dark and the turbulence was horrifying. I've flown a few times since then, but could never relax enough to enjoy it. However, flying into NYC was thrilling! Watching this I got dizzy and nauseated, but you did a great job!
PTSD almost!
Well in 69 i would be shitting my pants, they hadnt worked all the bugs out of flying yet
@@Conwayy33 I bet!
@@vicvega3614 I practically did!

Wow, serious turbulence on that flight Max. Awesome landing !!!! Sun visor was definitely a distraction you didn’t need at that point, ugh. Stay safe 🤙
I just found you today, and I love your ATC chatter. I'm a simmer who is dipping his toes into VATSIM, and listening to real world ATC chatter really helps me get used to the flow.
great smooth landing. you handled the turbulence like a boss!
Where was the storm and turbulence
Did some GIS work up in the Denver area about a year ago. Stayed the night in centennial parked at tacair. Really well put together FBO with great service
As someone who is terrified of flying, that sure does look beautiful.
Yeah, because you're in the comfort of your own home vs in the plane.
Just curious if these types of videos help your anxiety at all? It seems like it would help somehow.
With your luck your crash in that plane

21:00 "moderate turbulence" (Max almost hits his head on the ceiling)
😂🤣
Lol it is moderate. Aircraft was in positive control at all times, and he felt a definite strain against his seatbelt. That’s pretty much the definition 😆
He wouldn't even fly beyond moderate
I had the exact same thought!
" Moderate turbulence consists of changes in your altitude or attitude, but your aircraft remains in positive control at all times. You'll feel a definite strain against you seat belt or shoulder straps. And if you have unsecured objects in the cabin, they'll become dislodged. "
Great flight Awesome landing smooth even in thunderstorms!!!!
That was amazing.. thank you. I have never seen something like this before. Soooo cool thx
Hi Max. When I flew for NetJets, I was based in BDL which was great as I live in CT. That said, I would always begin my week begging the scheduler to send me west. It was so much better flying out west versus what we called the ‘Northeast Shuffle’. Out west, it was fewer flights, longer legs, and new, cool things to see. Now, I miss it all though, and I would very much enjoy a day with a modern jet doing the ‘Northeast Shuffle’. Something like IAD > ACK > BOS > TEB (pick up my Rudy’s chix burrito from the fridge), and end the day with a flight to CYYG.
Gotta love ending in Toronto...Buffalo girl 🙂
Hi, I'm new to your channel, thanks for all the amazing videos. I have been doing a lot of flight sims, but watching the incredible footage from your channel and some others makes me want to start going for my pilot's license here on Long Island. Thanks again
Incredible skill sets for such a young man. Impressive.
Loved this. I fly almost every week and still have a hard time understanding the physics of flying and how planes staying the air, especially with turbulence. It's the only time I have a little anxiety when in the air Taking off or hitting turbulence. Thank you!
I LOVE FLYING WITH PASSION, EQUALLY I HATE TURBULENCE WITH THE SAME PASSION.

Thanks, this was so relaxing and informative. The scary thing is that there are many parts of the video when I didn't know whether I was looking at Flight Simulator 2020, or real life. That just shows how amazing the sim is. Citation CJ4 rules the skies!
Great landing Max, well done !

Hahaha... I laughed out loud at that moment that you realised that you had left your cookies behind! You seemed so genuinely disappointed 😥 another fun video, thanks Max!
All aircraft should have a LOCEW indicator installed. (Low Cookie Emergency Warning).
Retired Canadian ATPL...love your video! I find the USA is much different from Canadian aviation. We fly even King Air A100s or 200s etc with 2 crew. When PA 31-350 Navajo Chieftains were still plentiful up here 20 years ago, most of them were flown 2 crew as well. I flew one PA 31-350 SPIFR but never really felt comfortable. I prefer the 2 crew environment, but I am an old school pilot, who learned on a sextant and an full procedure ADF approach was considered a precision lol. Fly safe!
This dude is a true professional. One of the best videos like this I have ever seen. Wow!
Damn good pilot!!! Best landing yet. Denver is notorious for having very bad weather conditions and this landing is by far the best!!
Enjoyed the video. It’s interesting to me that even in a Citation, you have to deal with the same weather and same ATC that I do in my little 2 place light sport. Keep it up.
The Citation still weighs less than 10,000lbs, it's seriously light. I fly alot in Challengers, up to 48,000 mtow, and even they get blown around pretty hard sometimes. Fast, tiny planes can have some rough rides
When a pilot say “Whoa!” you know shit is crazy!!
as a pilot of a light sports aircraft I feel with you. I have this all the time when the sun burns down and heats the air on lower levels
Thanks for the ride, I love your Citation.
way to ride the bumps and keep flying my guy - i'll see you on twitch!
3:34 It all started going downhill from here haha. Amazing flying though man, I really admire your SRM fluidity!! I can honestly say that watching your videos and piloting skills inspire me to work harder in my current flight training!
That’s awesome to hear Austin! Thanks for watching dude! Good luck with your flight training.
Thank you for letting me fly with you!! Sweet landing!
