    • will he be remembered as a player that reached a record points total - more likely to be remembered as the player that gifted SA 3 points by his childish behaviour, ran the kick clock down, poor discipline record, and quick with the sour grapes and other reasons why it was never his fault. A legend in his own mind only IMO.

    • Lol I'ma bok through and through.. The boks are the Manchester United of world rugby in that they almost make it hard for themselves.. So the win is that much sweeter at the end.. Eventually figuring out how the play needs to adjust to win the game/conditions/occasion (obviously United aren't at the top of the world anymore but there's a spirit that is within both dynasties that just never says die) and staying humble is another trait I've noticed the best is a feature in great teams.. Together with supreme confidence

Then when they got there the ball simply flew towards the post and over the line - try scored. Dismal shock and disbelief on the English faces. It all happened so quickly and unexpectedly. Truly shocking. Just as the Irish felt when Mo'unga burst throw the line and sent his winger over to score. They were shell-shocked.

I stopped playing twenty five years ago😩 But by most accounts, he’s a decent guy as almost all rugby players are. I don’t speak Afrikaans so I have no idea whether Mr. Curry was racially-abused or not. But I’m sufficiently ‘rugby’ to hope that Mr. Mbonambi and Mr. Curry had a couple o’ cold beers together after the match. If not, then that would be a pity. The ONLY time I’ve been ashamed of my national side - victory or defeat - was in the year 2000: we lost to Scotland at Murrayfield. Only Jason Leonard and two or three others clapped their opponents off the field. I was watching the match with Scottish supporters and that lack of sportsmanship hurt WAY more than losing. • I said to my wife during the game when we were 6-15 down with 14 odd minutes to play, us South Africans don't take lying down and admitting defeat very well. At the time, neither of us knew if the Boks would be able to overturn the deficit. But overcome it they did, because THEY knew, even if we didn't. And that's why they are world champs. Because they never stop believing.

  • Loved this match and IMO the closest the Springboks were pushed in the whole tournament. Not every game needs to have pretty tries, sometimes a tough defensive clash is just as gripping.

    • Oh yeah? Cmon then big mouth? Provide examples? Just because YOU feel that way don't interject a whole consensus onto everybody else? I think you'll find Leroux was the one who was acting dispiccably at the end. England provided a victory tunnel for SA? So shut up fraggle and go live your unhappy life elsewhere in another YT comment section. This one's mine! Trigger g you dirty filthy SA and your unpleasant personalities.
