Captain America: Civil War, rounding out the Captain America trilogy on just about the strongest note possible. There's very little wrong with this film. Which makes my job fun. Here's everything right with Captain America Civil War. Next week a whole new saga of wins will begin.

I was hoping it'd be 3x.
I thought the 2nd one stopped by his glasses hence the black eye he has for the rest of the movie
“I don’t care. He killed my mom.” That hit me hard. He never ever has mentioned his mom when he talks about his parents. He brings up his dad but never his mom. I felt like THAT emotional barrier he has not come to terms because he loved her unconditionally while him and his dad had some bitter moments. Honestly at that point I knew Tony was going to do whatever he can to avenge his mom’s death. Logic and reason be damned, he killed his mom. Powerful stuff. Remember this is a comic book movie. Jeez.
As someone who is a mamas boy. Even if the man responsible for the death was my friend or one of my friends buddy. I'd do the same thing as Tony. You killed my mother. There is no excuse. And I will never forgive you. God this movie this film has some of the best dialogue and scenes I don't care what anyone says.
@@yoshijb9428 i understand having an initial freak out like Tony but i think being not in control at all of your actions is an excellent excuse. Hydra (specifically who ever gave that order) is to blame, the winter soilder is just the weapon they used to do it.
@@-s-henderson-7333 exactly. Although it didn't help for Hydra to no longer be present for tony to aim his anger at. Bucky was the only one left although his mom def got the easier side of the stick than Howard's savage beat down

Michael Rivers Zemo is in my top 3 favorite MCU Villains. He's the most relatable on a bunch of different levels. He has no powers, he's not a God, he's an ordinary soldier, he's not a robot, etc. He's almost a more relatable version of the Joker. A man who just came out of nowhere, that could almost be anyone.
In an interview I think Mackie said the rivalry between Falcon and Soldier is because Bucky destroyed his car in Winter Soldier. I know character motivation offscreen is usually a sin, but I thought the pettiness deserved a win.

@@wingedbluj1674 I love how this was repeated in TFATWS

The Line that Spider-Man gives when he says "When you can do the things I do, but you don't, and *THEN* the bad things happen, they happen because of you." Should be a win since it shows that Uncle Ben has been dead for a while and it was because Peter didn't stop the robber beforehand. And he still feels responsible.
Ya Boy Guzma right. Even if he isn’t directly referenced, his presence is still there
100th like ik it doesn't matter but it feels goos :)
Kind of ironic he's supporting Tony Stark since the Accords conflict with those ideals. Of course I believe Tony is manipulating him a bit by not giving him the full details. Simply "He wrong but thinks he's right so that makes him dangerous" as Spider-Man told Captain America in their fight.
It's implied that it hasn't been long. Uncle Ben probably died only a few months before Civil War. Peter says something along the lines of "I don't want to give Aunt May any more to worry about right now" in Homecoming. The loss of Ben is still fresh.
sure, but couldn't it be easier to say what ben would want don't get me wrong I do not want to loose tom holland EVER. But the way the mcu sees characters like aunt may compared to the comics is just not as natural.
When Captain America admits to knowing that Bucky killed Tony’s parents, you can even see the glisten of tears in his eyes, from the guilt he feels for not telling him. Amazing acting
No, no. He didn't know it was Bucky. He says as much. But he knew it wasn't an accident, he knew it was Hydra
@@Ikajo But he suspected it might have been Bucky. That's made clear in the scene in the Winter Soldier. Zemo only confirmed it.
@@sara-vf5xz Suspected wasn't knowing. And Steve wasn't the only one who knew. Natasha did as well and she never said anything either.
I really think that Chris should've gotten an oscar or something for his performance as Captain America. The character is an extremely difficult role to play and is very complicated and complex; on paper Captain America is probably a character I wouldn't have liked that much because he seemed so self-righteous but Chris's performance seemed so natural and it gave the character a lot of depth. Plus the fact that he is nothing like the character really speaks volume to his acting performance. I'm not trying to diss anyone but for mcu actors like RDJ who play a character like Iron Man who they are actually really similar to, it's easy for them. But when it comes to a character like Captain America who doesn't even seem human and no one could be similar to him because of how perfect he is, it's difficult to play that kind of role yet Chris did it amazingly. All the actors in mcu are amazing and they all deserve awards for their performances but Chris definitely deserves it more than most.
@@mish2637 Agreed! Chris Evans' acting and the Russos' direction really made Capt America one of the best/popular superheroes in the MCU. It was so well done.
One of my favourite lines in the MCU is "I don't care, he killed my mom." Why? Because we know all about his relationship with his dad, we've been hearing about it since day one. All we've seen of his mum is her talking to him at the beginning in a hologram, but that one line tells you everything. It's not "my parents", it's not "my mum and dad". It's his mum, who was probably the only one (bar Pepper) who genuinely supported him without ulterior motive when he was growing up. Just... Urgh.... Gets me every time.
Olivia McDonagh rhodey...?????
@@Ella-it3qm To be fair, we don't know when mcu rhodey and tony first became friends, it could have been before or after tony began working with the military as it's go to high end arms dealer, but either way the films never tells us. However in the first iron man film when tony has the revelation that weapons kill "good guys" to and he decides no more stark tech weapons for anyone, the first thing rhodey does is scold him over the decision and basically says get your head in the game. So while rhodey is 100% team tony now, he wasn't always firmly in tony's corner.
C Bowman if I’m remembering correctly, they became friends at MIT, which was before Pepper. And I don’t remember rhodey acting like that in im1, but while we are on the topic of scolding him for his decision, Pepper did worse and abandoned him when he tried to build another suit. Which she did again in im3 when his anxiety was revealed
@Laurens Brettschneider imo it's hard to think of someone who just figured out their parents were murdered in cold blood (instead of a car accident, as he had believed for decades) and is facing off with that exact killer (whether he was brainwashed or not) as "bratty"... tony isn't reacting like a spoiled child being told he can't have what he wants. he's literally just reacting with the gut instinct of a child to hurt the person who killed his beloved mother. rather than labelling it bratty, i'd say his reaction/wording was completely understandable.
@Laurens Brettschneider You know what else isn't appropriate, not telling your friend how his parents really died for 2 years. And even then he still wasn't the one who told Tony.
Why the hell is the line “He’s my friend.” “So was I.” Not like five wins
Because it hurts to hear him say it!
Because they weren’t really friends?
TevesGaming They were ABSOLUTELY friends. Friends don’t always have to be on the same page. Two different paths to the same goal still achieves that goal. But there was an affection that Tony and Steve had for each other. Their differences were philosophical, but that doesn’t mean that they didn’t care about each other. You saw that in, literally, every subsequent film. Particularly Endgame. These two men genuinely cared about what the other one thought.

Jarvis grew a spine. Just like tony told him to.
I honestly like Friday she has the best line " you can't beat in hand to hand combat"
Man, Jarvis was so great in the Agent Carter show.
He really deserved a credit in Endgame with the rest…
This movie did what I thought was impossible. It completely surpassed Winter Soldier. I can't think of any higher recommendation than that.
All Cap movies have been pretty good. Can't say the same for the other individual movies.
idk ....the winter solider is perfect for me .....so civil war is a 2nd
Cap's the only character so far with a consistently good trilogy. The Iron Man sequels weren't that good, neither of the Thor movies were that impressive.
+Goulactic X I agree. Winter Soldier's spy espionage change of pace from the rest of the MCU for me makes it marvels best movie.
daley610 almost on the same level of The dark knight and im not joking
I think a lot of people overlooked the line 'I don't care, he killed my mom'. Even after his dad says that tony was his greatest creation it still shows the amount of distance between them
Damn, i almost forgot that, thanks for that good of a explanation!
Moms mean a lot to superheroes, just ask Batman. Yes, that’s a Martha joke.
Sort of. Tony knows his father was killed because of what he was involved in. His mother was innocent.
@@Lodogg WHY DO YOU SAY THAT NAME!?
The emotion in his voice when he said that, sounded like a scared grieving child to me. Great line read
I'm disappointed you didn't win Bucky's panic at seeing the book. He knew what was gonna happen when he saw it. And he tried to fight it. Sebastian Stan really nails it.
Sebastian Stan is an extremely underrated actor.
Sebastian Stan is one of the best actors of this decade. Especially in the falcon and the winter soldier wakandan scene
Having recently watched the film again, I noticed something about the scene where the Winter soldier kills Tony's parents: as he picks up Howard Stark, Howard says "Sergeant Barnes?" which really changed the scene for me. The idea that someone else recognized Bucky who would be considered an old friend right before they got brutally killed was both a tragic betrayal and upsetting that Bucky didn't even realise it was Howard due to age so it didn't make any difference to the Winter soldier. That scene hits differently now
Not necessarily Bc remember Bucky didn't know Howard that well at all. Steve and Howard worked much more closely together. Bc notice Howard said "sergeant Barnes"? And not "Bucky?" His friends called him Bucky.
@@megmur1766 Also, Bucky didn't even remember who HE was, due to his brainwashing. Remember how close he came to killing Steve in Winter Soldier? The lights were on, but 'Bucky' definitely wasn't home. The Winter Soldier didn't know, or care, who either of them were. It's impossible to imagine what it would be like to remember actions that you had no control over at the time. As you said, Bucky wasn't particularly close to Howard during the war, but the memory of killing someone you knew, and seeing the pain you unwillingly caused their family, has to be immensely painful. The worst part is that the people who were actually responsible, the ones who gave the order to kill Howard and take the serum, probably got away with it all.
@@laxxla yeah I think that's what screwed Bucky in the end. He was the last one left that tony could aim at.
@@laxxla the dude who have Bucky the order to kill Howard and Maria was killed by Zemo at the start of the movie
@@fedeeeeee Yes, but he was only a handler, and still following someone else's orders, too. He just did it willingly, unlike Bucky. An order like that probably came from pretty high up, especially as the Winter Soldier wasn't used for just any mission. We don't know if Pierce was in charge at this point, or if someone else gave that order. Which means that they may well have gotten away with it, and retired to live out the rest of their days in luxury. They may even have been one/some of the people on Bucky's list in FATWS, but since that was dealt with offscreen (ugh, don't get me started on THAT) we'll probably never know.
Civil War is vital to the Infinity Saga. If Thanos faced Iron Man and Captain America united, with everyone at their backs, he wouldn't have stood a chance. But because they were so broken, it was easy for Thanos to pick them apart and take on smaller groups. Anyone that stands by the 'Civil War didn't matter' argument is objectively wrong.
Gonna show this to my bf because he thinks civil war was a useless movie 🤡
100th like!
No,he would, because thanos would have had 4 stones before facing the avengers, making him unstoppable, the only changes is tony calls cap in new york, meaning they never go to titan, they all go to wakanda, take out the mind stone safely so that wanda can destroy it,BUT meanwhile Thanos already has the space, power, soul and reality stones, making him unstoppable, meaning despite him not getting all stones,he would kill all the avengers in wakanda, every last one of them, conquer earth, kill half of its population and continuing to doing that to every planet, meaning Zemo saved the universe from Thanos without knowing or Strange can give the time stone to thanos in enxchange to spare the ones that are alive, allowing him to get the mind stone and snap, the problem is that way more people would have died, making Endgame fate not a sure thing for the avengers to win
So civil war is crucial because it allowed the avengers to win in endgame
@@alphagamer9505 Alternately, Tony calls cap into new york, which he was plausibly in greater proximity to, and the team rolls in there, successfully beating Ebony Maw and Black Dwarf before hijacking their ship with the whole team in tow, including vision. Some techno-babble from Tony and Peter later for how they hijacked the ship, they're able to set up a better plan than the one that almost beat Thanos in the real sequence of events, and actually do beat him because of it, especially because Thor would still show up, but at wherever the trap was, the army doesn't go to earth since Vision was in space, and there are plenty of people to put Star Lord into a full nelson while people pull the gauntlet off of Thanos' hand. :D
I'd like to add on another win here if I may, that someone on tumblr pointed out! When Spiderman catches Bucky's metal arm, you'll notice his eyes widen, and he actually lets Peter speak rather than counter attack. In the MCU, where literally anything can catch Bucky's arm, that's not what he's surprised by; he's shocked that Peter is just a kid. He's never seen Pete's face, and this is the first time he's heard his voice. It may look like he's just standing there to wait for Falcon to come in, but in reality he's pausing for a moment to take account of the fact he's fighting an actual kid, a kid who should be in school and be doing his homework, not dealing in grown-up stuff like this. Bucky's always been one to stand up for the little guy, and now he's fighting the little guy.
Row Vine that’s actually really cool, never thought of that

"Is it so hard to imagine that he had multiple plans and back up plans?" finally, someone gets it. I mean, the guy spent an entire year studying the avengers, he has plenty of time to plan things out.
I honestly don't understand why people cannot understand that...

Tony should have known his parents were killed from the massive data dump in Winter Soldier. That's how cap found out. General Ross shouldn't be lecturing anyone on civilian casualties since he shot up a university and took out half of Harlem with the Abomination. Plus all the other damage he created trying to capture Banner.
Cap found out from Zola. And Zola really only hinted at it. "History can be changed." Something like that.
But that's General Ross for ya. A power hungry man who is a hypocrite.
Ross didn't have anything to do with Abomination. It was Blonsky's own choice to go rogue and become Abomination, because he was power hungry.

3:45 I believe that the accords/oversight would actually increase the escalation of villainy. Villains would take advantage of how the avengers would be severely restricted in when and where they could respond. I'm team cap on this one
And every organization has an agenda
take the looks on the events they use for the accords. if they had their way New york would be a radioactive wasteland. millions killed, and major trade up destroyed affecting all the world's economy. so the Avengers damage is far less and thus the lesser evil. the Hekicarriers. we know they released all the sheild files. and what they said those ships launch and 20 million people are dead. msot who actually die are hydra agents and the damaged limited to the sheilds location. so again lesser evil. Sokovia is their only defense and even there it's not the Avengers fault but TONY'S maybe the worlds sicne they failed to capture all hydra agents. the Wanda incedent. they are goign aftger another hydra agent and they think bank robbery but turns out it's him going after a bio weapon. and her move only 14 die were if on the ground at least 100 are dead, maybe more if she wasn't there. also the accords can not stand legal muster. what we know of them vioaltes at least one US constutional right and vioaltes a couple UN human rights so it has no standing.
I totally disagree. If the Avengers aren't as omnipresent anymore, the incentive to measure up to them and try to beat them would go immensely. So while the world might not have fewer villains in total, it would definitely have fewer "supervillains" who try to match the Avengers in power level.

Vision doesn't always agree, but he and ultron can somewhat understand each other, and now he is really, really really really subtly continuing Ultron's effect on them all: whether it be tony's conscious, or the battle in sokovia, or the whole point of Ultron being bad, It shows how he has just as much affect on the MCU as Loki, or thanos, or any other villain, even though I hear him get thrown under the bus in favor of other characters. Super cool
Am i the only one who laughed when he called wanda pushing vision down the floor flirting?🤣🤣🤔
I was literally so confused
Surprisingly enough, one of my favourite characters in this film was Rhodey. I loved how he came to the conclusion they should stick to the accords because he's a normal guy who wants to trust massive organisations like the UN, he doesn't see himself as above them. And I also love how he was the main casualty in the fight, giving it all a human layer and a unique perspective that the superhumans/billionaire geniuses didn't have.
I think you mean genius billionaire playboy philanthropists
everyone say thank you rhodey
you definitely know he was not a casualty and was healed by Wakandan doctors, yes?
The fall is a great scene especially in theaters. He’s hit and as soon as he says “I’m dead stick” he realizes it. He can’t eject, there’s no equipment so he can’t time the fall or land “correctly” (as correctly as you can at height) and you only hear the wind through the eyeholes.
but that is a stupid stance form asoilder. he knows first hand how useless the UN is.
I didn't notice this until I saw it in this but when cap swings down on iron man, tony covers his face meaning he thinks that cap would kill him which shows how much he distrusts him now
14:22
Good eye!
wow i didn't consider that, nice one dude
Woah that's crazy
ya I thought he would kill him too. all 3 times I seen it
Both RDJ and Chris Evans deserve oscars. I honestly can’t believe they don’t have at least ten each by now.
"You can never trust Emily Thorne," hits a lot different after Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
When Tony jerks towards Bucky right after finding out the truth about his parents, if you watch closely as Bucky steps back and brings up his gun, (15:59), you can truly see the pain in his eyes as it really hits him that the horrendous actions of the Winter Soldier are, in part, his actions. You can see the weight of this burden fall on him as he, most likely for the first time, begins to realize the pain he has caused Tony and so many others, a burden he will perhaps carry with him for the rest of his life. This moment, as short as it may be, is absolutely incredible and a real display of Stan's talent. That split-second alone is worthy of a win.
Olivia Rose Sebastian Stan is especially great in this movie overall. You can really feel the torment that he has, and how it weighs upon him. You can really feel how much remorse he has, and how he’s frightened. He embodies Bucky’s character perfectly.
I couldn't agree more!
Yup
ENDGAME SPOILER⤵ I thought this when i noticed how sad he was a Tony's funeral in Endgame. He never apologized to Tony, who just saved the universe.
Zaya Moone Ouch...my heart. 😭
You missed a win, when Bucky took the motorcycle he had to hold the clutch so that it wouldn’t stall.
Well spotted! Do you know what the Tom & Jerry reference was?
@@JobiWan144 I wanna know that too
“Aah, finally! Somebody who speaks English.”
Fun fact about the tunnel chase sequence: That's almost all practical effects. They really are running in that tunnel, on strips of material being dragged behind some of the cars which allows them to literally run faster than the traffic. And the scene where Bucky catches the bike and mounts it was also practical. :D
@@AndaraBledin that's so amazing! Do you know if there are behind the scenes videos for them? I've looked but had no luck
The reasoning for the two arguments makes sense when you consider the wars Tony and Cap remember. Tony might just about remember Vietnam and was present in Afganistan. So he thinks a civilian casualty is avoidable. Cap saw and lived through WW2 and the devistation that wrought on Europe. He knows you can't save everyone. Just some thoughts there!
The moment where Steve & Sharon snog is just great for the reactions of Bucky & Sam in that they represent his past and present. Also the fact that in real life all 3 are a tight unit.
The one thing Old friends and new friends can agree on is their mutual friend is the man when he can get a five second open mouth kiss pre combatZ
Still the best movie I've seen this year.
Which isn't saying much
What do you want him to say, "I love BvS" or "SS was great". It's his opinion.
Definitely
There were some pretty good movies this year, Nero, that weren't comic book movies. That was Iconium's point.
100% agreed.
This vid is the exact opposite of the Sin one - I'm surprised you guys don't do pair ups and argue with eachother for fun :p
dbzmaster1213 them being opposite I kinda the point
yes - I was just mentioning that as a lead-in to the rest of my comment
I guess there's going to bound to be some personal opinions leaking in on which one you liked more. If you had issues with Civil War then you'll likely be more fond of Cinema Sins but those who really dug it will more enjoy Cinema Wins. So I guess that means I'm obviously more on the later but yeah I really loved Captain America 3 and much prefer this video as honestly felt like Cinema Sins and heck even honest trailers were desparately looking at things to nitpick to go "okay I know DC fans think we're Marvel Fan boys for hating on BvS and other things but hey look we can do the same to Marvel movies" except their points just feeling forced. Hell Cinema Wins pretty much broke down why Zemo's plan not only ins't overly convoluted but really works for the movie and isn't just concidence after concidience like others tried to say it is.
Yeah just imagine cinemasins roasting him while he is just saying how cinemasin's voice is amazing.
You know how CinemaSins did a CinemaSins on CinemaSins, CinemaSins should do a CinemaSins on CinemaWins while CinemaWins does a CinemaWins on CinemaSins. Try saying this 10X fast.
He was right Chadwick Boseman is the best person to play the Black Panther and i dont think anyone else can play Black Panther as good as Chadwick Boseman. R.I.P Chadwick.
I think you mean Chadwick Boseman WAS the best person to play the Black Panther.
G C why the fuck
“Can we just give these two guys Oscars already?” Well RDJ was given the chance to win one, but he denied it Chris just hasn’t been given one yet
Sebastian Stan needs an Oscar
"Because that's Robert Downey Jr and Tony Stark, and Iron Man". And Sherlock Holmes.
And now, dr doolittle
And Charlie Chaplin
Yh and the guy who faced a dragon also solves murders with a the dragon, who is also a wizard, who is also a detective, who is also a docter.
And the best snaper
And Tony Stank
It's a shame you didn't win the "My father made that shield." Line where Cap acknowledges that and leaves the shield.
he picked it up for bucky, saving him has always been his mission, and once he achieved that, he didn't need the shield anymore. a really goose bump giving moment in the movie.
purple fynn I'm not sure I understand what you mean by he picked it up for Bucky. He picked it up out of habit because he's Captain America. His being Cap has nothing to do with Bucky.
Hungry Hungry Hobo Steve deserves all the praise in the world for that scene honestly
ViaVia didn’t he sort of just beat a traumatized man into a pulp and was planning to leave him for the dead lol
No, he was protecting himself and his best friend from a guy in armored suit that tried to kill said friend. You know who was the villain in this scene? Tony. He attacked to kill, while Steve and Bucky wanted to disarm him. And by doing so proved what a hypocrite he was all along, being pro accords and crying that 'vigilanty is bad' and 'superheroes need to be held responsieble for their actions' just to ignore it and try to kill a guy that killed his parents. Has he a right to be angry - yes, but attacking a man that was brainwashed into being a human waepon and should not even be considered a murderer ('cos he had no choice or agency one can argue that Bucky should be considered innocent).
I can't be the only one who laughed so hard at "look at this cute little guy he won my hea- oh, now he's killing people"
I just love Bucky’s surprise when Spider-Man catches his arm like it’s nothing
Am I the only one who noticed the utter desperation in Tony's assistant's voice? When she says, "You can't beat him hand to hand!" I get chills, every time. It's like F.R.I.D.A.Y.'s tone of voice reflect's the character's emotions.... I don't know, it's just something I noticed.
Tyler Hepburn yep, true!!!
V-Rex it is his A.I which is also his assistant
F.R.I.D.A.Y. should have just done the "Analyze his attacks" bit from the start. He can totally counter Cap that way. And does. Why he didn't do it earlier is another story.
Tony wasn't entirely prepared to kill Cap at first. It was only when Cap REALLY started hurting him that Tony realised it was all or nothing to avenge his parents. In short, Tony made the decision too late to be of any help in the final seconds. To avoid being one-sided, I think both characters match each other. Sure, Iron Man has a fancy suit with lots of gadgets, but aside from being smarter and stronger than your average man, he relies on his suit very much in fights. Cap on the other hand is extremely powerful and doesn't rely on the suit or suchlike - its more or less his ideology that can bring him down (he nearly died to Bucky in the final fight in TWS because he refused to kill his friend; unlike Tony in this situation, he wasn't really prepared to kill, at least not until something terrible happened to Bucky).
Mr-Earwig yeah... Tony really didn't want to kill cap. I don't even know, whether he ever chose to go for the kill... Even pretty much at the end he tells cap to stand down, and that'S when the whole fight is almost over already.
I don't think enough people appreciate the fact that Mr Barnes is captured in the city of Bucharest. Bucharest. Buck arrest. You're welcome :)
Jasper Marcus Well, they put him in Bucharest because the actor that plays Bucky is actually from Romania, and Bucharest is the capital. It was a little nod towards Sebastian Stan, the actor. But I guess you could say Buck arrest too 😂
Or Bucky rest
oH MY GOSh
Why should i appreciate that
Definitely NOT Undying awesomeness Apparently not.
13:29 Just 2 superhumans beating up an orphan
Rest In Peace Chadwick Boseman. We’ll see you on the ancestral plane
You forgot one. The fact that Crossbones's need for revenge that resulted in the catalyst of the movie happening. Revenge was the point of the first and final conflict
Brandon Layne yes.Black panther said that when he was talking to zemo at the end.
That point bothered me Cross Bones was proved in the last movie he was a Hydra agent and as a Hydra agent he would have wanted Steve to be dead anyway so even with out the ass kicking Cross bones received in the last movie he would have wanted Cap plus all the Avengers to die. and Hydra was created before Steve ever became a super soldier and if The founding Shield members would have killed Armin Zola Hydra would have been defeated in the first movie. The reason Cap even becomes a Super Soldier is because Dr. Abraham makes the Super Soldier serum and gives to the guy who becomes Red Skull. and then Cap gets the Super Soldier serum because he just wants to help people and does not care about the glory which also the reason Peggy starts to get endeared by Steve. And if Shield would have killed Zola instead of letting him go free Bucky would have never became the Winter Soldier thus saving Tony's parents and pretty much getting rid of the existence of Iron man and Tony becoming less of a dick because his mom is still alive so most of his enemies would not have a reason to try and get revenge on him. Thor would still probably come to earth because that changes nothing that happens on Asgard. Hulk probably still exists. Cap still gets found in the Ice but because Zola was killed Hydra does not infiltrate shield. also Steve and Howard get to have a cool reunion. So if Dr Abraham does not create super soldiers the MCU is just full of human conflict for the most part. and all 3 Iron mans are erased Cap 2 is erased because there is no Hydra infiltrating shield and no Bucky. the first Avengers happens just with no Iron Man. Age of Ultron is gone thus we get no Vision. Civil War does not Happen. Thanos can still be searching for the Infinity Stones and that would still lead him to earth most likley thus we get the Infinity Wars but with out iron Man and Scarlet Witch they would probably loose. So everything that happens throughout the MCU save us from Thanos wrecking everything.
*"if Shield would have killed Zola instead of letting him go free Bucky would have never became the Winter Soldier "* Zola had already performed some experiments on Bucky by the time he fell out of the train (how else could he have survived the fall?), and that mission was the one where Zola was *captured.* If SHIELD had killed Zola at that point, Bucky would probably still have become the Winter Soldier anyway.
As a German, I have to admit I found it wonderful that they tried hard to not americanize the locations or even the background details. I've seen that happen in a lot of movies, sadly. Like, in 5:14, when you see Zemo reading the Hydra book, that news broadcast is actually German. Not even the language, but the channel and their news. Even the anchorwoman is the usual one! Such a minor detail, I know, but I love it. I'm sorry :D
Even the room service was speaking with a perfect German accent. Attention to detail was great.
No Love well in iron man one they talked the exact urdu when subtitles mentioned (speaking urdu) marvel really cares about that stuff... i remember in batman first movie ra al gaur speaks urdu it was littrally just mumbling
Rafay Monam Ras al Ghul would speak arabic as his background is based somewhere in the Arabian Peninsula. His name is also made of Arabic words. The Ten Rings soldiers in Ironman 1 speak Urdu because they’re from somewhere in Afghanistan
DH Shawon dude all i m saying is that the official subtitles say that he is speaking urdu while he never actually spoke urdu and tbh i also learned a little bit arabic and i can also tell that they way he talks is also not arabic
Rafay Monam Ahh I see what you mean
Can't believe you didn't talk about the part when Zemo said "but, now that you're here in person, theres some green in the blue of your eyes. How nice to find a flaw" This has got to be my favorite line in the entire MCU
10:29 I NEVER NOTICED THAT! Now it feels even more powerful when he learns how to use his Peter tingle in far from home because we're usually not aware of our senses. Having the Spideysense would take quite the while to actually control but they're showing that he obviously already has it.
I have no idea why there's suddenly this weird backlash towards Civil War. In my opinion, it's easily one of the best Marvel movies. It outranks Winter Soldier, in my opinion, easily.
The same thing happened to Star Wars TFA for some reason. It's like some people want to find fault with things everyone else things is good. Works in reverse too. aka BvS
It's called the hipster effect. A bunch of sad pathetic individuals are unhappy with their life and they know hardly anyone knows or cares that they exist so in order to prove to themselves that they are special little snowflakes they say they have the opposite opinion of what the general consensus is. They're obnoxious as fuck but the best thing to do is to see them for the losers they are and ignore them.
It is currently the highest grossing movie of 2016 worldwide and the highest rated CBM of 2016. For me personally, it is easily the best CBM of this year, maybe even the best movie of the year. The minority dislike the movie, probably 2% actually didn't like it while the rest are just trolls and whiny fanboys.
well. people who like it (the majority) are happy and satisfied in silence whilst those who dislike it (the insignificant minority) are the ones who whine a lot. they are noisy and they actually think their opinion is better than everyone else so every time there's a comic book movie, they'll go compare it. if there's a good movie, they'll go run around saying it's better than civil war BUT if it were a bad movie, they'll go run around saying how it's just "like" civil war. pffft.
I felt as though DC fanboys really looked hard into this movie to hate it. Sort of a payback from what Marvel fanboys did to BvS. The difference is, IMO, you didn't need to look that hard for BvS. This movie was damn near perfect with absolutely no plot holes, while BvS has a lot of cool scenes but they are over looked by horrible studio decisions an plot holes. The ultimate cut didn't even do that much to cover them up either.
"Wouldn't be a Russo MCU film without someone losing an Arm Star Wars Style" Re-watching in 2019 when you realise groot lost his arm in Infinity Wars which was also directed by the Russo Brothers. Interesting
In Infinity War, the Hulkbuster loses his entire left arm, and Cull Obsidian loses his arm when Wong cuts it off. hahaha
and then in the beginning of Endgame they cut off Thanos' hand lmao
Who lost an arm in Winter Soldier?
and Hulk essentially broke his arm after his snap
@@ZackKolin well, the winter soldier
I’ll miss Chadwick he really was the best black panther we’ll ever get

This channel is sooo much better than CinemaSins
this channel exists because of cinemasins tho
Personally I think they are just different. This channel actually acknowledges great aspects of movies and CinemaSins uses negative aspects of movies for comedy. Both are great in my opinion but I also like this channel ever so slightly more.
i likes both they balances eachother
CinemaSins actually used to make videos genuinely about errors and mistakes in movies, now he just does a little bit of that but also throws in just so many useless comments and sins on random stuff... I've given up hope on that channel. I love this one.
This channel is discount CinemaSins.
'So now the Russo Brothers have proven they can handle a huge ensemble cast' This was their warm-up. Endgame was their masterpeice
Couldn’t agree more
You ghys haven't seen the Loki fans 🤣 they hate the Russo brothers. While I like Loki as a character myself I don't hate Avengers 3 and 4
I must say, endgame was their best feat, infinity war is the better movie (it was inevitable(pun intended))
Infinity War is miles better
Infinity war was a masterpiece

Every time the title card “queens” comes up I scream, literally scream I get so excited. I have a Spider-Man obsession 😳✋
Watched it in theatre with my SIL, nobody spoiled what Tom looked like to her (she only saw him full costume) and was on the fence, so when the card came up with “left hand free” and saw him walking in the hall 4 seconds in and she was sold.
The only thing I didn't like was that this was considered a Captain America film. They easily could've made this an Avengers film and give Cap a movie about what happened to him after Civil War
its mostly centered on steve though and thor and hulk (Two big parts of the avengers team) arent here
Everyone in this thread is correct
It couldn’t be in avengers film because no hulk or Thor
Im glad someone finally has a good reason for this argument. But the problem is that the 3rd Captain America Film was supposed to be about him vs. some serpent organization that dresses like snakes. That sounds like it would be really boring. When the Russos heard of BvS, they switched it to Civil War instead. Im so glad they did, because we got an amazing breakup of the Avengers rather than just a standard solo movie against some serpents.
If it was an avengers film bucky would have definitely died. The plot armor Bucky had in this movie is huge, because the main character was on his side.
Vision: Our very strength invites challenge, challenge incites conflict...conflict breeds catastrophe. Yoda: Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate...leads to suffering.
Honestly Zemo is one of my favourite villains because he doesn’t brute force all the fighting and goes undercover more often. Also, R.I.P Chadwick Boseman
“Can you move your seat up?” “No.” 4(?) years later and Bucky gets some sweet revenge on Sam
I get that CinemaSins is more popular, (and slightly more comedic?) but I'm really glad this channel exists. The contrast of CinemaWins and Sins is important. It's always good to stop looking at all the problems and glimpse at the things done right every now and then. That said, every EWW (Everything Wrong With) I watch, I will also watch an EGA (Everything Great About) of the same video, provided that CinemaWins has it.
Bronson Strock Right! People always want to trash both channels when in reality they both are necessary when watching a movie. And I'm the same way, I watch every EWW and I'll watch the EGA if there's a Cinemasins video about it already
To be brutally honest, I don't know why they haven't made a joint channel. The reviews would be fair, praising and criticising films in unbiased ways. Also, both commentators are very humorous in their own ways, which would make for pleasant reviews. Imagine how good it would be to actually have something like that in the movie industry.
Cinema Sins are often quite deceptive in their videos and their material should not be a substitute for real film criticism. This channel has a far better eye for cinema and their comedy never misrepresents the film. I really don't think they'd work well collaboratively.
Sam Plater I guess so. But it'd be a fun experiment anyway
You're entitled to your opinion of course but Sins was never laugh-inducing for me... Not that Wins makes me roll on the floor laughing but to its credit it makes me feel good about the movie it deals with. Sins was meant to be comedy, something that makes people laugh and not only ah wasn't laughing at narration & lack of realism being labeled a sin but eventually it got annoying.
I think I like this channel more than Cinema Sins. We all need to start focusing more on the positive and less on the negative. Seems like its really popular to bitch about everything these days.
While it's true we focus on the negatives way too much, we should also stay aware of the genuine flaws in a movie, which CinemaSins points out, amongst its other, more comedic sins
That's the internet in general. All they care about these days is negativity.
Vampyre Kai cinema sins is completely sarcastic. Literally dont take anything seriously in there videos. They even say not to, they describe themselves as assholes who are looking for literally any oppurtunity to sin the movie.
Honestly a lot of sins in Cinema sins are things nobody notices or cares about and sometimes they're running jokes or similar. Pretty sure Captain America even had a ton of sins removed which is there highest praise usually.
I'm aware they are being (mostly) sarcastic. But I'm just tired of that formula. Meh.
i always liked the fact that even though War machine was trying to kill Falcon only minutes before, as soon as War machine gets blasted and starts falling down he goes right down to try to catch him. really showing his true heroism
I’m watching on August 29th 2020 and watching Chadwick breaks my heart
I love when Steve says, "She's a kid!" because it shows how much he really cares about Wanda. Steve sees her as a girl whose been fighting since she was 10, and she's still trying to handle battles, as seen in Age of Ultron and Steve wants her to be the little kid she didn't get the chance to be.
And how Toney calls her a weapon of mass destruction, possibly aluding that he views her as the woman who made his best friend kill people against his will and took him away from him
But Steve also gets Wanda involved in his mess ........I don't see a reason for suddenly Clint and Wanda and ant man coming in the fight ...coz they had literally no motivation to do it....and I really think Wanda would have been more save in avengers facility with vision
@@shivanim1158 One of my only problems with Civil War is that few of the characters have chosen sides because of what they believe. Other than Tony and Steve, and to a lesser Rhodey, Sam, and Vision. But even the latter three are kind of just following their personal allegiance. If Steve weren't involved Bucky would've been on Tony's side, T'challa is in it for revenge, Peter is following Tony, Clint is following Steve, Scott is following Captain America, and Natasha is inherently hard to pin down anyway.
@@harrybarden6053 actually I see it more as him saying what the government said to him concering her.
@Damia Savon, dont forget that cap was the one who actually took the time to talk to wanda like an adult, but still be comforting at the same time. tony and vision feared wanda's powers, whereas cap and clint respected them which would have been important when it came to wanda picking a side.
My only problem with the "I'm going to sit here, so you're going to move that leg." scene is you can see RDJ look towards the camera basically saying "Don't cut, I got this."
That's what makes it so fun :) My favorite part about Tony Stark is that he's indistinguishable from RDJ. Which is which? You can't tell! I like that.
Breaking the 4th wall .
Aida Baida even though this version of Tony Stark is based on Superior Iron-Man (where he was an actual bad guy intent on controlling the world)? I understand why people like the actor and the comedy of his dialogue... but people actually like the character of Tony Stark? He's a grade A douchebag that wouldn't give you the time of day if you ever met him in real life... how can people like someone like that?
he's sarcastic
gotta love sarcasm
RIP King Tchalla.. One of the best casting decisions in the MCU
I really think that Steve saying "he's my friend" and Tony responding with "So was I" deserved a win
I’d also give a point for ironman’s “you don’t deserve that shield” line. That really hit me hard when I first saw the movie
