I just rebuilt my cheap Audi RS6 then fitted a widebody DTM GT3 Bodykit to kit, just in time for it to be shipped to Las Vegas for the SEMA car show. But i had a phone call from an Audi Technician who asked me to bring the car back before it goes to the USA as there something which isnt safe on it!

@JelloTR you need to train the young people with no experience. The lad in the video knew his stuff. Even if they'd pay them less, what do you think Audi makes money off? Good services or underpaying their employees? These guys are there for the clients, and if they don't do a good enough job, the clients goes elsewhere. I'm not saying you're wrong, because I don't know the numbers, but why jump to the negative conclusions?

This is such a big + for Audi. I am genuinely surprised with how cool these guys are and how incredibly helpful they were with kitting you out to make sure the modded car stayed healthy as best as they can support you. I mean, warranty has been voided most blatantly, so I think most tech companies could take notice on how good Audi did on this to make sure you still got the best experience out of it.
If he didn't plan to show it @ the SEMA, I wouldn't bet on Audi being so nice with him. Here in EU, German manufacturers are known to be perfect assholes when it comes to consumer support (BMW and VW being the worst ones, ofc).
My man the oil strainers have been a defect on vw cars for the last 25+ years be it on the turbo or oil pan. As the dude said before they are only being nice because it's a show car and don't want negative publicity.
Mat’s dad….. can I just say how fit and well your dad is looking. I reckon being involved in these builds with his son has done his physical and mental health such a boost. He looks better in every video. Great seeing you both working together and having your dad as an integral part of the team

1. audi doesn't sell it esperatly from the valve actuator. 2. there is no "Milltek" spring, it is the OEM spring. Mat is confused as it doesn't line up, but that is because the actuator needs to be recalibrated to find its (new) endpoints. It should do this at next startup when plugging back in and will do after every 50 startups.
Matt, it really warms my heart seeing your dad laugh and enjoy himself, video idea: do a rebuild of a dream car of your dads, suprise him in the end and give it to him, that would def blow up , even more than you already do im sure!
Yeah great to see that relationship he has with his dad. Mine was always an ass and died recently which unfortunately I felt nothing after he passed.

Watching these videos of you working with your dad your mates and your mrs is honestly like witnessing the absolute time of your life. This is probably the period you’ll look back on when your older and wish you could go back to. Honestly so good to watch. First episode I watched was doing the brakes on the Audi s5 on your driveway and now your taking a saw to an RS6 like it’s nothing. Well deserved make the most of it mate 👍🏻

Great job! It is also common to replace the check valve next to the oil strainer aswell as the PCV while doing the oil strainer recall, just for good measure! Good luck

Did you remember to buy the spring for the exhaust valve ?
You could've adjusted the car's suspension height numbers with an diagnostic tool to have the same effect on lowering, without having to replace any components. Did it that way on mine, lowered it by 15mm. Great vid as per usual though :)

Even more, you can code in different ride heights for comfort and sport mode… I mean, it’s amazing what Matt accomplished but seriously in every video there’s a few unnecessary facepalm moments and I’m not even a mechanic. Nevertheless keep up the good work, you’ve got a nice thing going Matt!

I have a 2015 Audi S6 that had turbo failure due to the same oil screen. If your going to do it yourself I would highly recommend either getting a screen delete or oil screen relocation kit. Relocation kit is more expensive but retains factory-like filtration while also adding a stylish accent and easily serviceable filter to the engine bay. JHM Motorsports offer the best one IMO. Especially if you are planning to tune it up even more the oil screen becomes a hindrance more than it helps. Also, get an aftermarket intake. You may not get performance from it but the sound it adds from the turbos is simply addictive and you won't regret it. I have a CTS Turbo intake and although it is kind of a hot-air intake the performance hit is minimal and the sound, oh the sound of turbos singing is the best. The turbo failure of the S6 turbos did allow me to get RS6 turbo replacements so that was a benefit from spending 5 grand to fix in the states before the screen replacement from Audi was offered :P EDIT: Had to add that watching you build an RS6 which is very similar to my car and watching you hit some of the challenges I hit (especially those stupid downpipes) when working on it have been absolutely fantastic :D

Haven't heard about Scorpion exhaust for cars since the early 2000s. Had one on my Civic EG back then and the sound was great!

Many people I know run with the turbo seals out for max flow. The oil filter does the filtering.
Well you can change a german car but you can not change it like a german changes cars.
