Original Description:
Game of Thrones is one of the most popular TV dramas of all time, and fans were pumped to see what the creators had in store for its final season. However after a few episodes, GoT fans started to have some questions about the way D.B. Weiss and David Benioff were wrapping up their favorite show. Like what’s up with Daenerys becoming pure evil so quickly? Why isn’t anyone talking about Jon being the rightful heir to the throne? Was that really the end of the Night King? Are scorpions more powerful, or are dragons?
To answer all these questions and more, step inside the pitch meeting that led to Game of Thrones Season 8! It’s super easy, barely an inconvenience!

I don't know that we'd have been THAT patient for the show, but making Seasons 7 & 8 full seasons would've gone a LONG way towards alleviating the criticism that it was a botched & rushed job (plus, you know, sequencing improvements & story improvements & making their biggest episode of the entire small-screen show visible on more than 5% of small screens)

    • If they had properly ended the show it would have gone a long way towards giving George more time and patience to finish the books. As things stand George will likely never finish and so the ending of the show will forever be the canon ending and I myself just cannot forgive that.

I mean ditching Arya's Warging? collapsing Jeyne Poole's stories onto Sansa without a lick of reasoning behind why Littlefinger woudl fuck up that badly? All the smart political masters suddenly eating lead paint chips for the off season till they're retarded.

When the HBO show came out I was very apprehensive, however a battle buddy had the dvds so I gave it a chance. By season two I knew they were not going to honor the source material and abandoned ship after the second episode. Glad I did, but not at all happy with what they did to one of the greatest stories I have read. Still wondering if G.R.R. Martin can get off his ass and save his masterpiece. They are pretty much perfectly done to portray what people are thinking into a director - publisher kind of view, like if the audience thinks something was cheaply done, they will just blatantly say they don't care. And it's usually really spot on while adding a bunch of top notch humor on top of it, I've binged a lot of them and have been laughing quite a few times over the jokes/perfect timing/editing of them. Well done and I hope that you keep going with it! Edit: Omg I want to see Ryan Reynolds so badly and I hope you 2 can come up with some hilarious breaking of the usual theme, like him as publisher talking as producer or something to just completely break how it usually is xD
