    • Exactly! I was fine with the first one as a stand alone Film. Hell, if they wanted to expand on it, I could have been more accepting had They not felt the need to then connect to the larger Harry Potter series. Keep it in that universe, fine...makes sense. However, stick to THAT only and create new characters and adventures with the occasional Easter Egg or whatever that reminds people it is still Harry Potter's universe just not his story. But they could not help themselves.

    • Seriously tho, the Harry Potter generation is also the generation that grew up with Pokémon mania? Ya'know, the powerful magical creatures you can fit into small spaces and carry around with you & befriend? (That is also currently the most profitable franchise in the world) This IP concept was ripe for making bank off of that generation and even other fans of series like Yo-Kai or Monster Hunter ALONGSIDE the already established Potter Fanbase. But then JK had to go and be stupid and make it all about weird wizard politics, awfully written romances, too many nothing side-characters and World War II...

      @panq8904@panq89042 жыл бұрын
    • Yup! • Pitch meetings are tight! But really, I hate the fact that the deer thing kneels in front Dumbledore so much. I mean I don't say he is a bad but he did some at least questionable things in the original movies. You can argue that is was necessary, or at least a little more complex. Fine. But soooo pure of heart, better than anyone? I think what made his character interesting was that he wasn't just "good" and much more complex. But I think J.K. Rowling wants him to be, and simply dosn't care if is contradicts her writing. And I think that dosn't send a good message. It feels more like a, "If someone is known to be the good guy or the authority, than the person is right, even if some thing leave a bad taste in your mouth" kinda thing.

  • The whole switch between Johnny Depp and Mads Mikkelsen playing Grindelwald could’ve been easy to explain by adding a trait that’s been a secret up until now. When Graves turns into Grindelwald in the first one, we all assume it was due to transfiguration or Polyjuice Potion, but what if Grindelwald was in fact a Metamorphmagus, and few people knew that except for Dumbledore, another reason Gellert fears him as well. It wouldn’t be outside the realm of possibility for his powers to never have been discovered, as it was Albus who defeated him and it could’ve been Albus who put him away as well. This would be sweet too if it was pre planned cause then you could’ve had a different actor play him in every movie.
