You people have no idea how amazing this movie was to a 10 year old in '88.
im 40, and still feel this movie in my soul. Strength, perseverance, courage, inspiration my brothers!! God bless you.
Regardless if this story is factual or fictional, here it is almost 40 years later and it still captivates us.
There is no doubt that this movie has become an emblem in martial art movies. I'm never tired of watching over and over again.
The soundtrack for this movie is an absolute masterpiece.
Unlike the big budget Disney action movies nowadays like Marvels, Bloodsport will forever live on as a cult classic. A true hero's journey.
"Father to son, father to s..on" He totally nailed that line and must have gone to a real sad memory or something to pull that off so authentically. Pair of legends 😎😎

that movie made millions and i mean MILLIONS to start Karate,Taekwondo,Kick Boxing,Judo,etc. give this man a star on the walk of fame.....he deserves it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What I like most about this movie is the message. Even in bad times and loss you don't have to give up yourself, it's about to find reasons to live and go further and beyond.
One of the greatest montages ever created. 10/10 music, plot and screen play. This should be a go to for everyone.
The fight scenes in Bloodsport are the greatest in history. Van Damms kicks are pure art.
That soundtrack, tho! Its a masterpiece. From the scene where Tanaka tears up to this training montage. Its amazing.
The real Frank Dux lies created a Hollywood masterpiece.
The sword ceremony still gives me chills. The music, the story, Jean-Claude and Roy’s performances, so much greatness.
This is my absolute favorite training montage from a film. The score makes it.
So many MMA fighters of the past from PRIDE and UFC mentioned they grew up watching Bloodsport & Kickboxer and especially JCVD. He is the biggest inspiration to us all in the 80s/90s.
There is a special place in my heart for this movie
This scene always gets me misty eyed because it takes me back to training in Shotokan when I was a kid and how proud my pops was when he'd watch me do my kata routines. I love seeing Tanaka start to look at Frank like a son and how he beams with pride as he snaps the rope from the tree stump. The music is perfection.
