  • I do like your approach to problem solving. That hose attached to the caliper with a shraeder valve was brilliant simplicity. With that gear reduction, the bike will climb up a wall at idle.😊.

    • The rear sprocket seems big but according to calculations it could be too small since the tires are 22" in diameter. But we'll see, hoping to testride this minibike soon.👍

  • Are you planing to use bushings inside the hub? to avoid force on the berings when tightening the rearaxel?

    • Yep, of course.👍 I just mocked it up so I could see whether the brake rotor and sprocked flanges were ok. Now I can finish it up by making the spacers.

  • How did you figure out this was the right sprocket ratio? I guess some formula involving motor's RPM and wheel radius or something like that.

    • I considered this but was afraid that brake pads would get contaminated from the chain lube that's stuck to the sprocket.

  • Part flinging is not allowed. I bet you don’t do that again. 😉 Question: Have you seen a ROKON trail breaker bike? From the website pictures, you can’t tell how the front wheel works.

    • It is a bit on the exposed side but also freely accessible, making maintenance easier.🤷‍♂️ Mounting the caliper to the frame is also much easier.👍
