Barbara Ann Minerva, also known as Cheetah, is a former geologist, gemologist, and cryptozoologist; who managed to briefly obtain cheetah-like and meta-human attributes through Max Lord's ability to take what he wants from those; who wish he grants, eventually getting her desire to become "an apex predator" - a cheetah-like creature.

I still think Cheetah should've been the main villain of the movie and not Max. He seems more like a side character. I also wish that she would've become Cheetah way earlier in the movie and fought Diana in the White House. That final fight wasn't that great either, but all in all, Gal and Kristen did an amazing job

It's definitely what a lot of fans would have expected when hearing that Cheetah would be in the sequel, with her often being known for being one of the main arch-enemies of Wonder Woman in comics like Joker and Luthor are for Batman and Superman, so that would make it seem like a sequel should be centered a lot more around her right? Instead this sequel just kind of left me with the same kind of underwhelming feeling I had watching Venom at the end of Spider-Man 3.
@@nicksorenson940The problem is, for odd reasons, DC has never really liked The Cheetah. 99% of fans consider her to be Wonder Woman’s main villain, even over Ares. Even in the earlier stories William Marston (Wonder Woman’s creator) kinda positions Cheetah as the franchise’s big bad. Yet, DC does not like to focus on her like they would Lex Luthor or Joker. If Wonder Woman is part of the trinity and the most popular female superhero of all time (sorry Black Widow Carol Danvers fans, but it’s true) then Cheetah should be put on that threat level of Joker and Luthor. Whenever Cheetah is used these days it feels like DC throwing us to bone to shut the fans up about Cheetah.
Max was one of the worst parts of the movie for me
She should've started the film as Cheetah.
Kristin quit did an amazing job playing Barbara everyone didn’t believe she can pull of a villain character just because she is a comedian actress
She's a good actress, but the movie stunk.
This was one of the scariest things I’ve ever seen. I had nightmares for several weeks after I watched this movie. It was so scary.
Real talk I enjoy looking at a beautiful woman, not stare like a pervert but assholes like that need their ass checked on a daily basis.

Cheetah wasn't the problem in Wonder Woman 2, just as Sinestro wasn't the problem in Green Lantern. Both characters deserved to be in better movies.
Sinestro reminds me of Walt Disney.

Kristen was dope, the fight in the day light was amazing- yes she turned into Cheetah way too late. Her final entrance is lowkey giving goosebumps with the music and she was giving WW a hard time even with her golden armor, for the rest of the fight it was soooo dark such a waste.

When a character wants power like this, power for itself, then that character does NOT deserve it. Only troubles ensue when they get it.

What a brutal execution by electricity on water while Wonder Woman is immune to it.
If I'm not mistaken, that might be due to the fact that her father is Zeus, who is known for his lightning powers. Perhaps that explains why she is immune to it? I can't say for sure

Actually, Cheetah was not executed by electrocution. She was highly résistant also thanks to her fur (Big Cats can withstand some amount of High voltage electrocution). She was sure not well but the healing factor worked just fine later.

Honestly, Cheetah was one of the best parts of this movie. She deserved more screentime, and a chance to be in a better film

One of the best stunts 2:38 when Cheetah penetrates W.Woman's bracelets' thing... Kristen Wiig is superb as ever. I really hope she gets to have her own Cheetah movie

The villainess Wiig should have been was Silver Swan. With her dance background, Wiig would have fit Swan’s origin as the beleaguered ballerina.
Cheetah was the only good part of this movie. Still wish we could’ve seen more of her in her cheetah form.

When Diana lasso’s Barbra’s arm, Barbra doesn’t know what the lasso does. So, is she being honest in what she says or is she being compelled to tell the truth? A thought I had.
The general consensus is that when the lasso is glowing, the person that it's tied to is speaking the truth, whether under compulsion or by their own free will. Since the lasso was lit up like christmas lighting, you can safely assume she was speaking the truth. Since she's not shown to try and resist anything, you can also assume she said it of her own free will. The lasso confirms that it's the truth, but didn't have to compel it out of her.

Gal portrait Diana perfectly, so does Kristen for Barbara. She's right. She has been doing more than comedy.

The whole fight scene with the power lines is ridiculous. 5:35 would have led to a fried cat. You can't hold the line and ground yourself to the structure without turning into ash.

Love Kristen Wiig’s acting in WW. I wish Cheetah has her own movie. Wanting to see more of her amazing abilities.
Wiig was the highlight. The sheer goofiness of the script & plot just feels like some suit screwed with the script + editing. Compare WW1 + PJ's other works to this, and WW1984 is just weirdly off kilter.
Cheetah certainly had a 'shocking' end eh...🤣🤣🤣

You know what I wish for? For this movie to have never existed.
I liked this movie quite a bit more the second time I watched it. It had some weaknesses with the story telling but for the most part it was a solid movie with some great scenes. I understood the story better second time around. Good fight at the end. My favorite scene from both WW movies is when Diana is running after the convoy of military vehicles. Don't know why but that very short clip is just everything. WW looks so powerful and assured there--looking so iconically like the superhero only she can be. And liked Wiig as Cheetah--and the character of Cheetah worked well for the story.

The woman had the desire to become more powerful and stronger than everyone, and the result of this is that she simply turns into a Cheetah. Kkkkkkkkkkkkkk
She is ALOT stronger than this movie shows, thats my only complaint. Otherwise loved Cheetah in this movie!
They could have kept her looking normal in the final fight 😑 And maybe introduce her cheetah form in the third movie since her character in the comics is Wonder woman iconic villain

I don’t get why everyone hates this movie so much. It wasn’t perfect, but it was fun
In my opinion, if the scene where she was defeated was the scene of her death, that was nice. I'm not sadistic by any means, but there isn't a major villain who dies on screen either. She would have been cool, as a death scene, in my opinion. Even if her last words would have been the same as Zod's.
She did not die, she survived thanks to her resistance and healing factor. She even reverted back to her human form, thought she may retained some superhuman power (remember, she was the only one who didn't give up on her wish).

This WW sequel was very disappointing.
I hope in the next version, of (WONDER WOMAN) movie, the character CHEETAH, has a better origin-story, and I hope she looks more like a Cheetah animal. I imagine her having Cheetah animal ears, along with a better looking tail, better looking fur on her, able to run 60-80miles an hour, and have other animal cat features to her.

Cheetah doesn’t look like Cheetah. They should have made her more ferocious looking…as she appears in the comics. Same thing with Storm in the X-Men movies.

I kinda wish the she looked like an actual Cheetah that’s humanoid. More importantly they should have paid attention to an actual cheetah details such as where the spots go on an actual cheetah and she should have smoother fur.

I know it's a silly movie but it's so stupid that she immediately gains incredible fighting skills, not just powers, that make her better than people who've had decades to master their skills... just dumb, but fun!!!
You can just write that part off as saying it was part of the wish. Just give that part the good old comic book treatment and plot hole filled.

It's amazing how a movie can get everything wrong. It's like this was their intention. Let's act like none of us have ever made a movie before and see what happens.
I think diana should have fought cheetah in armour in the second battle but after getting her strength back she didn't need it for the final battle. Max and the wish stone are put in the movie just to have a ways to bring Steve back.cheetah could have become cheetah the way she did in the comics and actually I think diana and barbra should have become friends in ww2 and she become cheetah in ww3.the friendship was rushed a bit but nah we didn't really need max as a character
@@drcokepepper Like I said a disastrous film. By the time the end of the picture comes where she fights Cheetah and whatever the hell is going on with Max, I didn't care, I just wanted it to be over. Honestly, was everyone involved in the production on dope?
@@halwasserman7905 Honestly, bringing Steve back was pointless as it undercuts everything the emotional impact his death in WW1 had on Diana and lessens the stakes within the comic book movie world. The movie should've had Diana dealing with losing Steve and moving on.
@@comyxcon4gaming860 And this is to say nothing of the morally questionable method of his resurrection. And is it just me or does Gadot seem like she lost her muscle tone from the first movie? She looks thin and listless here. I know she loses her powers but even so she doesn't seem well. Maybe she was on the same coke bender the rest of the cast and crew were on.

Making Maxwell Lord an expy caricature of Donald Trump, inconsistent tone (at least WW1 had a consistent tone despite some cheesy moments) lackluster and unimpactful fight scenes, is among many of this film's problems. They really dropped the ball on this one.
Kristen Wiig was the best thing about that movie. That was the performance of a lifetime, too bad it went to waste

they should have made the Cheetah character physically larger. large, like a lion, with claws/paws to match.
And more muscle..My biggest pev, has been the lack on muscle on WW and Cheetah. In the comic and cartoon they have muscles. The men work there arses off, Henry, Ben, most of the male marvel cast and all the women get a free pass.

I remember the scene in ready player one where Wade went to the big club, and there was a character from cats (as one of the avatars). This was before the bomb that was the movie adaptation of cats the point I’m making is the creature design showcased in ready player One was light years better than this, I refuse to believe the creature design for cheetah was really the best they could do.

This movie should have been a team up of some sorts. Just having this be a WW movie alone is where it failed. But it was betting a movie release than home release, which I think would have faired better overall but shows that writers were starting to decline during COVID.

Barbara Minerva doesn't become a Cheetah by a wish if you read the comic books it goes far deeper for the Cheetah and her realtionship with Wonder Woman and Wonder Woman and Barbara were friends at one point. I still think Barbara should have been the main villian not Max Lord and they could have done a better job with the fight scene with Wonder Woman and the Cheetah. I would like to see more of Kristen Wigg as the Cheetah. She nailed it*** Wonder Woman was one of my favorite comic book characters and Gal Gadot is the new Wonder Woman for the new Generation. Linda Carter will always be Wonder Woman to me. I used to watch the TV show and I have it on DVD.

Worst part is Barbara turn evil was just not convincing. She was good person. The way she turned villain is Bullshit. And a main villain was just plain stupid.
Um, did Cheetah have super strength? I thought only dexterity, claws, reflexes and a slightly higher speed than the average person... And lasers from the eyes, bulletproof skin and the ability to fly, were not given, just because the screenwriter at that moment overdosed on drugs?)

Kristen Wiig did an excellent job as Barbara, sadly it’s attached to this movie and Gal. They always say people who are generally in comedies are really spectacular in serious roles because of their range of emotions.
