He didn't say "the best", he said the "most experienced". It means he might not be the best, but that he spent 3 or 4 of our average lifetimes doing it.

I really do love how bored he always seemed, especially when he got older. Unlike the Queen, who I am sure is equally bored but doesnt show it, he always tried to make things interesting form himself.
She's not bored at all, she has had a ton of work to do all the time. I'm not sure about in her 90s Nd 80s, though.
When 60% of your life for the past 70 years is official events and plaque unvailling you would be bored too xD

He was in his late 90s, the world was different then, not to mention being in the greatest colonist and he grew with different values. He served his country what he taught as best for so many years of his life. He deserves some form of respect atleast.

He visited some island full of natives and they made shrines of him. Had a picture of them all together and a line of items he gave to them. They almost worshipped him. Whatever he did that was so generous to those people, they never forgot it and probably never will. RIP

The Queen actually has quite a sense of humour herself. I’m sure they both made eachother laugh. The royal life can unfortunately be quite dull, especially for the older generation that is still so bound to protocol, so I think they’ve often developed a quick wit to keep themselves and all the dignitaries they have to speak to entertained.
I loved his sense of humour so much that I adopted part of it! Rest in peace Philip.
