  • This makes Charles seem more human. There are some happy memories, but I cannot help but feel that there are some sad memories and grievances that live on in Charles' mind.

  • I wish men were still like they seemed to be in Prince Philip's generation. Tough and strong, like the whole WWII generation, interested in a really wide range of subjects, involved and engaged with family and so secure he could let his wife shine as she should as Queen.

    @hayleys1260@hayleys12604 ай бұрын
    • The line between tough and strong, and arrogant and petulant is usually fairly fine and often a matter of opinion. Charles seems to harbour a lot of deep rooted grief regarding is parents, and the Queen and Philips children can hardly be described as having loving, stable relationships. Perhaps if there were less men like Prince Philip sooner the world wouldn’t be experiencing so much conflict, just a thought.

    • His racist and homophobic quips are the stuff of legend, he was a big game hunter at the same time he was setting up the wwf, you've got to have a sense of humour to do something like that. So many funny stories like he was 18 when he started dating the future Queen or 3 of his sisters marrying nazis and one of his nephews being named Adolf. He certainly lived in an almost cartoonish world, during the 1981 recession when there was high unemployment he said, " a couple of years ago people were complaining that they didn't have enough leisure time, now they're complaining that they're unemployed.
