Was ist Dativ? How do you explain the German dative case and which German verbs use dative and why? In this video you will hopefully find answers to the German problem Dativ.
It's the third case in German grammar and probably also the third one you come across when learning German. Dative is used after specific verbs and prepositions. About prepositions we will talk in another video, this video is all about understanding the German dative case and how to use it in combination with verbs.
There are specific verbs which only use dative. If you want to know which verbs these are you can download a FREE PDF on which I wrote down all the verbs that require the German case dative according to each level and together with an example sentence for each and every verb.

In this video we will go through some verbs which require dative and as always I am going to give you some examples sentences. Then we will look at the difference between direct and indirect object and and so some examples as well and at the end there is a bonus tip again. This time about adjective which require also the German case dative.

  • HAHAHAHA I wish I had known the bonus tip before. I was in a chat with a stranger. We were having a good conversation and she asked me about the wather in my country.   • I started learning german many times and I stopped it because of having a lot of stress which I got in the language school. Now I finally decided to start learning german by myself through the book which I had to buy because of my previous language school. I started from zero, A1 and I just go through the index, find the name of the topic and I come here to get explanations. I found this method so easy. and when I feel bored I watch random videos from your channels and still I never found overwhelming. I just finished Nominative and I was just curious about what is Accusative and Dative. After watching this video I am feeling so happy and I am ready to go for my furthermore without having stress. Actually, at this moment I am so happy and feeling blessed just because of your channel and the way you explain. The only problem is vocabulary, which I know it will come with more practice and putting in more time. But the good thing is I am getting more confidence and energy to learn german more and more with enthusiasm. I feel very soon I will going to write comments in german.
