I don't know about robbery of know how. Germany exported a lot of industrial equipment to China but China is a fast learner and they are quickly able to produce their own cheaper and better. It's very impressive how good the Chinese are at building their own industries. They will outcompete everyone for the next decade to come. Never bet against the Chinese.

China is definitely doing far worse than Europe or the US. China’s economic growth is plateauing, unemployment is up, investment and exports are down, and internal consumption is still low. China’s massive real estate and construction markets, which make up a quarter of the entire economy, are rapidly deflating. Meanwhile, China’s debt burden is growing.
Considering that China and Russia are the only true colonial empires that continue to exist today (Russia with Siberia, and China with its western provinces) and considering what Russia is doing in Ukraine today (literally trying to recapture a lost colony) and what China is doing on a certain southern continent... evidently, you don't know very much about the countries in question.

A lot of people are not even descended from the initial colonials (tens of millions of people immigrated after). Russia and China meanwhile are actual colonial empires---with Moscow using Siberia mainly for resource extraction (oil), and China doing the same for its western provinces (rare earths & water). Exactly like the old colonial powers.

US export 3 Trillion worth goods and services and the vast majority is military and security related. The U.S. goods and services trade deficit $951.2 billion in 2022 , Chinese trade surplus 2022 was $837.93 Billion.
China hasn't actually invented anything in the post-Mao era. It got all of its technology from foreign companies that were shortsighted enough to create factories within its borders. The only exception is that part of China that escaped Mao's influence, which continues to be very innovative today. Also known as Taiwan.

To be clear, its Gen. Chiang Kai-shek of the Nationalist Kuomintang Party who had been the President of the Republic of China from 1928 until 1949. He was also the original signatory, as the leader of the Republic of China (ROC), to the establishment of the United Nations (NOT Mao Zedung of the CCP). He also coordinated with Allied Leaders British PM Winston Churchill and US Pres. Franklin D. Roosevelt to discuss terms for the Japanese surrender during World War II. So the "One China Policy" under the CCP is not appropriate. The ROC under Chiang Kai-Shek should have been recognized by the U.N. as the pioneer member of the U.N., not the PRC. Incidentally, why does the U.N. and its Sec. Gen. Antonio Guterres STILL consider China as a DEVELOPING COUNTRY, despite its being the 2nd largest economy in the world, its ability to build their military and nuclear arsenal to eclipse the USA & Russia, its advancement in technology on robotics and even in AI that surpasses the USA, its advancement in Space Exploration & abilities to send its own Space Lab in the earth's orbit and Space Probes to the Lunar Surface? Is it to give more benefits and special considerations to exempt it from major U.N. programs like "Climate Change" mitigation programs, to allow its government to subsidize its manufacturing industry to give it an advantge over its rivals, and to allow it to pollute the earth by building more coal fired power generators to drive its economy faster and cheaper than the rest of the world?
