In this video you will learn ALL A1 level German prepositions - together with their cases (Akkusativ / Dativ), examples sentences and explained in which situations you can use them.
It's important to understand that some prepositions will have a different meaning in upper A2 oder B1 level. But for A1 level, for your Goethe exam for example, you just need to know them as showed in this video.

  • @13:04, I feel that 'in an hour' can be used NOT ONLY for Future, but also for past and present tense. Eg: She finished exam in an hour. Sie beendete die Prüfung in einer Stunde. (2) Finish this work in an hour. So, 'in' as time preposition can be used for past and present also. Please correct me, if/where I am wrong.

  • Guten morgen aus der Schweiz @yourgermanteacher! I looked at this clip but you mention that prep "an" is for a1 level ONLY in dativ! But in another clip for prep you mention "an" as an akkusativ. its good if you clear this up, i know that you use akkusativ or dativ depending on the sentence but its NOT AN ONLY-DATIV PREP!     • You are right that the preposition "an" can take Akk as well as Dative case👍, but in A1 neither two-way-prepostions nor verbs that use certain prepositions are introduced, which are grammar topics that make "an" taking accusative case. That's all part of A2. So just like explained in the video, in A1 you will not encounter "an" with Dative case. We didn't say that this is an dative only preposition. But in A1 you will only see this preposition with dative case: Ich habe am Montag Deutschkurs. Ich bin am Bahnhof. etc. 🙂👍🙏

  • AKK only: dogfub (durch, ohne, gegen, fuer, um, bis) DAT only: aus, ausser, bei, mit, nach, seit, von, zu, gegenueber, trotz two-way (both): in, ueber, neben, vor, hinter, unter, auf, an, zwischen ("ue" = "u" with umlaut) i'm definitely missing some but this should help any new learners :)
