Born in 85 and man, do I miss the old days. Life was so much easier back in the day.
When we were living in the 80's, things seemed so bright and futuristic. Cars, gadgets, watches yiu name it. We couldn't wait for the future to arrive and see what was next. Now we're in the future, and i, for one, want to go back to the 80's!
I am all with you on that one!
I was born in 2004 and ever since my teenage years I feel like I've been born in the wrong place in time. The 80's must've been such a cool time :(
I agree 100 percent. Who would think we'd be living in the world we're living in now?
"I remember the future, I've seen it before We did it better back in the 80s for sure, when we lived in a Spielberg dream The past will come to save us from our complicated lives A plastic mothership hanging in a bluescreen sky And in the warm glow of an 8-bit sun we'll start again " The Aaron English Band - X-Wing Drummer

Born in the 70's so lucky to have my teenage years in the 80's. A really exciting time to grow up. So much change with music and fashion. Having to meet people to socialise. Everything seemed exciting and colourful.
Same here. It was definitely the best of times and never will be a decade like it. To me it was the decade of music and I loved it!
My teens were in the 2010s. Maybe one day we'll figure out how to look others in the eyes at the grocery store again and take the airpods out.

It was definitely a special decade.

@@robertdaone Hi, Yes, yes it was. It Was a lot quieter, over here in the UK that is. Men & women seemed to be better looking ( the women especially). No political correctness, no woke. Seemed as well that different ethnic groups got on better in the 80's, because it came from the heart, whereas now being "racist" is a criminal act ( although racism is evil) but still! Even though the 80's like any other decade wasn't perfect, everything was done from the ❤️ back then,
@@robertdaoneyou know I use to love ( well I can say that now) walking down certain streets in my home town over here, but not now! Not that they're dangerous or anything, but they sparkled in the 80's when we were teenagers. In fact believe it or not the Streets were more dangerous in the 80's, but it was a different kind of danger, as you only got a right royal kicking, whethers now, you can get stabbed or killed, but getting a kicking was way more frequent than the latter ( hard to explain, I know, but one had to have been there to know why?) Me thinks it had, & has to do with CCTV. There wasn't much in the way of materialism, and money. Was at a happy medium. Anyway that's my bit on the 80's.
Damn man, I’d give anything to relive the 80s. Age 7 to 17. What a blast.
Couldn't agree more man!

I became an adult in 1990 so some of the best years of my childhood and all my teen years were in the 1980s. I miss those times a lot, the people, my family, my home, those old places that don't exist anymore, and the pop culture and prosperity and optimism that made that decade so awesome. Life is still good now but I'll always miss those days. Then again, as an adult, I can choose to relive a lot of the 1980s - and I get to make it so that it's only the good parts! Thank you so much for this awesome music that takes me back there again ...

See my comments lol....
I was born in '82 and although it was the first 8 years of my life,..it's sometimes difficult to relate strongly with the decade. The 90s was the decade that I came into my own. 3rd grade all the way to Freshman year of college. The 80s impact is most probably on a subconscious level and will impact me from early childhood forever.

I was born in 1971. Music from the 1980s can be divided into early 80s and later 80s. Later 80s was much more like pop music; the early 80s was the classic synthwave sound. This video truly captures the synthesizer-driven music of the early 80s that was so magical and different from the 1970s-era music that preceded it. Synthwave reflected the spirit of the 1980s: technology and forward-looking optimism.
Thanks Mark! Appreciate that😊

The 1980's wasn't just a decade. It's a state of mind, a different level of consciousness that anyone can achieve regardless of when they were born. You just have to understand the art- the music, movies, clothing, etc. And see where it came from and why.
You took the words right from my soul. Was in my 20's then. And yes. There was a vibe, a zeitgeist the like which I have never experienced before or ever since.

LONG LIFE 80s
1985-1998 best years of my life
Our formative years. 1980 -1984 have a warm fuzzy glow to them. 1985-1989 are a little more sharpe and neon. A very specific section of our generation (the 1975s) truly know and understand the longing and nostalgia of that time period.
And remember kids, to listen to these kinds of mixes with headphones that have a headband worn over the head, with each phone on / over the ears. Best sound and experience ever ❤.
Haha love it!!
Gonna be the ancient one here: born in 1960, the 80's were so wide open alive, music could be chill & not frantic and so could we.....it was the best time to be young & fearless. Thx for your mix--it's like a shot of Everclear to my soul 💙

I'm often reminded of this quote from the movie Strange Days. "Wanna know how I know it's the end of the world? Because nothing is new, we've already done everything." What we need is a new frontier of some kind.
Pre-ancient then. Born 1957. LOL. I remember when we all thought the synthesizer music was so cool. It was a new thing. Still cool when done right. We are lucky to have experienced so many decades and genres of music first hand.

Born in 1978, a child of the 80's, a rebel (teen years) in the 90's. As I remember most of the 90's on a more conscious level, it is the 80's that has made an impact to me. Whenever I hear 80's music, it automatically takes me back into a "non-specific memory" but more of like a "feeling" of bitter-sweet childhood emotions where everything was pure, simple and happy. 80's will always be the best, where everyone was awesome and cool. 80's will always have an unbreakable bond in my heart until my dying days. Music like these, it's transcendental. You're a genius man! Thanks for this.
I reported for Basic Training and AIT at Fort Benning, Georgia on June 6 1980. That was the decade that decided we had missed an entire 2 cycles of development in arms and armor, and damn didn't they give us the best - the M1 Abrams, Kevlar Helmets and body armor, the M16A2 rifle, the M204 SAW, the Bradley AFV...all to the score of DEVO, Flock of Seagulls, Nena (99 Luftbalons) Prince, Blondie, Sugar Hill Gang...cyberpunk before it was cyberpunk. Really wish I had been a teen in the 80’s instead.
Why do I have 80s nostalgia if I wasn't born in the 80s 😮💨I feel like the 80s and 90s were the last time people were allowed to live and enjoy the outdoors. I listen to this and remember stuff that I never did its so weird.
This is a great mix. Busy working in a noisy office and this just lets my mind work unimpeded.
Enjoy😃✌🏼
Oh wow... 😃🤩🤗 grew up in the 80s. Love this!!!
This probably my 3rd fav genre after uplifting trance and breakbeat. It surely make me feel like flying!

Was looking for some new music to work out with it and found this by accident I like it alot
An hour went by and I didn't even notice. Great tunes!!

I watched Starlink pass over my city last night. The 2080s are going to be gem.
Just skimming the comments and everyone is so wholesome. It makes me so happy :) I'm just vibing as I do homework for University. Working full time then doing school is hard, but this music helps me feel relaxed while I write and study!
Very true!😃 The vids get tonnes of positive comments, it’s awesome! That’s the whole goal of the music, to promote positivity and good memories🙏🏼😃 I’m happy it helps with your study!
This really takes me back to the good old days. Thank you for posting. Definitely lifted my spirits.
