His certainty and speed at doing this task with nothing by the most simple tools show why people from this part of the world do so well when they get a little bit of capital and technology to build their businesses. They shouldn't be afraid of foreign competition, as much as they should be worried about how hard it is to find this sort of skill in the West. Great video.

As a mechanic myself I really admire their work. They dont have alot of resources yet they get things done. I only wish they were able to upgrade their understanding and equipment a bit which would make thing last longer and work proper. The windings should be spot welded instead of soldered. When the alternator heats up the solders melt over time which cause failure. Bearing should not be hammered in. Hammering will cause the ball bearings to break and fail. Having high amperage doesn't mean it will charge the battery. Alternators should always produce over 13.5 V to charge a 12V battery. These are just a few thing that i had a problem with when I went back home and the repair shop would not understand. Regardless I have alot of respect for skilled people from back home.
@tkthetech27203 жыл бұрын
In our country many people are talented but dur to lack of resources they can't do more batter
@ranatalha62983 жыл бұрын
If they were to upgrade to fancy tools, they would have to charge more money for the repair which will not make much sense than to buy a new alternator, that’s why in the USA is more cost effective just to go to the auto parts store and buy a new one; since you don’t get to actually practice fixing anything some mechanics are nowadays just parts swappers.

Lol ok bud just because they save old crap dose not mean it’s successful or good for the economy... if this was so great why are they dirt poor? They have to do this...
@@ryanburbridge well, it's good for the world. if anyone always used new parts and not recycled it, we have alot more automotive junk today. and yeah it's good for economy too they saved alot of money by using recycled parts. if no one like them recycling vehicle parts, there will be alot of vehicle that just seat there collecting dust because they don't have parts for it. so yeah they keep economy rolling
These niggas be wearing dresses and live in the literal stone age. I'm good tho
They'll all die of cancer and pollute more while expending more labor than new manufacturing.
Well done my pakistani brothers, these are hard working and skillful men 💪🏼💪🏼.. enjoyed every second of it
Just skills. Brilliant. I bow to respect.
Are these the same people who do starter motors? This isn’t just 'Third World mend and make do', these are men with very real skills that could transfer to anywhere in the world. When I was a young man and my vehicles were older I always bought reconditioned alternators.
When i look at the end product.... And i look at the team that put it together. I wish they had some backing to export re conditioned starters and alternators. Excellent work.
They would be well paid for sure.
They are gearhead brothers , i wish i could hang in that shop sometime .. respect from nyc usa
@JOE BLOW FROM COCOMO 👍
But probably not healthy working environment
More cheap. Good job. Masaa allAh.
In the united states opening a shop like this one would be illegal cause il take out huge corporate business out.. pure skill i would rather pay a shop like this ..
We don't need to. Because we have so much money we can buy brand new.
Using american labor for this will make it gold expensive
The problem is time, a Tech can swap an alternator out in an hour, rewinding the stator is a skilled art but takes too long... brilliant to see tho !
this kind of business will not be successful in the big American cities, the rent, permits and the cost of living ... impossible to subsist! many mechanical workshops have disappeared for that reason. anyway it is very interesting what these artisans can do!
Wrong bud there's lots of alternator Nd starter rebuilding shops across the USA
From the begining of disassemble to the end of essembly professionaly done with limited space maximum quality out put well done keep it up guys syabas.👍

I love watching the videos of these skilled mechanics rebuild and/or repair all sorts of different truck/car/semitruck parts !! It can sometimes show you how to do repairs at home without having the proper special machines/tools that big companies can afford to own and operate. This channel and the others like it are such a great idea !! Thank you for uploading them, and thank all the men and women that make them possible.
Just goes to show you we don't need computers and robots to build things. Watching this was better than watching any movie with stars. These guys are the real stars in to days world.
I wish every factory worker in the West would watch this guy take apart this alternator.
We westerners need so much to come up with so little. These guys are quite different. Respect!
Thanks for respect and appreciation😊😊😊
That alternator is better than new!! What great handcraftsman are these guys, they work hard and precise, all world can see their skills now!!! The only thing that worries me, is that there are no safety precausions at all!!
Wow, I gotta say, I really impressed!! It came out looking really good!! And with simple hand tools too!! It’s amazing what people can do when your driven by necessity!! It’s a shame we live in a world we’re it’s easier to throw repairable things away and buy a new one rather than learn how to fix them
Glad you liked it!!

@@rickjames8943 hey, leave Dave alone! He wants to look virtuous!

Yes, thanks
Хороший ремонт, особенно когда старые подшипники на место ставят 🤣
In our country many people are talented but dur to lack of resources they can't do more batter
What amazing job for a few bucks.. Cheers from Paraguay
Much respect to all of you and your skills. You should be very proud. I'm very impressed to see what you can accomplish. Americans need to take note of this and go back to this kind of renewal of old parts as they used to.
I'm a technician and I love watching men like this work. No gloves or eye protection makes me want to send them some though. Imagine what the labor change would be in the USA! These guys are masters!
Out of all the guys that do this you are the most interesting and you got a Awesome shop very Professional. Stay strong and Awesome my friend.
Gentlemen, you are some excellent mechanical craftsmen as I have never seen before. They have left it better than new. Congratulations from Asturias Spain.

Sadly this is only economically feasible in countries where salaries are negligible and there are no health and security rules and regulations. In the "west" a rebuild like this would cost a lot more than just buying a new unit.
These men are brilliant. Absolutely brilliant! They do such great work with so little.
A little paint and new copper wire but old bearings and old voltage regulator the most important parts were never change
New bearing's. New diode's. Watch again or contact eye's specialist.

There is no need of new bearings If old bearing works. Like there is no need of new alternater if old one can repair.

My uncle used to do this in the 1970s on car alternators. It was just normal to refurbish them rather than scrapping and putting a new one in. I'm glad to see it's still a thing somewhere in the world.

Skills that are slowly fading out because of a lack of availability of parts, what impresses me is when they do the rewinding its not super hard but easily screwed up. What i do find funny where i live places will re-wind alternators/generators/electric motors but ask to do a starter motor and they are like No sorry..WTF still blows my mind especially when the starters not available anymore. Keep up the hard work :) and we appreciate the upload
