Kanu never did anything after this game. Madness
What do you mean?
It shows how little football you watched back in the day.
Kanu Scored 44 goals for Us this is just 3 of them… Foolish boy 👶🏻💥👋🏽
🤔🤔
You are a kid
Chelsea fans would never forget the name nwankwo kanu, the hat trick that stole a 7 month perfect home record
This was also part of a 17 match unbeaten run against Chelski before the Abramovich era. Dixon, Petit, Kanu and Overmars mixing it up with our soon to be "betters" gives me chills. We owned them for so long and now we aren't even in the same league.
No sense...🙄
They constantly forget things. Willfully. Things like whether they have any history to speak of, or that their poop stinks. They think they're the greatest!
Same way Arsenal fans would never forget the name Drogba 😂
@@jeehanandez5286what did Drogba to Arsenal do other than score against Arsenal like he did against other teams? This right here puts an end to a record streak of home clean sheets and wins. That's the difference here.
Kanu was one of the most dangerous player of his days, very unpredictable but his style of football is a complete made in 9ja, we play from the street to stadium.
You are 💯% correct 👍🏽
He had great close ball control and his foot was size 15 ? … Nigerian Superstar… Kanu Big love for London 💯
I think he made a lot of Nigerians into Arsenal fans. Reminds when I see a lot of South Koreans at Tottenham games
@@Ze_Moosestill see them at tot games, lmao.
@@Adonai.G true true 😂
Henry on the bench and Kanu on the pitch says a lot about his football brilliance!
Wasn't this the real early days of henry though
Kanu já era uma estrela e henry estava só começando. Abraço
The man who makes( things in )Football to looks SIMPLE AND CALM!
What a comeback! What a hattrrick! What a player! What a club! #Kanu #Nwakwo #Papillon❤️💪💪
Let us not forget that Kanu moved to Arsenal and achieved all this after a Heart surgery. He was a star for Nigeria at the Olympics, Inter Milan, Ajax before the heart surgery. Even Ronaldo De Lima said Kanu made football look easy during their Inter Milan days. If he was completely healthy, he could have been more dangerous upfront. The heart surgery slowed him down later. After the 1996 Olympics, with the array of stars in the world, Kanu was named the 6th best player worldwide. This information is for those who started watching Kanu from 1999 and thought he was average. You saw him when he was going down
Top falou tudo, kanu meu segundo maior ídolo mundial atrás apenas do brasileiro Rivaldo.
Watch him in Ajax man was a beast
No one thought Kanu was average. Even at Pompey he was a clutch player. World class player that will remain as bigger part of my childhood as any other.
Exactly my dude. He was absolutely world-class and just mesmerising. His hold-up play as a centre-forward was just another level!@@Lupidaloop
Kanu's third goal was simply superb
Little is spoken of that 3rd goal. One of the finest goals
King Kan-uuu.. They dnt make guys like this no more! Kan-uuu had a heart condition. Achieved a lot more & played with more heart than the best of them💯
It's beyond description... The legend of Kanu..
Kanu was brilliant. We were two goals down Arsenal but what a great performance from Arsenal and from my man Kanu.
Watching this game after so many years, only made me appreciate the genius and giftedness of Kanu. He was A strong, hearty and creative striker. Like someone said earlier, he was unpredictable as a player. U never know what he'll do with the ball in front of goal. May God bless NIGERIA.
Kanu was amazing from 98-01. Love how he would sit down keepers and pass it in. Quality! His performances were not as good after that, plus limited game time, but he played a big part till 04. Loved the celebration of him jumping over Wiltord at Old Trafford in that title winning goal. Will never be forgotten by the Arsenal fans, he’s a loved player for sure. As the Arsenal fans sung his name when he scored for us. Kkaannuuuuuu!!!!!! ❤️ Great footballer for the Arsenal.
Chelsea 2 - Kanu 3. I remember seeing this live on my TV, I could not believe it then... I still don't believe today. 😮😮😮😮😮
The day i became an arsenal fan... i won't forget this day in my life
...and now you regret that decision 😈
You make bad decisions but now how market???

My heart nearly stopped when that went in I went ballistic ….. listening to the the commentary still gives me goosebumps
Superb Arsenal come back after a terrible 2-0 Chelsea advantage;Kanu a versatile striker of his days!
When arsenal where the pride of London.kanun an arsenal legend.
Kanu is a wonder boy; creating possibilities when impossibility is written everywhere. Only an enemy will deny him of his Legend-hood. Papilo is simply a master Legend.
Every Nigerian boy that played "monkey post" knows 1 or 5 Kanus; those boys that never ran to fast, or put too much strength into it, just smooth cutting and sublime skills.
Felele footbal
You're an OG. Lol. Who can forget playing monkey post barefooted on a tarred road?

Imagine Nwankwo Kanu, Thierry Henry and Davor Suker all playing in the same Arsenal attack? Just wow!
One thing about Wenger... he loves attacking football 🤣
Suker was shite for Arsenal.
And Overmars
@@GreenSaxon wasnt shite jist older not in his peak
@@flamboyentpromotions3471 He was shite and instantly forgettable at Arsenal. Great elsewhere, but his best days were long gone by the time he arrived at Highbury.
Kanu 1.97m de puro talento e esse terceiro gol dele sem ângulo cara foi esplêndido.
Ojhhhh can u believe it. Kanu has flattened Chelsea. What a commentator
"This is simply extraordinary!" Simple was never a word used about Kanu's mesmerising abilities but extraordinary definitely was 😊
I remember watching this at the bar of the hotel I was briefly staying and that third goal looked like a mirage. KAN-U-BELIEVE IT was all I needed to hear to conclude that it was goal and not a side net. I feared Chelsea was going to bounce back but it was too late. 15-minutes of Kanu’s genius brain and legwork. A team where Thiery Henry sits on the bench was one to beat. I think the Liverpool comeback (Asharvin) was the closest and perhaps the Reading (Carling Cup) comeback gives me that feel.
I paused the video, just to “Chelsea 2, Kanu 3) 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I was watching this game live.
i watched this game live and it's a game that i will never forget until the day i leave this planet.

That pitch is mad, imagine a premier league pitch like that now. Also I had forgotten that Le Saux could actually be a nightmare to defend against.
切尔西和阿森纳都踢出了很棒的比赛。 卡努的表现令人难以置信。 Chelsea and Arsenal both played great games. Kanu's performance is unbelievable.
Kanu one of my favorite football players of all time.
Am grateful to God for watching nwankwo kanu🇳🇬 playing during his prime...a real football era🙌👏⚽
Don't be prat. There is no god
This was part if the reason I fell In love with Arsenal.. Have I been disappointed and heartbroken by arsenal many tines yes but I can't still understand why I am still holding on to the club

Chelsea 2 Kanu 3 I remember that on the back pages of newspapers in the morning great game
I remember as a kid watching the old BBC vidiprinter on final score the last 25 mins Chelsea 2 Arsenal 1 kanu 71 Chelsea 2 Arsenal 2 kanu 76 Chelsea 2 Arsenal 3 kanu 89 I will always remember that game it was a 3pm kick off on a Saturday aswell unusual for a Chelsea vs Arsenal match COYG
Kanu always dance with ball and he can make keeper sit down with his dancing skill
I will Never forget this Game, Salute to KANU unplayable that day! 🔴⚪
Kanu moved to Arsenal with a heart condition and yet was a marksman upfront, he was even more a beast before his condition. He was an invisible "invincible"... LEGEND ❤
Kanu loved playing Chelsea.
Funny how our memories can be unreliable at times. I could’ve sworn Kanu came on as a sub for this match
I thoght that too but he stated apparently
I would have say the same thing too
I thought so too. And I’m sure another video of this match shows him coming on in the second half 🤔
i remember someone saying he came on with 15 mins left
The Mandela effect. I always thought he was subbed on in this game but apparently he was playing in the first half.
Remember that game so well. Kanu really was a great striker but did not play always with Arsenal blessed with so many excellent forward players at that time. Great Arsenal history
He didn't play all the time because after signing for Arsenal, he developed a heart condition, he played all through with that condition which eventually slowed him down. What a legend.
KingKanu A LEGEND ♥️
Kanu should’ve been arrested for this humiliation
King Kanu. Best match of the season.
Kanu one of the most underrated players in history.
Kanu🔥🔥🔥
Starlet performance at that!, Bravo invincible Kanu.
Kanu was the most underrated player of his time at Arsenal and I don't understand why.
Because he makes difficult thing seem easy.
Sweet nostalgic memories forever Arsenal 💖
This was the day I became arsenal fans and am still an arsenal fan and ever be arsenal fan
unforgettable moment of kanu
This game will ever be in my mind
Henry starting on the bench is crazy 😂
And Kanu performance shows why
Kanu já era uma estrela e henry estava só começando amigo.
Never forget the day
It's a shame (and odd) that the highlights didn't show the build up to Kanu's brilliant third goal. I've seen it on shorter footage.
This is the best thing ever
KANUuuuuuuuuuuu believe it!!!! What a player 😉
I remember this game the commentator was saying KANU 3 Chelsea 2
Kanu is underrated ❤
It's at 1:20 suddenly you see him there immense one great legend a singular man intensely strong a true man in the hearts of many : Gianluca Vialli forever ❤

This will always be remembered KANU NWANKWO
This was a Kanu hat trick, the synopsis of the match is incorrect.
Papilo exceptional talent
I watched that game on Channels tv Good ol' days Live Or MITV Definitely live And on Monday we could not stop talking about it in class.
I was there….in the Chelsea end 🙂
Times when players were men at arsenal. The greatest of all turfs Highbury park. Where Wenger was still in his younger years

Nwankwo Kanu one the greats of football. His talent was something you could not teach and put to bed that often baseless notion created in England that very tall men cannot have nimble feet. Kanu a true Igbo son.
That was a big comeback
