But Arsenal had both their PFA and FWA player of the year winners firing on all cylinders in this game, and their second goal probably showed why either deserved to win the accolades. Between their goals and assists, Arsenal's route to the double was fairly easy. Both routinely turned up in the biggest of games that season.

@Magare Evans I'm guessing that's your terrible excuse to why this Arsenal team never won back-to-back PL titles and never won the champions league? The reality is I recall they were favoured by officials often to the point it annoyed me so how do you explain that? That unbeaten run wouldn't have happened without decisions. Arsenal can't blame officials, they failed to win the 2002/03 title despite being given TWO offside goals in the SAME potential title decider vs ManUtd in April 2003 which finished 2-2 ManUtd scored 2 legitimate goals to Henry's 2 offside goals (his 2nd, absolutely horrendous decision). Arsenal were somehow still complaining about the officiating at the end of that game even?? And claimed that despite losing the title they were still the best team, so they weren't gracious either. Bad losers and underachievers.

Kanu is a very underrated Arsenal Legend. Watch him on the ball, he almost never wasted a possession and always had a clever pass or through ball in his locker. I started supporting Arsenal just so i could watch what he did with the ball at his feet. Amazed me every time as a kid.
One of the most technically gifted African players of All time
Hands down the game that won us the title.
You see that Arsenal fan around 15:24 pointing Pires where to cross the ball lolololol Great vision even by the Arsenal fans
Eagle 🦅 eye 👁️
That was beautiful to behold. It's easy to forget JUST how resolute and strong Arsenal were during this period. With many technically gifted players but always with a mental toughness and character!! We in later years seemed to lose? Beautiful memories for Arsenal fans Thank you Arsene!
I always thought that Ljungberg was the player that Walcott should've mould himself to, not Henry. Ljungberg's clever run and no nonsense attitude combined with Walcott's speed would've devastated any opponents.
There is only one Pires
Henry's movement at 14:30 was just magnificent.
Honestly. He just drifted like he was part of the air.
Remember watching this game. Arsenal outclassed us with 10 men, but I LOVE the squad we had at that time - Berger, Litmanen, Hyypia, McAllister, Owen, Murphy, Gerrard, Babbel ... happy days. Thanks for uploading 👍
Man how i wish got that arsenal jersey with the SEGA logo 👌
I don't get why they don't re-release that kit as a retro shirt. Would sell out so fast.
That Era Arsenal owned 30 year Droughtpool in every single game they play each other
Check the history books lad that was a rare arsenal win against liverpool
@@johnoshea470 🤡
at that moment it was only 10-11 years since they won the league tho
@@mahamedaden7237 Typical Arsenal fan. Ain't got a clue about history
10:55 look at Kanu’s celebration for the pen being awarded
Pires made a show of Gerrard for that second goal. Brilliant play.
Yet again this match just showed how strong we were at the time. No Bergkamp No Adams No Vieira No Seaman No problem.
But Arsenal had both their PFA and FWA player of the year winners firing on all cylinders in this game, and their second goal probably showed why either deserved to win the accolades. Between their goals and assists, Arsenal's route to the double was fairly easy. Both routinely turned up in the biggest of games that season.
Ray Parlour was a machine - that tackle at 21.00
I wish I was able to see Arsenal’s greatest generation 😔..
This was the game that made me start supporting the Arsenal. Winning at Anfield with 10 men is almost unheard of in the prem era. When we saw out the game i knew we were going to be champions that season.
22:15 The nonchalance of that dummy by Kanu whilst defending. Love him.
Respect to Arsenal for the football they played. Like a flowing river at times and they could mix it up too.
20:51 Parlour takes out 2 players! And ref and him start laughing at them on the ground lol
This era of the arsenal team were a dream to watch even for the “Haters”
This was the catalyst for arsenals double winning side brilliant season #Champions
What makes this team special was Bergkamp pires lungberg Cole Henry and never forgetting viera and kanu plus wiltord
@R S Oh great analysis there...🤣
Lauren was underrated imo
Wenger had good fighters though most refs never loved Arsenal team
So true
True but they didn't have to love us just show impartiality!

@@cddb5408 Watch the game between United and arsenal in 2004 by winning which arsenal could have gone 50 games unbeaten.Absolutely shocking refereeing and u say that refs favoured arsenal
I want this Arsenal back 😭
I used to always feel Arsenal were just going to win every match somehow, even when we were down. Just so much quality
Arsenal where so solid back in the days hard to break down.
I forgot how quick this Arsenal side were with their movement. What a player Litmanan was. LFC fan
And exactly 22 years later on the day, Arsenal again travel to Anfield battling for the title again 💫
The levels of disrespect shown to Gerrard by Pires😂👏🏿
This is the day Kanu went centre midfield and destroyed Stevie G and McAllister loool
You know you're a good team when you go down to 10 men away from home take the lead and the home team takes off a striker and puts on a midfielder to cope with your ball players.
10:54 I've never seen a ref go to get the ball to throw it to the team who won the penalty, very peculiar
Paul Durkin hated Arsenal
Wow What A fantastic game ____ I will always be A gooner
Arsenal Damu Fei wan kuso helay bro 😂
Watched this game live and now watching it on KZhead COYG
Pires, Ljungberg and Henry. The best strike partnership there will ever be
Disagree never once did they register 100 goals in a top flight season.
Never once contributed to a season scoring a 100 goals, so not the best.
For Arsenal
Amazing what a team can achieve when they have a decent back four - the 2019 back four is shocking
who is here in 2019✔✔

Pires was f***ing Brilliant !!
I always remember saying to my boys lap up every minute of watching arsenal because nothing lasts for ever.we achieved so much with so many dodgy decisions by referees and the media hating ever giving us credit.
Pires was the best Gunner that season
What character and confidence. Despite being down to 10 men, they were playing to win such was the quality and winning mentality. That's away at anfield. Brilliant.
Big & massive win against Liverpool that season. I remember we had such a shit record against liverpool for 4/5 years couldn't beat them or score against them either weirdly.
A bit like Arsenal these days at Old Trafford, oh wait you're always had a bad record up there.
@@justincoombes5205 with United we can at least get a draw and were robbed out of a win last time. With liverpool we get thrashed.
@@justincoombes5205 cough cough won the league there 😉😂
@@justincoombes5205 You were saying 😂 and United haven't beaten us in the league for the last 3 years
Beautiful beautiful commentary omw!!
Van B hard done by... then pires blatantly pushed over.. but then when arsenal win the penalty (In those days it was a straight red for the keeper.. disgraceful)... and we still won COYG.
What a Team!!! 10 Men at 0-0, No Veira, No Bergkemp, at Anfield and still get the win. Proppa Defence. Blistering fast attack. Where has our Arsenal gone today???
اذكر هذه المباراة ومازالت في مخيلتني ⚽️❤
This level of dedication does not exist today.. It's not a matter of nostalgia, football was simply just better back then.
What a goal-line clearance by Ashley Cole
The days when we used to go to old trafford , anfield , white hart lane , stamford bridge and city and used to dominate .
It is absolutely insane how ref LITERALLY CELEBRATED giving the red card to Giovanni Van Bronkhorst. The FA, PGMOL both hate Arsenal and don’t even hide it.
Who is watching this game in 2019

Me End November 2019
Mr.wenger forgot his playing style when he signed xhaka i guess
You are right ✔️
It was so fun to watch Arsenal back then, love every man on the pitch. The play was mesmerizing and Ashley Cole as instrumental part of the attack up the left, lest we forget. It all unravelled with the youth project 😞
Uploaded on my bday and an arsenal fan lol
10:54 kanu lol
A brilliant player he was
.
Sebastian Matarelli his pass was incredible
I can’t stop laughing lol
I was at that match, it was a bad journey home to London. I mean I don't think Arsenal were looking for revenge for the FAC defeat in May but they wanted something, I remember when Pires got away before he squared it, its a goal. GVB was harshly treated for the 2nd yellow as he did not appeal, he just got up.
14:29 The understanding there between the two of em was beautiful
Just how good was Pires?
I enjoy watching this period of Arsenal seeing where they are now (non Arsenal fan)
Pires at his peak was untouchable!
Ray taking down 2 players when it mattered😂
Insanely good arsenal team
Such a strong collective unit, probably wrong to pick out any individuals but Pires and Ljungberg were Beasts!! COYG.
We need a player like freddie ljungberg in todays Arsenal squad... and also the back 4+2 cm's how they were tough and rough... #COYG
Pires was unplayable this season. Won both individual awards for his brilliance up to midseason. Then got injured. He was that good.
Pires a real legend
Arsenals Gold away strip was superb looking
Butt ugly kit but awesome team
Sensational commentator
Those distant days when we had fighters in the side
Van Bronkhurst sent off and Dudek not sent off for denying a goal scoring opportunity
Thank you for the 25 min highlights of this game but what it doesn't show is that Kanu was man of the match after he dropped back into midfield when van Bronkhorst got sent off....Kanu and Ray Parlour owned Anfield that day. You don't even see either in 25 min highlights? REALLY?
Kanu underrated?
Kanu believe it
Love it!
look like robert pires in 2001 is better than eden hazard 2018
@Abhinava Goswami thank you. For apreciating pires. Still verry underrated, even among arsenal fans. He was unstoppable in his prime.

I probably commented before but Kanu and Parlour became the central midfield pairing and were superb. For me Kanu was my man of the match
Ashley Cole still playing in 2019 for Derby..
I miss this era of football so much
Very tight and unpredictable Liverpool & Arsenal could go on and on and on.Both teams bring jjoy .

Jari Litmanen. What a legend
