The thing that impressed me most about the first HyperX Cloud headset I tested was the sound quality, especially for the price. And because I only use wireless headsets, I was excited to hear they were releasing the Cloud Flight.
It has not disappointed. Love the sound quality, feel and features of it, to the point of using it as my main; should be great while editing music. The wireless range is basically the same as all the others, so not really worth talking about.
The only issue I ran into was the mic, could definitely use an upgrade. Check the bottom of this description for the "fix" that I've been using on other headsets.

HOW TO FIX THE QUIET MIC PROBLEM:
Using instructions from Corsair VOID

1. Dowload Equalizer APO here: sourceforge.net/projects/equa...
2. Install
3. In the installation folder you will find a program called "Configurator". Open it
4. You will see two tabs. Playback devices and Capture devices. Find your headset in the capture tab and check the little box then press Ok. It will ask you to restart and do it.
5. After restarting go to the Equalizer directory again and in the file "config" you will find a text file called "config". Open it and in this file you can change the level of the devices you ticked in the configurator program.

Arctis 7 has recessed mid-range and lift in the low highs(5-6khz region) , Flight sounds more balanced and clearer. Big win for HyperX in terms of sound quality IMHO

Would you choose the HyperX Cloud Flight's over the Razer Thresher for sound quality?
Perfect review. I use this headset for 2 years now. Battery is excellent, mic was the best one at the time, but sound for music is weak but accurate. Its a tradeoff for battery life I think. From a jack source you can make it move literally, and it goes fkin loud, but built in amp is limited, but its not an issue at all. I have a big head and i wear glasses and its comfy and light. RANGE IS AWESOME!!! It covers a whole house! I can use it in the basement while reciever is 2 levels above,,,, depends on objects inbetween, but concrete walls seem to be mostly no problem. My previous one was the G933. i loved the sound, but it had issues all the time... very annoying,,,, and mic was crap too. I recommend the cloud flight for everyone, except for DJ-s :D

I just bought the HyperX Flight, came from HyperX cloud 2. I've tried to search it up but can't find anything about it. My problem is that the flight sounds like the cloud 2 when it's on surround sound. And when playing games like pubg/fortnite or Island of nyne that doesn't work for me at all. The Flight and cloud 2 with surround on, it's very difficult to hear exactly where other players are. I can hear if it's left or right ofc, but not exactly. That was no problem with the Cloud 2 and surround turned off. Do you know anything about this? Or is it something i can do?

Man I got this headset and the sound is nuts. It's amazing. I love it. And the fit and finish is great, the comfort is unbeatable. But my god this mic is shit. It picks up every single keystroke, ever single breath (not even a mouth-breather, lol) and it's frustrating. Do you think that a pop filter would help with a tiny bit of the breathing and keystroke noise being received? The setup I have, and with my budget after buying these, I cannot get a stand-alone mic for a very long time. Best, Dax
Although I don't think you'd get one I whould like you to give your 2 cents about the MMX300 from Beyerdynamic. Because I think you do them VERY WELL! I had the Clouds for 1 year before my cable broke. Now I have the MMX and I am very happy with them. I just don't have the 'experience' or a good testing method to compare them. Just my suggestion ;)

+RocketJumpNimja I just got a pair of cloud flights but it had some issues with a quiet hiss when nothing is playing. This even happened when the headset was turned on but not connected to any receiver. For this problem, I got a second pair as a replacement but the hiss was there too. So is this normal for a wireless gaming headset? Do you hear a hiss when not listening to anything but having the headset turned on and not connected?

I have this headset and I play R6 Siege. Not sure why, but I cannot tell if is sound comming from left or top left. I don't have this issue when I use wired headset. I love this headset, but I need better sound location. Maybe the issue is missing EQ SW. Maybe I just need to add more hights.
What I did was changing the Arctis 7 head cushions wit hthe standar Flight = so much better! And I bought a windshield/popfilter for the mic, and the popping was gone! GG

My cloud flight is probably broken I put in the usb and put my mic on the headset then turned it on I was gonna see what it sounded like but then it did not show me anything so I muted it then unmuted it it still gave me nothing so I turned my volume all the way up then it still gave me nothing help me
just got mine today. ordered some brainwav hybrid ear pads because the stock ones are not deep enough for me. my ears toucht the drives and get a little bit sore after a few hours

Usual range like the others, could go through a wall and a door and about 10 metres away. I don't live in a huge place so it's harder to check. Through a thick door and wall it will lose signal after 10 metres for sure I'd say.

Sorry but this does not work for me, any other ideas? My Cloud Flight S mic drops from 100 to 62 when I run Speech recognition or Voice Attack, all other onboard devices are disabled, just the headset and it's mic are enabled. btw this so called text file with the device supposedly being listed in it, well it's not, "EqualizerAPO" shows it as not installed. At this point, only thing I'm interested in is having the mic volume NOT dropping, period.

Sidenote, I've also come to realize more and more over the years that I play better the lighter the mouse is. Regardless of size. An old thread on overclock.net got me to bring out my old Razer abyssus V2. Sensor and LOD aside the shape is very nice for me. And the weight ouf of the box is around 85g. Which is already pretty low. However inside it there is a screw and a weight. I opened it up and removed it and got the weight down to 72g. Improved the mouse alot. Might seem like a small diffrence. But It changed the entire feeling of the mouse. Now if they could only release a v3 with a better sensor and make synapse less shit :D Anyways, keep up the great content!

Mar W Thresher has better sound. Mic would be about the same. Comfort Id probably give to the flights. Build would for sure be better on the thresher. Had both, returned both for A50.

Mar W Most premium feel. Has by far the cleanest sound quality, I think they are the most comfortable gaming headset ever made. Only negative is the mic really isn’t anything special. It has improved through updates but still isn’t that great. Plus the wireless charging dock is cool. Biggest downside is price of course, but I think they are so worth it.

It's the sound isolation you are having problem with, you need to get used to it

@@marccctv5631 Yes, non leather ear cups would help but you would lose some quality also
A wireless headphone mic will never sound as good as wired due to limited bandwidth of the wireless channel. That channel has to also send audio output from your PC hence the input audio quality is compromised as such. Unless it is a dedicated wireless mic, that's a whole different thing.

I’m roughly the same size and the g403 is little bit big almost like the deathadder but slightly smaller as rjn always say smaller mice is better so IMO id go with fk2 but at the end of the day it’s just preference
