The Animated HIstory of Sweden | Part 1: • [ARCHIVE] Sweden Episo...
Denmark. Once the centre of the Viking world. From their homeland stretching from Scania to Jutland, and the Kattegat Strait in between, they became rulers of the Baltic sea.
The Danes were the most powerful and most active of the Vikings, plundering most of the known world before disappearing on their longships back to their northern home. But plunder soon was not enough, and they turned their eyes to conquest, carving out the Danelaw in northern England as well as settlements in Ireland, France and subjugating Norway.
But out of the once feared Viking state, a new crusading force would emerge, but their control of northern waters would not change.

But they did build a lot of cityes and castles all over the land.

    • No doubt about Jelling being the Capital of Danish Viking society! But the stones were not just to proclaim the unification of Denmark but also Harald converting the Danish people to Christians by turning Christian himself. There's even a street next to the church called Popovej named after the monk/priest Popo that made the king change beliefs. But the Roskilde part, ehhhhhh, that's a big yikes

He wasn't a bigger badass than any other Scandinavian at the time, except for his son maybe, Svend Tveskæg now that guy was a legit badass, conquered all of England and left london in the hands of the former king of england (now king of london) until the city broke because of the constant siege, Canute the great would never have been king of the north sea empire without his father Svend Tveskæg.

Og som Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg's bedstefar sagde engang, Norge: "they have no defense and all the oil", hvilket vil gøre dem lette at indtage efter vi har taget Sverige.
