Fusion Wireless uses a dongle, so you can't use it with your phone. Also if you charge your Fusion Wireless you can't use it at all. This is not the case with Fusion 700. It uses a standard Bluetooth connection. These are the main differences.

any idea if the Bluetooth mode can connect to my phone simultaneously and if say my alarm goes off or a notification goes off on my phone that audio will be played through the headset? It seems calls would come through... Basically I've got a falling asleep issue aa game at night after 13 hour shifts, and my Mrs isn't happy as I often end up sleeping on the sofa! I set Alexa alarm but that just wakes her up downstairs and I carry on sleeping with my game audio going off

Connect your headset to the PC via cable and simultant you can connect to your Phone via Bluetooth. If you have a call you simply tap the cover of the earpiece and you take the call. Once it ends, the game music/sound continue to play... 😉
When connected with bluetooth to the mobile device does the mic mute when it's pushed back into its pocket? I have read from other reviews that fusion 300 hade this problem when it was connected with the 3.5 cable, that sudden stop working. thanks for the review.
Yes, it is automatically muted the mic when folded up. No problem so far works as it should. :)

Sure you can, you don't need a pc at all. The notebook in the video has no aura sync support since it has an only red backlit keyboard. Aura sync is an application where you can synchronize the lights in all your devices and those have the same effects, colours and motions. Simple USB, since it has a built-in DAC it works as a separated audio device.

Because i had along the time multiple bluetooth headsets connected to the pc and the sound is terrible, i mean when i had to use the voice with them mic the sound dropped a lot & found out that it's bluetooth issue and nothing can be done. This headsets looks amazing & review as well but wish ASUS made them with a different wifi connection than bluetooth when want to use them wireless with pc!
Correct, it uses BT to connect to your PC or phone. The stick dongle variant you talking about is the Strix Fusion Wireless.

It works as like any other Bluetooth enabled IEM/earphone headset, so sure you can use it with any handheld device, which has Bluetooth. But for gaming via a wireless connection, I would not recommend, especially for FPS type of games. There might be a small latency in the audio, which is not ideal at all. The BT connection is dedicated mostly for wireless phone calls, while you have a wired connection with your gaming device.

I think in general a very good one. No too bass heavy and mids are also well represented. A bit overpriced, but you probably pay for the ROG tax. :)

Yep, only works when USB connected. The light effect would eat up the battery pretty fast.

No, you can't. It will drain the battery so fast, they had to skip this feature.

Habe mir das headset gegönnt bin aber sehr enttäuscht. warum ???? wenn man das headset im stereo modus verwendet geht nur der ton das mic ist ausgeschaltet und lässt sich auch nicht einschalten somit muss man auf den bluetooth modus wechseln damit man im game auch über ts und co reden kann. das problem dabei ist das dann das headset eine sehr sehr schlechte qualität hat sound als auch mic. also 200 euro fürn müll wenn man sich dann eh noch ein externes mic holen muss

Hard to give any advise, if one of the options is not tested (by me). All I could do is check the specs of the Astro. Well, Astro cant connect to your phone and PC at the same time. Astro uses cable connection via the dock if I'm right? (correct me if I'm wrong). Fusion 700 can be connected via USB or Bluetooth, no dongle needed. Astro seems like a competitor to the ASUS ROG STRIX Fusion Wireless, rather than the Fusion 700. On the other hand, Astro uses 5Ghz and not 2.4, which means better transmission quality and less chance of interference. If you want to use this headset with your phone and do phone calls during gaming on your PC, or have any other AURA Sync device, go with the Fusion. Fusion needs to be connected via cable to the PS4! If you don't need such a thing Astro is a better option. (And If I'm correct, It connects to the PS4 via the dock, so semi-wireless option and can be hassle to travel/move with the dock to even use the headset). From here It is user preference. :) Hope you like the detailed explanation.

No problem, just ask. If I have the time or KZhead notify me well I keep answering. :)Typical "Bluetooth noise". My ears can simply hear out these electric noises during Bluetooth idle. Not just with this headset, but FiiO or the KZ Bluetooth module. Other than this its just sad, I can't use it truly wireless with PS4. Only PC/Phone. Other than these negatives no other issues whatsoever.

Richard Wong if price isn’t a problem, the arctis pro wireless is a no brainer. A lot of features, a game dac and a brilliant battery system.
just for future videos. I think people would like to know how's the sound, does the bass sound good and overall quality. I mean this was pretty simple video nothing infromation that much. Voice over etc were perfect so nothing with that stuff just that review

Does the the gold thingy design is scratch proof?
Don't think so. Those are very glossy plastic. Even tho we used these on many events (and no paint peel off or any scratch so far) I really don't think it can tolerate any sharp object.

Most notebooks have built-in Bluetooth nowadays. As for desktops, you can use USB Bluetooth adapters (amzn.to/2D3cOBP) or add a PCIe Bluetooth module which usually got better range, but most likely this is an overkill (amzn.to/2ShcAeP) Hope this helps!

No, with consoles you have to use the USB cable. PC and Smartphones are able to connect via BT. The reason I see here is simply driver and license. For me PS4 can see the headset but unable to connect so no handshake.

You can use both (PC+smartphone at the same time), during gaming or working on the pc if you get a phone call you just tap the side and you use it as a headset. ;)

Consoles can be connected via the USB cable. For me on PS4 it pop-up during pairing, but unable to connect. I was able to connect via BT only to my PC/MAC and my mobile.

Yes, I tested it and can handle dual connection. Yet it is still advised to use with USB cable to connect to your PC to avoid any latency issue with games. Video playback is not an issue but fast pace games might suffer from delays.

The Steel series are mostly competitor of the ROG Strix Fusion Wireless. The Fusion 700 does not need any additional dongle to use, it uses purely Bluetooth. You can also connect to your phone via BT as well, not via cable like the Steelseries 7. I'm not saying any of these headsets are good or bad, but target different segments. If you need a BT connection and pick up your phone during gameplay, Fusion 700 has this good feature. If you want to play wirelessly on PS4 go with the Steelseries7.
Can it be used in ubuntu/linux OS?
Did not tested but these devices are mostly driverless. The apps are mostly for color and equalizer. The equalizer can be changed via other software as well.

You can use it with 2 devices at the same time. For example, you use wirelessly from your PC, playing or watching a movie. Now if you connected to your phone as well, if you have an incoming call, you can pick up from your headset and the movie/music will mute until you hang up. But sure you can also use it exclusively with your phone.

You missed out too much info my man. Comfortability over time, sound degredation over 7.1 and overall sorround and stereo sound quality (outstanding as compared to what? purely made for gaming? that's not very objective and each gamer''s needs are different), use with Asus''s software on pc or app, cable length, showing us the DAC itself (and everything supports lossless playback, you just won't hear a differance on crappy gear), where do the batteries go? I'll have to be left courious this time, but your next gear vid can be the bomb. Good luck

I have this as well. Whats bad - Hellish lack of space within the ear cups, causing your ears to hurt terrible after 30 minutes of use. - Touch pad is useless and a waste of money. - Bluetooth only transfers 16k bitrate (cd quality) instead of 24k, with cable this issue isnt there though. The difference is quality is massive. - Bluetooth can't handle mic and earphones at the same time, you need to switch off the mic and move to external mic in order for it to work, non issue when on cable. Whats good - Amazing sound and bass, impressive. More bass than your ears can handle. - Great build quality. - Interacts pretty good with Bluetooth, never disconnects. Would i buy it again? No, the pain on your ears ruins the entire experience. However if Asus would make custom (BIGGER) ear cushions available it would be a pretty awesome headset and i would still buy. I don't get it though, why make a headset this expensive so uncomfortable. Mind boggling.
Thanks for the details, adds a lot to others as well. As for the touchpad, I know some who streams a lot, and he use it as a music mute button when someone speaks to him. Pretty neat feature but obviously it is not for everyone.

Read the description before you buy it's not advertised as a "wireless" headset but a wired with high res and Bluetooth capabilities.
