Thanks for the great video!
Got this keyboard the other day and i love it! :3
Dud you got me with reds hh. Good vid
first.. also such a nice keyboard! Keep up the good work
I wonder that newly released SCOPE PBT better or not.
What is the best strix flare or Rog Claymore or Scope?
Great review! Saw this awhile ago on the market, might consider to buy one after buying an NvME SSD 1TB :D
same issues for me. most of my gear is on the box cause the app. i will try to get one later and retest, same as you Asus is my blood. and as always good video!. i will retest the app later when i get the rest of the gear
What do you think this keyboard or hyper x alloy elite
This keyboard is good or Anne pro 2 ?
just so you know you can likely use asus aura if you have an asus motherboard , and it makes the lighting experience alot better imo
Nice keyboard but the non-removable cable is a deal breaker for me. I spend so much time moving my keyboard from my desk into my lap and back, depending on my position, that after a few years, the cable comes loose where it enters the board and my connection becomes faulty. So i think i'm going to try wireless next time around.
WOW! That cyberpunk 2077 wallpaper looks super dope!🔥
Poo
linus fat tips lol
Fanboy headass
Hey it has volume up and down on the top thats all I need lol
Straight away this keyboard is very visually similar to the Logitech G513. I know a lot of people want to avoid the Romer switches; but if you do enjoy using them, then I'd say that would be the better value keyboard if you like the low-profile and alloy aesthetic. (Plus it comes with a super comfy wrist rest!)
i wonder if this keyboard will last i broke like 6 keyboard in 3 years k70 rgb burn led hyperx fps alloy doble taps issue cooler master same issuue corsair k95 platinum space bars doble tabs issue now the damn asus flare
I know it's kinda random but I think Asus has combined the AURA SYNC and Armoury Already with their Armoury Crate(working on desktop already)
Nice review, how do you choose which switch you would like to have. I’ve been looking at retailers and I do not see the option “which type of switch” is available. I only see standard red switches on almost all keyboards.
Because he fucked up. You can't change the "switches" on the fly, you decide which type of switch you want when you purchase the keyboard. Obviously this all depends if the store you're buying it from have all those variations available.
@@uberpwnage2.0 Here in western Canada we have a store called Memory Express and it's the absolute bees knees. Everyone who works there is extremely knowledgeable on the latest tech and they don't try to sell you something you don't want. I was there yesterday getting my new ROG Strix Scope which I'm typing on now. When i got up to the cashier I told him I was looking for a gaming keyboard so he showed me a bunch of different ones that they had. I chose the Strix Scope and he had this display case thing that had 5 keys on it and each one had a different switch. He said feel each key and let me know which one feels the best. I thought the brown switches felt the nicest as they were the perfect balance between gaming and typing. He went into the back and got the one that had the brown switches for me. Try to find actual computer parts stores. NEVER buy from big box stores like Best Buy. Most of the employees don't know anything other than how to make a sale so if you have any questions about a product they will not know what the fuck you're talking about.
@@mechanoid2k Thats great. The places i went to here in Sweden only had a certain key, and not all of them.
after having this keyboard for 3 years, i can recommend it.
I managed to get this keyboard for £100 with cherry mx reds and it fits in great with my full ROG setup
"every single feature under the sun" Wrist rest: am i a joke to you?
Just put a damn piece of cloth under it
And media controls
ah i got the deluxe version and it has a great wrist rest
does it have a usb pasthrough
2:23 Sound test
Thanks
this keyboard has been 10/10 performance wise and it feels really good to use but the software is killingggg meeee it’s so unnecessarily difficult and i probably won’t be buying another rog keyboard for that reason alone but will definitely stick to red switches
2:18 real sound test
What software does he use for the live/moving desktop background
Steam wallpaper engine it's $4
do they have one just like this that is wireless?
Will this work on laptop? 😟
I use the HCMAN mechanical keyboard from amazon. £25.99, I've had a razer blackwidow chroma before with their green switches & i've had a corsair strafe RGB with cherry MX reds. None of them make me play better. Never again will I pay anything over a £100 for a keyboard when this 25.99 has their own varient of blue switches that feel really good & RGB lighting. All whilst still feeling rather sturdy
What about the huntsman elite?
How does it connect?
I've been watching this most the way through and I kept thinking I know this guys voice. Then it struck me, he sounds very similar to some of the male wood elves in Elder Scrolls Online.
is yours a proto type? the left shift key is so small, but all the picture I found is the regular size/same size as the left control.
His l shift is small because he has the UK layout not us layout
@@ababababbaab9996 interesting, since what's special about this keyboard was about big control key.
Damn they did good
Nice keyboard!!!
Wat is the lg black monitor model??
Well when this big companies start to implement a pcb with hot swappable switches I'll consider buying one, and yeah I actually prefer a tkl, the fart before the sound test was pure gold tho.
That keyboard looks good
Can it do to laptop?
Should I buy the cherry MX Brown switch or the cherry MX Red or the Cherry MX speed silver
I don't like the silver because there's no click, the key just slams right to the base of the keyboard and I don't like it. The red has a heavy click and is very satisfying and is good for pure gaming. I game out quite a bit but I also type a lot so for me I prefer the brown. It has less click than the red so it's perfectly balanced. So my personal recommendation would be the cherry brown.
varmilo and leopold are best mechanical keyboard!!
I've been looking for reviews that will sell me on this keyboard. The lack of devoted media keys is a bit of a pain, but it's still really selling itself. I use my keyboard all day every day, between gaming and work. I love my Ducky Shine 7 to bits but my major complaint is its inability to use a third of the keys on the right side after about a year of use (and a spilled vodka tonic - I'm so sorry, Ducky).
I have a very important question, is there an option for me to buy this keyboard but with the speed silver switches ?
Yeah go to asus site rog scop
@@adrianorenchez7846 Can you please send me a link i dont see an option to buy on the site just to preview.
@@Salee357 ouh...sorry i really dont find any buy zone to scope chrrymx speed.
why is the shift key smaller?
I'm still happy with my Roccat Vulcan :)
i picked up the tkl deluxe version for £65 :)
why can't i find these exact keyboard? :(
ehh... im happy with my razer huntsman lol, no problems so far with it honestly xd
Got a huntsman as well recently. The tactile feeling when u press... unbeatable imho
Wait which one is better this keyboard or razer???
I just got a cherry mx red one shit is fire
should i hook this up to my aftershock 15x vapor lmao
Still so happy with my Logitech G15, macro keys so useful
I've used mine for over 10 years. Great keyboard, but once you've tried mechanical switches then the G15 becomes obsolete.
I guess you're probably right. There are so many to choose from now it can get very confusing. With the G15 it's the macro facility that's so useful, most modern ones seem to just have 6 keys which can be a little lacking for some games. keep safe
@@stuartrich9885 well I own the G910 but I doubt whether I will ever again buy Logitech. My G910, just as many other owners report, started to have issues after almost 2 years. Keys registering double or nothing at all. I'm now trying their customer support for a solution but they treat me like a child. I've virtually done everything to solve it (clean it, disassemble it, etc.).
Rather get Massdrop CTRL
What is the deal with that tiny left Shift key ... That's an instant F for me. Great video btw!
kmd subs European lay-out if you buy a US or US-int layout it will be long, I can confirm. I specifically went for one with a longer shift.
Where was the privacy button when I still lived with my parents?
It cost $209 in Singapore
i cant even get the software to install
why cant my scope be read in aura???
Nothing can beat the bloody optical switches keyboard for gaming. Such quality and effectiveness.
HUMAN FROM EARTH eh I like the MX Speeds more
@@Maubro1 Whether you specifically like them more or not isn't relevant to which is actually better for gaming. 😞
You’re right but there’s probably minimal difference between the two, it’s just what you prefer
@@Maubro1 I prefer no chattering tbh
HUMAN FROM EARTH what’s chattering?
literally buying this keyboard for stealth key
Rog or razer? Scope or huntsman?
Hmm 🤔
No volume scroll. Then its a no for me. Sticking with my claymore
Wouldn't the new steelseries apex pro tkl be the perfect keyboard? This Asus one is just like everyone else but with an Asus logo
Haven't seen that yet! Will have to check it out
I mean the new ones are pretty cool but they're not out yet since it's just at Computex Would like to see a review though
The price says other wise.
0:22 - Yeah, except macro buttons, media keys, volume control, wrist rest, USB pass-through, on-board profiles. 2:22 - Please type for more than 5sec at least for a proper keyboard sound test.
no volume control is a big dealbreaker for me... sure i could just use AutoHotKey but that uses system resources
The reason why all those extras were removed was because FPS games aren't like Mobas in which you have to have some macros. FPS games are kinda standard and they really only focus on firing guns and using items USB passthrough isn't really a need if you already have a USB port open Volume Control isn't needed as well because rarely has anyone used that when most of the time the controls are embedded into a headset device on-board profiles are there as well and you get 10 MB of Memory so you can store all your profiles on it
@@heart4011 Well yeah, one could find workarounds for most of these things, but at least don't say that a keyboard "has all the features". Also, maybe I missed that, but does it say it's a keyboard for FPS only?
This dude is hilarious.
Often I sit back to my sofa behind my chair, and take my keyboard with me. This keyborad has a wire :( I hope one can find it without a wire..
ROCKSWOT every best gaming keyboard is gonna be wired
No macro Key
The wooting one is better.
This happy with my claymore...
The key caps haven’t snapped for you yet?
I still got my Logitech g10+ keyboard
bro thats odd we have the same mouse pad and keyboard lmaoo
I'll stick with my asus rog strix flare. it's never let me down and the best keyboard I've owned. it's why ive stuck with asus rog line for mouse and keyboard. currently using the asus rog strix flare keyboard and asus rog spatha mouse
The flare is great, but does feel a little cheaper. Neither is better than the other, both very similar
@@PcCentric yes I agree it probably does feel cheaper being plastic but I've had it for since they released and it's still going strong. i have never had a keyboard last so long before. Asus rog line makes great products
@@brandonhiggs88 "last so long" , isn't strix flare jz release about a year ago? ...
@@Fr33domSouL I've had it for almost 2 years
@@brandonhiggs88 i see.. probably a very hardcore user then considering your pevious keyboard not even last 2 years before. (Not sure what is ur previous keyboard) but still... - my current gaming mech keyboard still fully functional after using it for approximately 6-7 years... and very low cost..no hates on flare though, as i've been using many of other ROG products.. jz surprise ur previous keyboards not even last 2 years.
I just bought the claymore!!! GGGGGRRRR.
Haha nice! I got mine on sale and really happy with it!!
@@Julius-lr7xr Yeah, I bought mine spur of the moment. :(
Been a fan since this channel had way less subs, not a fan of the click-bait titles that it's leaning towards now.
2:19 sound test
I told the cat, but the cat already knew.
Don't tell my cat, achey breaky cat
Two reasons why it's not... 1. Its not 60% 2. Its not Ducky Quack.
Ducky is the best
Asus ROG Strix Scope ... does it give 8x for AWM marcus
Haha, probably not!
I won't say perfect if you're more competitive because it's way too big
this man uses a TKL/60% keyboard and thinks he's tough shit
@@heart4011 try playing a very low sens competitive not casual with a full sized keyboard without slanting it and tell me how you do
How much would I pay for a keyboard ? Umm if its a wireless 60% With ROG branding and superb quality than money is no object.
get an anne pro 2 then
@@royisdabest I have an anne pro with custom key caps and all that good stuff , but I'd love to have ROG give us a take on that nish
Also , I have all ROG setup so It would help me complete it , and I'm not going back to big wired keyboard ! Haha
um no media keys ,no macro keys, no volume rocker, no usb pass through, how the fuck is it packed with features?
K95
Ducky keyboards are the best
not perfect, gotta have numpad on the left side or detachable like claymore
Am I the only one who starts to tick when a keyboard reviewer presses the space with the index finger instead of the thumb? :D
just you
Yeah every feature... Where's the wireless? How are gamers with cats suppose to game without fear for our peripherals or of dying in battle?
Does this butless keyboard work to bring up BIOS in Asus motherboards?! If it doesn't (like the Corsair ones), then ASUS needs to get a Singapore butt bamboo caning!
Price is very high 🙄
i use a MSI Vigor GK70 Red As im one of the cool kids :3
Hopefully the sh**ty plastic key caps don’t disintegrate and fall apart in your hands like the ROG Claymore. :P
wow thats a clickbait title
ehm .... we already have the perfect gaming keyboard... wooting keyboard if u heard of
thumbs up for that fart
The rog falchion is much Better and Wireless
what the hell does ROG mean
Republic of gamers
Corsair software is shit, or rather their drivers. Changed 3 k70 lux for flickering problems, still persisting on a new pc. Disgraceful.
How is it the perfect gaming keyboard, i'd say the k95 platinum is closer to that title, tho some people prefer 60 percent, which is why you cant have a perfect keyboard.
full sized = nah
buy the claymore core that's TKL
For a few quid more you could pick up a ducky shine 7. This keyboard is overpriced plain and simple. But I can see people paying it for aura sync integration I guess. Never underestimate the premium people will pay to make their setups matchy matchy.
The more I watch any ROG keyboard reviews the more I want Razer peripherals. Especially after seeing those poor software experience. A bit shame on that part tbh.
