Getting more comments about the Logitech G915 than this keyboard 😂 Dont worry, my review for it drops tomorrow morning!
Love ur videos bro... I really enjoy watching them But plz can u do a pc build video now
Oh, Corsair actually beat Razer Ornata Chroma in terms of paying a horrendous price for a rubber dome keyboard :P
Order me a cheeseburger
DO HYPER X QUADCAST VS BLUE YETI USB
???
This is not a Mechanical keyboard. You can exit the video now.
Koro Koro lol thanks that’s legit all I care about
You're a life saver man
Thanks helped
Thanks bro. Sometimes he oversells and it can be abundantly annoying AF - overall good place to find out about new products. Saved me 8 min
Thx
It's just a wireless K55 and its somehow double the price.
so just like the wireless versions of the same headsets, they're all nearly double the price. Which is ridiculous but it isn't a new thing
I literally am still using mine... Just because I dont want to buy another mechanical that I already have
Yup
REvAMP 7 K55 is NOT a mechanical keyboard
@@revamp7899 lol the k55 isnt a Mechanical keyboard
Scratches at a level 2 with deeper grooves at a level 3.
Thank you for taking the time to review this keyboard. My primary use case is work which is mainly software development, zoom calls, and general documentation, and communication through chat. For thIs, I think that this keyboard would be a good fit for users like me. What I love about this keyboard is that it has RGB lighting. I bought my first RGB keyboard (Razer Blackwidow Elite - Orange Switches) about 10 months ago, and when I was typing on the keyboard, the post on the M-key broke off. It is now not unusable, and shockingly it was not covered by the warranty, so until I find a good replacement, I am having to use an old Corsair k70 with Cherry MX Blue switches. I love it, but the keys are so loud, and I do at least five zoom calls a week with stakeholders, project managers, business analysts, and developers, and I don't like the loud, clicky sound when I am taking notes during the meeting. Although I have used nothing but mechanical keyboards for the past 5 years, I am not opposed to using a rubber-dome keyboard because they are quiet enough to not interrupt speakers when they are talking. But going back to the RGB, I really like the fact that this keyboard has the programmable RGB lighting feature. When I am on a call, I have programmed my pause button to mute my microphone, and when I am muted, the whole keyboard lights up red, and when it is unmuted, it is green. It is very important to know when I am muted and when I am not, so that I am not interrupting the meeting if I am having a side conversation. The only downside that I can think of with this keyboard is that I don't know if I would like to have a keyboard that might quit on me while I am doing a demo to 50 users. That would be terrible, and I am a little concerned that the battery would die, and I would have to scramble to find a backup which would look a little amateurish. I am going to look into other options, but I am considering giving this keyboard a shot. Thanks again for the video review.
Can you do a video about the best smart light setup and or products? Anyway great video!
This is not just a wireless K55. The K57 has the full implication of the ICUE software that the K55 lacks. I returned my K55 to get it. I happen to like the rubber dome switches so that was not an issue for me.
Great review, and thank you for making me think about it a bit closer before buying. I personally prefer robber domes to the mechanicals ones but I can see why the majority of people prefer it the other way around. I love keys that give me plenty of feedback/resistance. For games I always map most keys, if not all, on the Num Pad side of the keyboard which is pretty unconventional. This increases the need for me to have high resistant at first, and with no resistance on follow through. Reds almost get there for me but not quite.
I need silent keyboard. To not Wake up people when gaming at night.
Love the vids man, keep up the hard work
Remember that the K57 is the first Wireless RGB keyboard. Sure there are some other ones out there but all of those are not even full. The fact that this is the first proper RGB wireless keyboard, puts it up there as one of the best keyboards out there. Also since this is the first proper RGB Wireless keyboard it makes sense for Corsair to come back to one of there older designs so that they have something to start with. Actually, the fact that they even added more technology to the keyboard is pretty impressive. So if I were to review this keyboard, I would definitely recommend it. And if you do buy it, in the future generations of Wireless RGB keyboards you can say that you bought the first one (once again, I mean that the other ones don't have the necessary keys to be qualified as an actual Wireless RGB keyboard). 😀 I also forgot to mention that the keyboard being membrane doesn't mean it's bad, actually membrane keyboards can be really good too, so the fact that it's not mechanical doesn't mean that it's bad so you shouldn't agree with one of the other comments because it's membrane because it fits more with the RGB lights. Actually when my birthday comes I'm definitely buying this keyboard unless they release another Wireless RGB keyboard.😎
K55 but: • Wireless • Single-Key RGB • Double Price
Facts
Also rubber dome lmao
K55 was such a good budget full board with multi media keys and they went and ruined a budget keyboard
@@2dark527 it's not mechanical though
@@nosse8073 never said it was I used the keyboard b4
The K55 only has 3 lighting zones, so it isn't the same. Also rubber dome is way quieter than mechanical switches which is a huge plus for me!
"too 2016" it's a 15yo girl review of a keyboard
I really like rubber dome switches. I have a heavier hand and the added resistance is nice. I've tried mechanical switches and I had quite a few misclicks. I would have liked to see this keyboard retail for more like 70-80 but they do go on sale pretty often. I got mine for 80 and I love it (though I also love the k55).
I have a K57, I'm typing on it right now at 12:02 A.M. It's hooked up through Bluetooth, lighting is on low (90% of the time Red), I can get approx. 100 hours or more out of it. I love it and think it suits me quite well. I've had it for approx. a year. It's great for a home PC/theatre set-up like I have and for entertainment. I've also gamed on it and I have no complaints what-so-ever. Bluetooth vs Slipstream doesn't seem to have any noticeable difference in latency and Bluetooth extends the battery life AMAZINGLY! I got it on Amazon for just over $70 w/ tax. A good purchase I must say! Paying anything over $80 for it is too far, I agree.
ended up getting one a gift i find to perfect to be use for my steaming pc and or my media pc i have in my living room. the Bluetooth settings work well for what this keyboard is
i love the extra space, specially on the spacing around function keys. please don't let them take away, is already hard to find one that isn't compact
I actually like this keyboard since it’s not too loud like it’s mechanical counterpart.
When I build my new PC in June after almost 20 years console gaming, I needed to pick a Keyboard as well. I choose the K57 for the following reasons. As I work from home and had limited space this Keyboard combined both worlds. I have the USB cable connected to my PC and the Wireles in my work Lap-Top, as I have my PC on during work (Netflix/YT..etc), there is no space for two Keyboards. Also I don't like the noise of the Mechanical keyboards (reminds me of the earlie 90's Compaq or Dell Keyboards), I was looking for a kind of hybrid with exchanging Key's if needed. This Keyboard fits my needs perfectly and I love it, I paid €95, which is roughly $110.
Is it that loud when typing? I'm looking got a wireless/Bluetooth keyboard that is quiet. What do u suggest? I'm using it for homework and I need it to b quiet so people won't be annoyed by my typing.
I'm more bummed out I cant use the programmable G Keys in wireless mode. When will that be a thing?
My 2021 Opinions: Pros: Looks nice (I don't need a metal keyboard) Key Height: I like it - mid key height I don't mind using though I typically prefer low profile Key Feel: This is very subjective but I really like the slight feedback, quiet (not silent) keys Corsair came up with. Intuitive, crisp yet non-clicky soft feel. Battery Life: Great 2.4Ghz, Bluetooth and Wired modes! Cons: The G1 Macro Key often gets hit when I am reaching for escape. I have several PCs and I only use this keyboard on one of them so I will probably never stop hitting it on accident 100% of the time. I don't really use macro keys at all and I would rather just not have them, especially on a wireless model. So far I've had issues controlling the RGB through Bluetooth which is the intended connection type. Overall I feel this Keyboard in 2021 is a good quality keyboard that gives you alot for the price. I use it for my multimedia front room pc, which I also use for gaming from the sofa, or when a visitor is over. My older of two sons uses this pc / keyboard extensively when he is here (around half the week). My Profile: 38 yr old Second Career Grad Student, Heavy Power PC user, Gaming of all but the very latest. Not a brand-loyal fan-boy.
Thanks for the review! Truly helped me make a much better decision.
Can I attach it to the iPad Pro (2017 model) by using the wireless USB dongle? (With a lightning to usb-A converter)? Will all assigned Macro keys and re-maped keys (on PC/MacOs) work fine on iPad? 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
unpopular opinion: I find membrane more satisfying when it comes to typing.
You two have lots of nerve saying that here
So, Im pretty new to PC gaming and I'm planning on building my PC soon. Sorry for the dumb question BUT are mechanical keyboards THAT important? with so many angry PC gamers, I'm kind of afraid to ask lol
@@javier5215 nah mechanicals are kinda overrated maybe go to a local store and feel the differnce its basically prefrence
i guess we have the same unpopular opinion then
Excellent review!! 😊
I'm really tempted by this keyboard, but you say it's too pricey for what it is, so what would recommend in it's place? Features I really like with it and 'require': the wireless, number pad, media controls, USB and BT connectivity. RGB and Macros are not important. Desire mechanical, but that seems to require a huge price tag if wanting the other features.
I got mine for $9..... Best $9 keyboard I've ever had.
Thanks!! I was deciding between it and the K55 if I go with the Corsair it will be the K55.
4:22 Glad to see someone using the mouse and keyboard I will be going for. Making the switch to full wireless and never expected to see the mouse and keyboard I want in the same video
Nooooooo dont
@@BobBob-yd2ub why not? The keyboards fine unless you want mechanical keys
Just got this keyboard today, the only thing i really miss from my old K68 is the MX switches. The thing i dislike most about the K57 is not even the rubberdomes or the build quality, it's actually those macro keys. Macro keys on the left side of the keyboard annoys me so badly, gotta get used to that again. Overall, i actually like the K57 so far, i just wish it didn't have the damn macro keys and i would gladly pay an extra 20€ for it to be mechanical. Here, it's 66% more expensive than the K55, not sure if that can really be considered good value, but my only requirements for a new keyboard was wireless + backlit keys and for that, it is quite nice. Decided on this keyboard after getting their Harpoon wireless mouse, which i've been really happy with so far.
I just got this keyboard it is the refurbished version and mine does not lift up on the frames nor does it scratch. I assume they altered it when they fixed it up. I like it though feels nice. : )
Wow this vid was super useful for me because I’m thinking about buying this
100 dollars for a membrane!?!? Redragon makes the kumara for 30 bucks and it's mechanical?? Edit thanks for the likes really appreciate it guys. Love your videos frank
yep, and there are other good sub 40$ ones if you don't want blues. i'm pretty sure kumara only comes in blue...
not wireless
@@JulianDaniel2003 yes, but when you can pay 3 times less and get mechanical keyboard with better built quality. is that wire truly so big of a deal?
specretys kumaracan be rgb
@@JulianDaniel2003 there are a few wireless mkbs out there for about the same price as these ones
I love that this isn't a mechanical keyboard! I can't stand the sound and feel of mechanical keys. I'm still gaming on a K800. Sadly the sound this Corsair makes is still awful. I will keep waiting for that perfect replacement for my K800.... a wireless, backlit (no RGB would be nice), full-sized non-mechanical keyboard that doesn't look like a 14yo designed it in his spare time.
Thank you. I'm a fan of the K800 too, used for many years, but they are extremely fragile. Had 2 of them, a nasty fall and it's a lot of damage to it. Also, for using on the lap (as I do on the couch), in time it'll start to bend. Gave up on buying them. I'm looking at the Azio KB506W seems similar, and if it's fragile, at least it's cheap, lol.
Amen! I totally agree with you, I tried mechanical blue, red, black, brown switches. Romer-G switches as well. But none of them are for me... I still prefer rubber dome or chiclet keyboard. No problem at all for me for gaming. In these days seems (from youtubers point of view) that people using robberdome are clowns.
@@lucapiombini4655 The thing is, there's way more switches than that, and you can get a custom board that has switches that are nearly silent. Zilents, for example, are extremely quiet and still tactile. I've heard lubed silent reds are good. Aliaz are also fairly quiet. And they generally last longer than rubber dome, on top of getting good feedback while typing.
Membrane beta fucking clown
Try the mx keys if you don't mind not having numpad
You gotta review the Rakk Lam-Ang Pro keyboard! It's almost half the price of this one and it has bluetooth capability, hot swappable switches/keycaps, and media keys!
Any reviews of it's durability? I heard it's lithium ion battery dies easily within 4 months to 2 years and it's not user replaceable. Your thoughts?
Are key caps removable? Lets say if I want to replace them with this key caps from corsair?
I have a K55 and it's not bad especially if you can get it on sale. $100 just for a wireless version is pretty absurd tough.
i got the corsair k70 lux keyboard on amazon (with cherry mx blue switches) for 59.99 british pounds best keyboard ever atleast compared to the k55 i had
BEST Review for this product.. thanks dude
If this is rubber dome switches then does it feel more like the Logitech K800? I dont like the feel of mechanical keyboard (bought a corsaid Strafe RGB MX silent) and the feel is not good. It hurts me fingers when used for a long time. I'm not a pro gamer at all and i only play Dota so im looking for a keyboard much like the K800. (K800 is out of stock for some time now in our country)
I know this is really late, but it also has per key lighting instead of 3 RGB zones
@randomfrankp Can you make the rgb lights static, not flickering and moving around, and also, can you make all keys one single color, like white, intead of rainbow?
Yes, you can
@@Flawless1223 I ended up purchasing the Logitech K800 which works perfectly but, thanks anyways for answering the question though
i think if corsair make the Wireless k63 keyboard White and RGB and boom you have a winner what do you think
Hey Corsair, why exactly didn't you release a K65 RGB wireless or a K63 RGB wireless or you know go the full way and crush the Logitech G915 with a K70 RGB MK3 wireless. Because of this for my next keyboard I'm looking towards another brand.
I just wish corsair would upgrade their wrist wrest. At least on their premium keyboards to something more like a Razer wrist wrest
Thats 1 of my reasons that I switched to razer
CAPELLIX rgb looks great! This feature needs to come to their regular mechanical keyboards!
You are the best random frank p you make my days 10 times better
RYFT_ Jaguar ❤️
Omg you replied!!!!!
Can you do a top 5 wireless keyboards in this price range?
I'm glad I saw this, I was about to buy a Logitech G915 but I was looking around because I have no experience with Logitech switches, my first mechanicals were Gahlil (sp) Brown in an Anne Pro 2, I don't dislike those but wanted to try Cherry MX either Red or White, I hear good things about both of those which is why I'm shopping around even though the Logitech is $60 off because they lost the Lightning USB receiver, which doesn't really matter to me as I would be using Bluetooth. I'm just a bit iffy because I've owned about 6 Logitech mouses (I hate saying mice for computer equipment, I've always said mouses to differentiate between animals and electronics. lol) but through the 2 MX Masters, the MX Master 2, the 2 Master MX 2s's and now I'm on a MX Master 3 I've seen a noticeable trend of them losing their left click life considerably over the years so have little faith in the durability of their keyboard switches, I know they're not close to the same things but still, I just feel Logitech getting cheaper all the time. I used to swear by Logitechs after leaving the MS Intellimouse pros buttons getting to low to the table, I do miss them, they were my first wireless mouses after using the wired Intellimouse with a ball until cleaning it did no more good, I used it to death, Unreal Tournament (The original) was hard on a mouse and by UT2004 I had my first Logitech MX Master, (I think it was that, Logitech anyway, first laser over plain optical, or vice versa. I'm old gimme a break, but long story short (I know, too late) I question Logitech's quality nowadays.
You can get RGB mechanical keyboards that have aluminum/metal frames for $50-75. You can sell software all you want but when it's on cheap material it doesn't make sense. Good honest review.
LOVE YOUR VIDEOS
i have the k95, and i really like it, i been wanting a wireless one that can do both bluetooth and 2.4, and i was hoping k57 was the answer, evidently not...sigh
Can you please let me know which Wireless keyboard has the breathing mode with one color so I can have red breathing only? I would also like to turn off sleep mode or at least one that shuts off after 5 min since i'm going to try to insert Qi in the charger port and have charger under my desk.
the rgb of the "F6" key came defective, it cannot illuminate some colors. When I put the keyboard in static mode with a single color, the "F6" key will most often be a different color from the others, due to this defect in its RGB led. (SOME COLORS THAT THE "F6" KEY CANNOT ACHIEVE: WHITE, YELLOW, PINK, ETC ..) There is a way to reset the keyboard settings. Can this problem be corrected?
Having mechanical keys would definitely have been nice, but I am getting this for production/design softwares. The specs that made this this best possible choice for me, vs all other keyboards at high and low price ranges, is that fact that it is wireless, can have RGB turned on and off, has 6 additional macro keys on the left, and most importantly can be completely reprogrammed as I see fit. This is huge deal for me, because it means I can take advantage of all the keys that I never use, and utilize them as macro keys for the softwares I use often, such as Rhino or perhaps photoshop. I get this review is centered around a gamers POV, but I thought I would comment in case there is someone else like me watching this, with the intent of using it for production perposes.
After nine months, how's it been? I'm also looking for a wireless keyboard around this one's price range, and this is the closest to what I want that I can find. For making music, I'd need a full-sized one and I'd prefer mechanical but that might not be a dealbreaker.
@Paul J. Morton Given that I don't use it for gaming, it's still near perfect for me as far as I'm concerned. As I said in the review, I planned to make use of all the keys on the keyboard that I don't usually use, which is exactly what I've done. I use all the macro keys, along with keys like the page up and insert keys to do specific tasks in my software. I like nice feeling keys from a good mechanical keyboard as well, but It's not that noticeable for me at this point, and it's "fake" mechanical keys are good enough for my use case. For your reference, I have been using this keyboard daily for probably 8+ hours in production software and general pc use. One other keyboard that looks to work better than this one for what I would want is the Rog claymore 2, though it's is several times more than this one. It has true mechanical keys as well, for reference.
@@ezekielflores2149 Thanks for the reply. This sounds pretty good then. I personally play games as well, but I already have a great wired mini keyboard for that. It's a Corsair keyboard, and I also have a Corsair mouse that I like a lot. For a full-size production keyboard I'd prefer another Corsair simply because I'm not comfortable installing multiple different control software (might impede computer performance during games).
Can you use coustom keycaps with rubberdome switches?
Can you use it with Elgato Stream Deck, Software?
How many keyboards do you need. Im struggeling to get one for myself :-/
Any1 know how to change the light colour on the keys on the Corsair k57 keyboard
What's a good keyboard to travel for with my samsung s5e tablet using Dex?
Not a bummer for me..I hate the way Cherry MX keys feel on the Strafe RGB that I have.

Yep, he is a good youtuber
i got this keyboard as a birthday present in fact im using it now (my bad grammar is not the keyboard's fault) i like it however i plan on upgrading soon and using this as just a backup
Hi. I rcently started doing reviews and I was wondering and if you had any tips for making my videos better. Thanks.
Im happy with my k55 tyvm no need for the same thing just double the price
i wanted this because it also has the num pad and also does bluetooth, the k63 has mech switches so why cant this one...
Review the Corsair 220T pls!
I've tried mechanical keyboards and they don't exactly do it for me because of the noise they produce I am perfectly fine with membrane keyboards but I do still want a wireless keyboard however sadly there aren't any good wireless membrane keyboards since the one reviewed in this video uses an obsolete form of bluetooth and charges with micro USB but I really hope that the market for membrane gaming keyboards doesn't die and stays in existence and I really hope that eventually companies make better wireless membrane keyboards for the people who still prefer the classic system for keyboards
Looks nice😍
Nice and short but still comprehensive !!!
what key board would you suggest that is corsair
I mean to compare Logitech wireless or wired K70 corsair with mechanical switches apart from look it made no difference for me (2016). Both got the job done I used them for. But yeah since ive built a living room gaming rig and have a kiddo yes quite rubber keyboard all day long :D Rather that than a keyboard with 4m cable
Mate I truly like what you do it's absolutely brilliant, but would you be kind enough to review mid tier products too? 😅 Can't afford alot of the things you post about. Cheers champ
almost bought this one to upgrade from a logitech k120. bought a kbdfans 75% instead. the corsair felt cheap.
K55 vs K57 what's your opinion 🤔
2:40 damn those were some lines rapgod
i bought a k70 rgb rapidfire mk.2 in white (special edition) for 108$ on amazon
I'm waiting for wireless to come to the k95, my favorite wired keyboard.
That would be a direct competition for the g915 from Logitech. Just got that and is great! Price is steep but got mine for a good price. I would like to see what Corsair does with a wireless k95 though. It’s past due.
@@Blaquegold Especially if you really only need one dongle and that doesn't inhibit the use of multiple peripherals. I have a G915 TKL and a 603 now, and I saw that I'll need a receiver for each, which isn't a problem for me at the moment, but it is something that can be improved on later.
Can anyone suggest a better wireless keyboard for couch/media PC usage? I care about battery life more than anything.
I really dont think that the price is that bad, Yeah the old k55 is 50 bucks but its not wireless or has as much options when it comes to rgb. Ill be getting this keyboard because i want something wireless and individual key lighting. Unless a mechanical one from corsair gets slipstream soon and isnt close to 200 dollars.
Dude can you do a new build soon
How many keyboards do you have by now?
Great video but for your next video can you review the razer blackwidow lite?
I have two laptops one work and one private, switching keyboard to type is super annoying. Perhaps this one can make my life easier?
Do they have any better ones out yet
why take off the wrapper on the top the the kb, id personally leave it there to keep it clean.
What is the make and model of this mouse?
Dongle just quit on me after I took it out to charge the keyboard, now I can't use the keyboard wirelessly. Just got it a couple hours ago...
This is perfect for me cause I dont want to wake my parents up since i sleep in the next room with drywall in between
Does anyone have problems with the number lock? I gotta click the number lock like 10 times and holding for the number pad to work
For being double the price of it's wired twin, it's not that much different. It's cool that it has single key RGB, but definitely could have made it mechanical. I own the K55 and paid $45 for it, so I love it for what it is, but would not upgrade to the K57.
i picked this up for the sole purpose of a mobile gaming laptop use i mainly use a mechanical KB on my home rig
hey frank have you ever had the need to enter your bioas uefi using cosair k83 if so how did you do it if any solution let me know thanks
I have this and use it. It is good enough.
So close yet so far! Was hoping to find a full mechanical wireless keyboard. only 2 exist to this day, and the one from the company I dug more can't even get the switches right.... and ASUS mean putting the cancer that is Armory crate on for a bit just to program the thing. Maybe the risk to take. I just want my K95 but wireless. Seems that's a fleeting dream since "wireless" seems to ultimately equate to either wanting something you can toss into a fanny-pack, or in this case, taking SOMTHING from the portable-esq side just because 🤢🤢
Plz check out the omen sequencer
Can I swap the key caps?
Let me use my good, old and QUITE membrane keyboard! I don't want your damn mechanical switches everywhere!
being a membrane fan is so easier with everything being less expensive
I don’t know if there’s a market for $100 membrane boards?
