Plouffe is someone you typically see using a highly customized keyboard, but it must be unique when you see him excited for something mainstream. The Logitech POP Keyboard and mouse are reasonably attractive in general but valuable for specific use cases.

    • I feel like it’s still a useful tool though. Like, it’s way more expensive than the K380, but, for example, I am looking at it because I want to get a wireless keyboard that can connect to a bunch of devices (namely my iPad, work Mac and any future laptop that I may buy for myself) while also being on the smaller and slightly portable side. I do agree that compared to the K380 it’s more on the lifestyle product than pure usefulness

  • A lot of people hating on this keyboard, people don't buy this keyboard for gaming. It's mostly used for educational, artistic, office and business purposses. I like that it's different from the cliche squared key caps and theyve decided to be innovative and fun with this design rather than alike everyone else. I would like if this had backlit keys but i enjoy this simplicity for what it is. The versetility with options to connect to and hold in place different devices which you did not show e.d phones and tablets is also what one ups this keyboard. A lot of mechanical keyboards you have shown and i have seen all over youtubers is the same old mechanical keyboard with the same capabilties nothing new, i like that this is more and this is different.

  • i just recieved my pop keyboard and I am loving it! The keys are actually quite soft and easy to type but it is definitely higher than the usual square keypads that we are using. I actually dont use the emoji functions but I customised the keys settings for the emoji buttons to functions instead eg. lock, page down/up, calculator, change language; not sure if this works for tablet as I am connecting the keyboard and mouse to my computer & laptop. There is also other options to customise the other F keys to other functions or direct to other applications. Same goes for the mouse there are some shortcuts to change the settings according to my own preference. There is a small pouch given which is included in the box to store the extra 4 emoiji keycaps so that I can store away safely. It is also cool for to switch devices with the keyboard which allows multiple and easy switch to 3 devices. At first I was not use to typing on round circular caps but I got use to it after using for a few rounds. The colour combination of the keyboards is great as well. I got mine in daydream mint.

  • I have their Pebl mouse which is what that pop mouse reminds me of. The magnet sucks but I think that increases durability, since the KE gets transferred into the top protecting the body. Since I dropped that mouse like a hundred times and it looks brand new. I also tried the circle keys since we still had a typewriter growing up. They're not good, even if short throw.

If Plouffe want some streetcred in r/mk, maybe consider desoldering and customizing the board? • The battery life on logitech keyboards is so damn good that I dont even mind them not being rechargable

    @RisingRevengeance@RisingRevengeance2 жыл бұрын
    • Agreed, as I have the K480, and the universal tablet folio for my Android tablet/phone, along with a few others, and some of their wireless mice, and, the battery life has been great, plus I'd rather just buy my own rechargable batteries(CR2032coin cells in the case of the folio) instead of having a sealed battery pack that could go bad in a few years, and risk not being able to replace it. Also another benefit of them going with standard batteries is that in the long run it reduces e-waste as people don't end up throwing the whole product out due to a battery they can't replace. More companies could be taking lessions from them on all kinds of products by using more common easy to replace battery standards.

I'm digging the colourways and keycaps! • 06:34 - Just to put that typing test in to perspective, most people type at around 40-50 words per minute, people who work with keyboards a lot will get around 60, and the higher bracket of those people will get about 75. People in professional typing positions will need to get around 80-90+, and then anyone around the 120 is considered a super fast typer. So for this guy to hit 114 with 97% accuracy on a keyboard hes just testing is pretty damn good.

There is no real neat solution to this other than a special receiver that just has two radios, which would probably make it larger than the nano size receivers. Then again, why would they sell a BLE receiver when every other wifi chipset already supports it and USB dongles are readily available.
