Honestly, i want to hear more videos about the stuff you use personally over stuff that is just new and cool. long term reliability is a big factor for any purchase for me.
i want to hear a better mic
In LTT's latest video "My PC keeps turning off...", it shows the Logitech G915 TKL on Linus' desk while Anthony is looking inside the desk PC. So it seems like Linus HAS been using this keyboard ever since. Side note, I've been using mine since November 2020 and it is still working perfectly fine. Only annoying thing is the Micro-USB port for charging and updates, but that was obviously there from the start.
for anyone
Preach!
I'm going to be 100% honest, I bought this keyboard a little over 7 months ago, and from the 7 months I've used it. It's hands down THE best keyboard I have ever used. I charge my Keyboard literally once every week, week and a half? The batter life on it is amazing, the feedback feels amazing, and all the bells and whistles that come with it too. Even if down the road this keyboard breaks on me, I'll probably just end up getting another one.
What key type did you get?
You still using it?
yeah i fucking love it. getting 200 wpm pretty regularly on monkey type
in terms of audio quality, we have no audio quality
yeah what the hell happened here?
lol, maybe they were forced to use the camera mic
The music is way too loud too.
Sounds like they put it through a filter by accident. Was it clipping the whole time?
It sounds like they used the camera mic, which was recording too hot, and had to use a filter/noise reduction to minimize the noise and clipping. It sounds atrocious, but it's nothing permanent.

8:17 "This is not your typical laptop keyboard" Linus broke the illusion
3:25 That is incorrect, you cannot use one dongle for multiple Lightspeed devices. You can only do that with the regular Logitech unifying receivers. Lightspeed devices are unique and can only operate using the same USB dongle it comes with.
thats a really sad fact i hope they change that in the future

I just got this keyboard over a week ago. Truely an amazing keyboard so far. It is premium looking and incredibly thin. I got the clicky version, it is not loud at all. The click sound provides a great feedback and is pretty satisfying. And it doesn't have issue like a lot of other RGB keyboards -- RGB light leaking out from the gap of the keys. I also find the volume wheel very useful. So far, a great purchase.

Logitech also probably uses the stencil painted keycaps still too that will fade, thats the whole reason I switched from their last gen pro tkl
@@EthanCGamer what a dumb statement
I opted for the full size clicky myself. I find myself wishing my keyboard tray was slightly wider, but other than that I love it. The funny thing is that even though I went for clicky switches, the low profile actually ends up making them make less overall noise than my cherry reds did before because I was so clacky.
I also recently moved from a Corsair to a regular g915 (the bigger one with a numpad) as well, and i'm really loving it too. Great typing, great color for the rgb, and very good battery life (i charged it like once a week and i use it more than 8 hours a day), i don't use max brightness though, since it would kill it sooner.

been using this keyboard for over a year now and have had absolutely zero issues with it, the wireless works shockingly well & the battery life is still great, the lights are super vibrant & the interface to customize the lighting effects is easy to understand. using this wireless is barely any different from using it wired & i love that its clicky without sounding squeaky or anything like that. lets just say this is definitely worth the price, it works really well & just overall feels very expensive & made to last. i used to love switching out keyboards & buying new keyboards like every few months and ever since ive gotten this one ive honestly just stuck with it & havent had any regrets. yes ive gotten pissed and wacked it like 3 or 4 times in my total time of owning it and yes this thing is pretty damn indestructible lol so i myself cannot relate to the comment before mine at all, i'd actually totally recommend this keyboard

I plug and unplug my headphones several times to realize that it was the video audio.
3:30 - Nope, you can connect only one device to single lightspeed dongle due to bandwidth/latency limitations.

If you are looking at getting the white version of this keyboard, it's good to note that the lighting will have to go through transparent black legend instead of the clear legend on the black version. That said the white has black for the legend when the lighting is off so you don't have to use the lighting to see the legend on the keycaps. I'm loving the white over the black a lot more because the lighting does shine brighter on the edges of the keycaps.

I did buy a wrist rest eventually, and g-hub software had some major issue at the beginning but seems to be improved. The switches are loud...much to my wife's 'joy' The thin profile really is amazing for a mechanical keyboard
I got to try all the top brand keyboards and different types of keys, the G15 Tactile kept having me come back over and over. Its just such a good feeling, the click isint loud but its satisfying. I bit the bullet and left my G910 wired (finally) and got the 915 TKL today. For gaming it's been great with a short learning curve, but for typing or programming it's WOW excellent. I'm making a lot fewer typos - just a good balance of throw and actuation. My bank account isint going to forgive me though and that micro USB (face palm). The keyboard can be plugged in USB and work wired but the LIGHTSPEED wireless is so power efficient and fast, with that battery life - wow.
Immediately searched for a version that includes the numpad. Now I must have the G915.
I’ve had the G915 for just over a month and I still haven’t had to charge it, although I disabled the lighting to maximize the battery life. Paired with a G pro wireless I think this is the absolute best keyboard and mouse combo you can buy right now.

I always loved low profile keyboards. I tend to punch my keys a big while typing, and I like how fast laptop keyboards bottomed out. I had been using an iMac keyboard on my PC for a while which... came with some sacrifices, not the least of which that those key caps tend to break pretty easily. I tried out the G813 in a best buy and wow I didn't really get the appeal of mechanical keyboards until I tried that one. A roommate let me try out his board with cherry blues once, and it didn't feel much different/better to me at the time. But the G813 was so good I just had to have it.

2:21 The switches in this board are not engineered by Logitech, they’re a rebranding of Kailh Choc switches which have been around for 3 years.
Andrew is correct. If you pull off the top of the key cap it shows kailh branding. Kailh is a competitor to Cherry keys. Cherry requires their branding to be called out on boxes, but also it helps sell. Kailh doesn't require branding to be called out, but also supplies it's switches to many different gaming keyboard companies around. You'd be surprised how many gaming companies use the same suppliers and manufacturers
They aren't just rebrandings, they have a bit less travel. The stem is also slightly modified so you can't slap aftermarket caps onto the Logitech Chocs. Not that there are that many Choc aftermarket caps anyways, but wouldn't hurt if they kept the caps the same.

i bought the full size version last week (came from a logitech G910 with romer G switches) and the keyboard just feels absolutely amazing. if you have 200 bucks to spend on a keyboard, i highly recommend it.
I'm using this keyboard for 3 years now and only minor complains I had with it are: - microUSB port instead of Type-C (was mentioned in the video) - missing paint on most used buttons (damn you, WASD) - price is a little bit high imo Still, to this day this is my favourite keyboard.
Linus : their bots, they're harmless Linus dies and looses to bots Linus : uhh... its because of the keyboard
When he said: I guess the engineers at Logitech haven’t heard of a laptop! I burst out laughing, it’s 1:30am Linus, your lucky my parents didn’t hear me
