@RTX3090 owner Fanatecs aren't by any means kids toys, they're easily the highest end manufacturer in the relatively "mainstream" arena, but I will say that me and my friends have not yet had a single piece of Fanatec gear work flawlessly, they've always had larger or smaller issues with them. Some are annoyances (like have to keep jiggling a USB plug to make sure it's absolutely perfectly in) while others have been showstoppers (like shifters just failing, giving random outputs). This includes CSW v1.5 and 2.5 wheelbases, CSR-E wheelbases, universal hub rim adapters, CSP and CSL Elite pedals, shifters, and I'm probably forgetting something. Usually seems to have something to do with EMI or grounding issues, always electric rather than mechanical FWIW. I personally still have a Logitech G25 that has been with me for about 13 years, BUT it is my 3rd one, had to RMA the first 2 in fairly short order (paddle shifters got contact issues in the 1st one and the H-gate shifter has issues in the 2nd one), the 3rd one has been super reliable though. Oh, and one of my friends' G27 had that issue where the optical encoding disc cracks and gets loose on the steering shaft, meaning the center point wanders all over the place, though that was quickly sorted with glue. They also sell aftermarket brass ones for that, it's a fairly common issue... (I'm also on my 3rd wireless G502 mouse, first two developed double clicking issues...) My main atm. is an ooold old T500 RS, and so far at least, anecdotally, I (and my friends) have had better off the shelf success with TM than with any of the other options. Knock on wood, across 3 sets of wheels and pedals, several different rims and half a dozen shifters no-one has had an issue yet. For me dealing with Logitech's customer service hasn't been an issue, since I live in a country where the store has to take care of that stuff, I just return a faulty product and that's that. Fanatec's customer support hasn't been kind to my friends (long wait times, lack of responses, not fixing or replacing stuff with documented issues on video), though other people praise them, so I guess it varies a lot. And TM... Well I haven't had to deal with TM's customer service yet, stuff has just worked so far. But TM is the smallest sample size we have yet, and even then it'd be handled like with Logitech, i.e. via the store. Nothing is ever foolproof, all manufacturers carry a risk with them, it's just about whether you get lucky or not and what kind of service you get afterwards. Logitech sells an insane amount of gear, and the vast majority of units work just fine, but there are enough duds that you get a lot of angry people on the internet. But the likely 90+% of people never having issues don't really make a noise either, so you just get to hear one side of the story.
It was the Omron 50m having double-click issues, not nearly as prevalent on the Omron 20m, which the Superlight is reported to have a variant of installed in them. It is also due to undervolting, not overvolting.
Logitech G series mice are my favorite, the sensor and ergo’s perfect for my use case. BUT it’s the durability of their buttons that’s the problem. I have tons of fairly new discarded double-clicking ones, not sure if its by design coz they don’t last as good as the rest of the product.
you dont have to throw away the mouse just give it to a tv technician or someone that works on PCB to change the switches or do it yourself it's really easy
To answer the powerplay question: I use it and LOVE it. I have the mousepad act as the receiver for my desktop, then have the USB receiver that came with the mouse in my laptop so I can pick up the mouse and take it with me, and have it just work without worrying about forgetting the receiver and never worrying about battery life. Made a big difference when I was going to and from university.

thank you for mentioning the double click problem. i was considering this for my next mouse, but my g703 is double clicking since the first week of use, and no way i'm gonna deal with this again, ever(if anyone cares, i set up a autohotkey that blocks the second click, if you're having issues)

5:34 as a long time G pro user, the grips are a necessity and they do not get gross for a very long time but you may want to clean it carefully, the weight change is great and the amount of hyperglide that they put on the bottom is amazing

@@stankbuddha not a scam, it will eventually happen to every mouse you own. It's the biggest problem with mechanical switches, they are destined to wear and double click. It's why there's a pretty decent sized growth towards optical switches. Razer, Coolermaster, Roccat are all developing optical switches for this reason.

I use PowerPlay at home (Windows) and at work (with MacBook Pro), love it. The new Logitech GHUB is also available on Mac now, so it has better support.
I use it! I haven’t pluged my g903 in since I bought it over a year ago. It’s still extremely solid!

Only if you are wanting to spend 130 dollars for a mousepad, plus these mice easily last for weeks after a full charge. I’d rather see USB-C with fast charging over powerplay.

@@Niels_f2704 The duration of the battery is actually ridiculous. Red light comes on so early I have literally time to schedule my charging to low intensity hours days later. I'm on 77% right now and I already forgot when I charged it last time. I don't think this convenience is worth $130.

it seems the issue with the omron switches found in the newer gaming mice from Logitech are being extremely "undervolted" which is causing the double click/ click-drag issues. The omron switchss used in the Logitech gaming mice are spec'd at 5 volts 0.7mA to 1mA. this worked for a while since the brains of the mouse were working with 5V. But now days the newer mice are using like. 3.3v at 0.08mA...? from what ive seen, you can purchase the proper switches, still made from Omron, for pretty cheap. its just sad peeps are spending $150 for a mouse that immediately needs repair to last any longer than a few months. i think i heard you say they were "overvolting" the switches. That peaked my interest. so ive been checking it out for the last hour or so :)- Please correct me if im wrong! this stuff is cool. i like learning about this kind of stuff.
Powerplay is a must have. I use g703 and have a desk pad over it and have never had issues. I can't go back.

viper ultimate with the stand is nice.. did need a bit getting used to from g502.. still no going back lightweight wireless is just so nice to use.. and no battery changes or plugging in required.. recommended

I think the viper ultimate is better in those departments but to be fair it’s clicks are kinda lame ( I think this is corrected on the viper mini which I hope gets wireless soon ) but preference is first when picking a mouse

I just sold my Powerplay pad, used for a year. Don't miss it tbh, you can just attach a magnetic adapter and charging is seemless. I have a battery % indicator on my Streamdeck, so this helps keeping track.
Nice early review, not seen him a lot but he does this well. I liked the way he did R6S too btw, looked like he does play it often. And I also recognized the "I just shot 2 bullets from my 17 bullet magazine, better reload" tactic haha

I had the double click issue with my G502 lightspeed 6 months into having it. My previous G900 also had it after a couple of years. They should really get that fixed.
I'm looking at the Pro X Superlight on Logitech's website and it looks like it does support Powerplay. And yes I do use it with the Pro Wireless and wouldn't go back to wired or other wireless mouse that you have to charge.
If you happen to have Problems with the scroll wheel of the G Pro, there is a new firmware you can download to fix it! It doesn't update it in the Software, you have to download it yourself. Its on the Drivers Page from Logitech, Version 15.2.26 it fixed it for me! How is the battery life to the GPro Superlight? Did they cut it down for weight savings?
I love my power play. My best friend bought one too after trying mine. Also: the power play has the mouse receiver built in so your mouse is only inches away from the mouse.

I really liked my Logitech mouse, but I got through about 3 in the space of 6 months because the switches kept failing so I've had to switch to Razer now
But.. they replace the mice for free? I know the downtime isn’t great, but you can also repair it for yourself, and many people like the changed clicks (Kailh GM 4.0 fans are out there) a lot more than the stock ones, it’s not like you were FORCED to switch, y’know.

Admittedly they did replace it, but I shouldn't have to go through the effort of getting it repeatedly replaced or fixing it myself when it should just work out of the box. The Razer was overpriced imo but it's been reliable.

I have got 2 logitech g pro wireless, none of them have hade any issues with double clicking.
Went to a Viper Ultimate after 3 double click RMAs for my G703. Until Logitech addresses their reliability issues I'm not touching another of their mice.
Went from the Normal G Pro to the Razer Wireless one, fits so much better in my Hand. Still use the G Pro for work though.
My G502 wireless had the double click issue :( Ended up putting Kailh switches on there myself, no regrets. Love Logitech mice, shame about the switch issues

It's wireless though so it's not a big deal? Usb c is expensive and it doesn't really make sense on the mouse side of the cable
but you would use the included cable with wings anyway so it won't snap the connector so you would still need to carry an extra cable that doesn't plug into anything else...

For the price I think it's very much worth considering basically every other option on the market first, then coming back to this if it's what you really need. Model O is far cheaper with better features, viper ultimate offers a dock, optical switches, and (IMO) better software by a mile, Pwnage ultra custom has 2 different wireless shapes now as well. If none of those fit for you then the superlight is fine, it's just so damn expensive.

I use powerplay but every now and then my left click has to be held down for about a second to register the click and this doesn't go away for hours so I plug it in to play games because it's so frustrating having to hide and pause to plug it in mid-game. (g903 works fine wired and normally connected via lightspeed dongle, only an issue with powerplay mousepad)
I've with with Razer for many years now. I still have the original Naga. But powerplay really peaked my interest also a 70% keyboard. I switched everything, I'm not sure if ill ever go back to Razer. Also powerplay is so amazing I love it.

@@leonro I have not, but if you do not take it everywhere you go, you do not notice the wire, since it is braided. I will say though, with the weights in it, the 502 WILL wear out the glide pads pretty quick. I need to get some for mine.
@@leonro I went from G502 Proteus Core to G502 Lightspeed. The freedom of movement is very much noticeable if you use very low sensitivity and move your mouse a lot. I only put 4 weights in the center as the extra two for the rear make it unbalanced. Polling rate is set to 500Hz instead of 1000Hz to get 50% more battery life so that one charge lasts for about 1-2 weeks for my use.
@@leonro I have the wireless G502, it feels great, the lack of wire is a bless, there's a lot more movement and the use for it is highly adaptable. I'll still to get a powerplay pad, but the battery lasts 2 to 3 weeks in moderate use. For those who haven't tried bigger, heavier mice, it might be worth it if you notice some discomfort or pain in your hands.
@@Celician83 My Proteus Core still doesn't need new glide pads after 6 years of heavy use with all weights installed. Maybe you're putting a lot of pressure on your mouse or your mousepad is more abrasive than mine (Steelseries QcK, QcK+).

I am the same as you i like a heavier mouse i have both the G502 and the G502 lightspeed(wireless) i kindof wish that they kept the lightspeed the same build quality and weight but they decided to make it lighter but it is fine i use it for my laptop the the wired one for my desktop. I also like having all the buttons i use them all the time
I was like you before, feeling that heavier mouse gives you more control. I switched to a lighter mouse (G403, 88g) then a lightweight mouse (Aerox 3, 66g) and boy, was I wrong back then. Like if I wanted to use my old G502 again, that would be painful

A year late. But I use power play!! With a 502 light speed and 915 TKL Lightspeed baby!! Love!
Although I loved the original G Pro... I’m moving on to the Model O wireless! 🙌🏽

Yes, a blonde kid destroyed it but he missed a single cell, and the mouse rebuilt itself even stronger.
POWERPLAY IS GREAT, I just wish they had a bigger mouse pad, or a way to put a mouse pad over it with the same height as the charging area
im using power play and its very nice having wireless "no-battery" freedom. That being said my favorite mouse is the g600 which is not powerplay compatible. Part of me wants to just go back to the g600 but the "sunk cost fallacy" won't let me get rid of my wireless equipment.
The G pro series are great in every way except for the mouse clicks, I've had my 903 replaced 4 times for double click and hold down response issues. Gonna mod it by replacing them with better switches to do Logitech's job for them.
Just an fyi, at least in gpw batches 2028 and later they have changed the switches that come pre-installed from 50M -C variant to a 20M which, supposedly, doesn’t fail as fast, and I believe this new one gets the same treatment, others are probably to follow soon, if not already.

i just bought a G903. Even though I didn't have any double-click issue, the scroll wheel is a bit wobbly to the side. Do you have the same issue? Coming from a G502 I find this really annoying.
@@GaAnRu I believe it's because of the side scroll buttons and that the scroll wheel of the G903 is much lighter than the G502.

My laptop doesn't support any micro USB whatsoever. Is there anything I can do like which adapter should I get to allow the Pro X super light usb to work with me ?
@@sharifhaque99 the wireless dongle is USB A. So if your laptop only has USB C, you’ll need an adapter. The mouse has a micro-USB port and included a USB A to micro-USB cable.

Personally, I'm actually okay with that. I've found USB C to be the USB port to last the shortest time out of all of them.
Partially it's because part of the draw of the first set of "G Pro" products were the removeable cables, so that eSports stadiums, training rooms and gaming houses could just leave the cables in place and players would just plug in their KB/Mouse when the got to a computer. Now they have to continue that backwards compatibility. I'd also like to point out the plastic stabilizer pins on either side already prevent the micro-B from being put in the wrong way.

I'm thinking like yeah my mouse is pretty light, 80g sounds heavy. But then I look it up and mine is 130g (+ it's wired).
i had a 121g and now i have the normal g pro wireless and 80g feels wayyy too light rn as im not yet used to it
The super light is power play compatible, according to Logitech's website. Yes, I use power play, and it really is amazing.
Wait they removed the optional right side side buttons? On my G Pro wireless I have the left side mouse buttons and right installed at the same time for extra binds but it’s absent here? I don’t think that’s worth it for weight reduction
Will logitech sell the extra glide puck separately? It should be compatible on all their lightspeed mice since the puck is the same across the board
11:00 The reason why you "feel the texture of the table" a lot more is because the material the mouse feet is made out of is entirely different. The black ones found on the original GPW are teflon, while the white ones found on the GPW Superlight are 100% PTFE. Which are objectively the go-to for durable and quality mouse feet. Also it doesn't have to be a pure 100%, but the 100% just makes people feel better. I think the surface area of the mouse feet making a big difference could be a gimmick, as it really comes down to the quality and placement of the mouse feet.
Teflon is a brand, it is PTFE. As discussed, those larger area with said material made the difference.

Hey I'm using power play it's freaking amazing. And of course because I'm Canadian I had to pay an arm and an leg for it but it's absolutely worth it by far the best solution on the market

Powerplay user chiming in! I love that thing, it’s gonna take a lot to tear me away from my G Pro and Powerplay. (Double click problems almost killed the G Pro for me but higher polling rate updates fixed it👍)
I've been using a powerplay since 2017 and I haven't ONCE plugged a mouse in to charge it. tl;dr : it's awesome.
