Watching Roy Jones jr box is literal poetry in motion
*Figurative poetry in motion
@@SKa-tt9nmyou know how literal is used these days, it’s an amplifying adjective
omfg all I want is more Roy Jones Jr fights on youtube I think ive watched every single one of his fights on youtube 5x
@April2520 .. . .
Studied Roy Jones for years
I feel the same way bro! Dude was complete in his craft. Absolutely amazing!
He was the GOAT for Damn Sure in his Prime, He just got alot of criticism because he didn't fight REAL WORTHY OPPONENTS. BUT HE WAS THE BEST
I’m going down the rabbit hole right now lol
I'll never get tired of watching Roy Jones Jr.
Definitely not. The best ever as far as I'm concerned.
Me neither,poetry in motion
@@TheLionaaa your concern doesn’t mean much then.
@@ppvplug3940 It definitely means more than yours because I know boxing more than you do.
@@TheLionaaa I train more in a month than you’ve trained your whole life.
Roy Jones Jr was just on a different level in this fight. These guys gave the funs value for what they paid for. A great one.
Couldn't agree more
@@wowapalooza kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
#!!
😊
I love how Roy moves his head and counters, he has a counter for every punch
It’s crazy looking back at Roy in his prime, you could see the flaws even back then but the KO’s were so spectacular we ignored it
Roy’s athleticism is just simply amazing.
U said it all.
@@FcxSoccer P
True
Totally agree.
Because he was juiced up
RIP. Julio Cesar Gonzalez
Roy was amazing.. Respect to Gonazalez.. Most would never have recovered from effect of that kind of speed and power. R.I.P. March 10, 2012
I didn't know he passed away. RIP to Julio Cesar Gonzalez
I hadn’t seen Gonzalez fight before but the man has courage, heart, a chin, he was in shape and came to fight. Much respect to Julio. He was just overmatched. At 32 Roy was still a thing of boxing beauty. Roy was strictly a counter puncher all his career and if he had been willing to jump on Julio, he could have ended it in 6 at most.
2:53 Steven Seagal on the right lol wtf
This man's hooks were faster than opponents Jabs🤯
from distance too lol that speed is just nuts
Sorry to disappoint you but I don't even watch the Olympics no more. - RJJ. Suck it Olympics for robbing one of the greatest boxer of all time.
We should all do the same.
Anyone know what best opponents other than james tony jones had?

Roy is the greatest fighter of all time. No question.
Er no
Greatest boxer maybe but not fighter, for me a fighter is someone that has the will to keep going and have tremendous heart *not saying that toy doesn’t* for example manny Pac-Man
@@famousanthonyyy8665 Just because Pacman gets hit a lot and keeps coming doesn't make him more of a fighter or warrior. People glamorize taking punches like it's being a true warrior but to hit and damage your opponent while remaining untouched is true mastery
@@joshuajarod1909 I agree with you 100% about the art of damaging you’re opponent while remaining untouched but I was just giving an example brother, but manny is a true fighter for what he accomplished with his life.
100% facts amen and God bless you 🙏🏽👊🏽
Prime Roy right here loved the nineties watching prime Jordan and prime Roy...legendary era ..
At the beginning of round 8 you can see me standing up yelling in a blue shirt.
Nice shirt 👕
@@jonnytest2348 it was back then
Nice 👌

I saw you bro ,lol.
If Roy retired after winning the Heavyweight title he goes down as the greatest or for sure top 3. Sugar ray Robinson, Ali then Roy. I still have him up there. Then Sweet P Pernell Whittaker , Aaron Pryor, James Toney.
Sometimes he seems to be exhausted but suddenly he throw combinations that's why I love to watch his fights He is a boxer and also entertainer in the ring His name is ROY JONES JR ❤🇹🇿🇺🇸
Commentators: "boy is he quick" and "boy does he have heart" pretty much all they said
GREAT !!! Please more Roy Jones fights !!!
NO ONE IS LIKE Roy Jones Jr.
No one
Julio Gonzales just 2 years later became the 1st guy to beat WBO Champ Darius Michalchewski
I love the check hook as someone is coming in, it’s such a clean technique yo
Looks to me like Roy Jones Jr. chose not to knock him out, being more mature and compassionate. Definitely one of the all time greats!
you dont choose not to knockout someone, that comment shows you've never been in a fight. he simply couldn't that night. does that mean roy jones jr wasn't the best ever in his prime? no. roy jones jr was the goat in his prime but even a goat can't knock out everyone
@@emdfit9842 He doesn't have to be a boxer to talk about boxing. Even probably you aren't a top elite pro boxer, so don't be rude. And yes Roy Jones is not a big puncher, he is a smart and intelligent boxer. And don't get me wrong he has good punching power.
@@emdfit9842 yes you do, there’s many cases of where the boxer didn’t ko their opponent out of respect, such as sugar ray robinson vs Henry Armstrong
How many times did Pac hold off on hurting people worse than was necessary. Many respectable boxers pull their punches when they know they are clearly under matched or noticeably outclassing an opponent. Everyone deserves to go home to their family in good health.
@@emdfit9842heard of pulling punches?
A fighter so great he never even needed a jab. Coupled with the fact that when he DID jab it was the fastest I ever saw. Roy Jones Jr.
We all know Roy Jones was great but give it up for Gonzalez. I never seen this fight but he's a true warrior.
Roy Jones Jr is one hell of an out boxer
Sometimes I just felt sorry for Roy's opponents.
THERE HAS BEEN NO SPECTACULAR BOXER SINCE ROY BLESSED THE SQUARE CIRCLE.
Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, George Foreman, Roy Jones, Jr., Larry Holmes, Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvelous Marvin Hagler, Hit man Tommy Hearns, Just to name a few.

Julio Gonzalez looks like he could be Zurdo Ramirez's daddy

@@2roly2 defending your title 23 times doesn't mean you are superior at fighting man didn't even fight Bernard Hopkins in his prime and acted like he was king lol Roy Jones in his prime would fk him up so bad no one would know Joe
Roy jones a 🐐
Despite the fact that gonza is a good fighter he was Lucy to have completed 12rounds Jones you're great
He was Lucy??
Yes Lucy also went the full 12 rounds win Jones
In the early part of his career it was like Jones had a microchip implanted into all of his opponents that fed directly into his brain what the person was thinking. What punch he was going to throw at what time. which direction he was going to move his head and body. It looked unfair to put him in the ring with anybody. The man was unreal.
{looks at Julio Cesar Gonzalez} When you are 27-0 and have no chance...
Lmao i felt bad for dude but man he showed hella heart.
Roy had a iron chin in his prime ...he was the most electrifying fighter in his gen he dominated #Yallmustveforgot Top 10 🐐
Tarver knocks out Jones in his prime
@@tom11zz884 Actually Tarver lost the first fight then begged for a rematch 😂 But yeah roy was 15 years in his "Prime" but yeah Tarver got a KO. 👍 Not to mention the weight loss and Tarver begging him to come down in weight. Instead of moving up.
Roy doesn’t even put his hands up lol. All just raw athleticism and great head movement.
Roy has the speed of a welterweight and is a light heavyweight. Insane
Roy jone jr never die good job
I never forgot ✊🏻
This guy can't quit.
Got to give it up to Gonzalez R.I.P his balls weighed 10 pounds each fighting this phenomenon and fought to the fight ended.
Roy Jones Jr is the Goat, and he’s the complete boxer hands down has it all speed and power and defense, and can’t forget footwork and oh yeah fight iq
Roy is way to fast for this guy. I get the feeling Roy can put him away anytime he wants
talent wise ? Goat
Captain hook is a incredible athlete.
What's the deal with the whistling and booing? It's annoying as hell.
Best I even seen
🤯🤯🤯 Are you kidding me It's only The first around And He already dropped Julio Just How Good Is Roy
17:40 look at the camera man's smile
Make it look easy..goat
😂jamás quisiera pelear con alguien con esas habilidades de Roy jone jr uno de mis favoritos de todos los tiempos 😂
The first half was great, but the last 5 rounds or so when boring as hell, Jones didn't do anything else but wait for Gonzalez to throw so he could counter big, and Gonzales didn't throw cuz he was scared of being countered 🤣
perhaps roy is one of them fighters that can deal damage without making his hits vissually appear impactful, but can hurt, considering at least the second occurence of knockdown and how julio was keeping his head down at times in the fight, such as during exchanges. however, julio was something of crouched in round one while exchanging heavily, but he ultimately came out of that right then and there... with his own most powerful looking barage of punches in return, anyways huh....
First mexican semi completo champion ..julio cesar gonzales
Prime Roy jones is pound for pound a top 10 fighter ALL TIME
Nah,he fought bums mostly
@@LanceG007 James Toney was a Bum?, Bernard Hopkins was a Bum?... everyone of Roy Jones other fighters were all top 5 ranked fighters in their weight class...its not his fault he was was so much superior to his opposition during his prime....Larry Holmes suffered the same problem...but students of boxing know better
Rip Julio🥊🥊🥊
good job for both
Amen ✊🏾
12:46 I've never seen a referee do that before they weren't even in a clinch...
I think it was because of Gonzalez's headbutt.
1:29 Rd 1 | 3:00 knockdown punch 4:03 combo | 4:16 combo 4:37 slow mo knockdown 4:58 Rd 2 | 5:28 clean left
thanks!!
Рой давно закончил бы бой, но он делает как он хочет. Кроме физики, он очень хорошо думает в ринге.
I like this fight
He still excellent as he always been
You do know this was 20 years ago right ?
@@vinceventura4453 yes sir. I was 12 or 13. He was the best back then.
My legend...
My Legend too 🥊
- Oh my god, какой нокаут в 1 раунде.
En que año fue esa pelea?
Don't understand why Roy had such bad rope defence. He would just stand straight up and let the full force of his opponents blows hit him on the arms and gloves. No movement or deflection. You can see his head and body shudder through the gloves. This would come back to haunt him later in his career. Guys like Floyd, Ali, and Bivol could lay on the ropes all day and have there opponents waste all there energy.
Won every round without throwing a Jab Pure lead left hooks & lead Rights all night
Roy was supernatural
This man just evading punches like nothing. I would have loved to see Roy vs Floyd lmao
Floyd vs a prime roy? Nooooo
Awsome
King Roy Jones Junior, for me he´s the GOAT, in private life, personally and as a Boxer.
Jesus Christ is the only begotten son of God ✊🏾
No one , I mean no one beats a PRIME ROY JONES JNR. don't care about any other opinion. Can't change my mind. He was unreal in his prime.
Don't understand the booing. RJJ fought his fight & scored 3 excellent knockdowns
I saw this guy in sanark new jersey
Jones did great in this fight but how good was he here compared to his prime 1 to 10 ? Let’s say when he fought James toney or Bernard Hopkins
This fight contain huging more than airport !
Gonzalez was an Olympian & he went on to fight in 4 more World title fights, taking the Lineal off the bogeyman Michalczewski ... IN GERMANY ! Roy just made em look like nobodies.
If you look pay attention roy and floyde have a very similar fighting style
Roy was a great fighter
The man
Just waaay too fast.
He's just Amazing.
Jones was small at light heavyweight.Naturally smaller. He did what he had to.To protect himself. As we saw later. He got seriously hurt and KO'D twice. If u never boxed. You wont understand.
this jus daddened me roy was jus t on a whole diff level and guys took a whoopin i thought to myself ref f call it off but the guy id fight back to be fare
