Lyrics:
Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
Dance me through the panic 'til I'm gathered safely in
Lift me like an olive branch and be my homeward dove
Dance me to the end of love, dance me to the end of love
Oh let me see your beauty when the witnesses are gone
Let me feel you moving like they do in Babylon
Show me slowly what I only know the limits of
Oh dance me to the end of love, dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the wedding now, dance me on and on
Dance me very tenderly and dance me very long
We're both of us beneath our love, we're both of us above
Dance me to the end of love, dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the children who are asking to be born
Dance me through the curtains that our kisses have outworn
Raise a tent of shelter now, though every thread is torn
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
Dance me through the panic till I'm gathered safely in
Touch me with your naked hand or touch me with your glove
Dance me to the end of love, dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love

  • My kids were 10 and 11 when i discovery Leonard Cohen . And I put his music in my car everytime .. They complain everytime and I told them when you have your car you can put any music you must like . For now this is my car and I am listening to Leonard Cohen ! The kids grew up only to one day tell me mom I love the music of mister Cohen .

    • That is exactly how my siblings & I became huge fans of Leonard Cohen - - in the 1960s! We started by griping about the “ol’ bullfrog” (he was in his 30s, 😂); lifetimes later- we all still love his music.

  • Leonard always sends me to my knees. Don’t know why I write this. I guess humans always have a need to connect with others to share their mortality. 4 days ago I held my fathers hand as he died. I said let go now. You are gonna live inside me now. I have you. Don’t be afraid. I love you. You are in safe hands. Then he disappeared.

  • I love this song especially. However, it is difficult to separate any song. It's amazing. He is not only happy to hear. The soul comes together and creates some harmony. Your voice is powerful and inimitable

  • I was lucky enough to see him preform this concert live in Glasgow. Bought the tickets for my husbands birthday, he was a fan for longer than I'd been alive! Before the concert I thought Cohen was alright, something I had to listen to ~ a lot! After first two songs that night I was converted & it was hubby saying, can you not play something else?! Wonderful poet/songwriter, sadly missed. (just like husband who passed in April)

  • I stumbled upon Cohen's music when I was 15 and instantly fell in love with it. A few years later I had a girlfriend named Suzanne and of course listening to his music then was all the more beautiful with her. The love affair ended after let's say seven years but my love for Leonard's music didn,t.
