Struff is playing out of his skin, he needs to clinch his maiden title. It being a home title adds that little extra pleasure to that victory.
That was embarrassing from Rune. The top players find a way to disrupt their opponent. They don't lose 6-0.
@@myheartspits Yeah, truly embarrassing. Struff is such a beast when he's truly ON like in this semi-finals here. You just can't really do anything when he strikes pretty much everything as sweet as he did today. Hope he wins tomorrow, been lowkey rooting for this guy ever since 2018 or so.
@@myheartspitsdude I don't think you realise what kind of player Struff is, when he's on, he can destroy literally anyone. His game is very high risk high reward so it pays off big when it does.
🖕🏼for the spoiler
@@Bakugo24 lol cry more pussy.
Struff was just spanking that ball! Those were some of the fastest forehands I’ve seen this season.
Saw the match live in Munich today It was truely insane too see Struff violating rune like this. Absolutely beautiful
"Violating" is a good word for this match. It's almost as if Rune has absolutely no answer to Struff's style of play and then simply imploded. I wonder what Rune would say after the beat down.
@@Birdylockso , probably something like, "Mommy, can you come get me?"
I’m surprised struff doesn’t have a title. Hope he wins
That Struff forehand was like a prime Gonzalez, absolutely unstoppable.
I was just thinking that ... massive!
That forehand reminds me of Berrettini. What a weapon!
@@Birdylocksonah Berretini no, reminds of Gonzalez massive forehand.
Berrettini, srtuff and kyrgios have pretty similar forehands. The takeback isn't massive but they get immense racket head speed and use a lot of wrist.
Err - prime Gonzalez was regularly in the 160+kph zone. Struff is not quite up there. But he looks like he's not far off
Holy shit, Struff absolutely demolished Rune there 😂
Struff just played one of the best matches on the men's tour in the last year. Jaw on the floor kind of stuff. Made Rune look like he was in junior high.
Struff bringing out last year's Madrid form and then some, just in time for his upcoming Madrid finalist defence. What a performance!!
I love the Munich tournament highlights. The sound of the ball being hit is soft, the camera perspective is very good, and the stands are so intimate.
Absolutely. This feels like real tennis.
Much respect for Struff coming back all the way from playing challenger and getting to this outstanding level. I really hope he gets the title.
I've rarely, if ever, seen such a dominant performance against a top player like this. This ranks as maybe one of the top 10 matches of its kind that I have ever seen in my life - over 40 years of following tennis, and watching thousands of matches. Incredible, incredible match...
STRUFFI! FINALLY! That guy finally woke up and remembered that good, old, pure Wawrinka-style power tennis he is capable to play. Let's keep fingeres crossed, that he keeps that spirit in tomorrows final. He is 33 and wont have that much possibilites to win a ATP tournament .
And if you're rooting for Fritz?
@@Johnnybgood76 then drop a comment for Fritz, I***t.
@@Johnnybgood76 too bad😂 Like them both. But going to root for Struff the win.
@Johnnybgood76 That's okay, but this is the perfect opportunity for Struff to finally get his hands on a 🏆.
Rune really needed another dimension to his game today. Either higher and loopier or hit harder. All his groundstrokes were perfect pace and height for Struff to tee off on.
struff on God-MODE
Oh yes!
Nothing short of...yesss....
Blasphemy 👆
bro rune got overpowered so hard
I saw the score and thought Rune was hurt or something. Can't believe Struff was hitting like that
Руне слил ,посмотрим что будет делать фриц😮
WTF are those forehands by Struff? Racket head speed is insane.
Struff on Fire 🔥 come on Struffi! Struff for the title. ❤🎉
Struff made Rune look like a nobody and rolled over him like a tank. What a flawless performance, especially the forehand. I hope he wins the tournament against Fritz tomorrow!
A German Tank?
The crowd sitting there in chilly temperatures...should be watching an ice hockey game 😂
I was there today. Actually we had quit luck with the weather. Sun came out and It was even possible to sit there without winter jacket but only hoody 😁
it was even snowing today
@@EasyBreezy41 but not while the matches were played. It was cold af but the sun came out for a few hours when Taylor & Struffi played their Matches. believe me - i sat in the crowd 😁
@@mariusklenner2485 I know, I never said it snowed during the game, jeez
Love watching Struff play, he always brings his brand of attacking tennis no matter what the surface is. I like how he serves and volleys on clay, though it's odd to see someone dominate on clay without using the drop shot very often (if at all?).
I do not remember some dropshots from Struffi..... but i love that he tries to go to the net...
Love to see Rune get bageled. Auf gehts Struffi!
Great powerful tennis from Struff! You got it , go for the title !
Buen partido Garín, pero a mejorar ese segundo saque!, y más winners paralelos!
I love struff's serve and volley style but wow, he really just had confidence in his forehand today huh?
Struffi auf gehts Bruder, hol dir endlich deinen verdienten Titel! 😊✊🏻💪🏻🇩🇪
Struff’s forehand reminds me of Kyrgios, full on. Sheer unadulterated racquet head speed. A brilliant match!
Struff was brilliant! He should get the trophy tomorrow.
Love Scruff's forehand - shades of vintage Kyrgios...hope he takes it!
Great to see Struff healthy again and spanking Rune. Rune’s passive forehand rally balls allowed Struff to T-off with his huge forehand. Great game plan by Struff and better execution.
Struff's forehand...holy smokes. Will be a good final against Fritz.
I always wondered why JLS has never reached the top 10. He has a great serve, one of the best forehands on tour when he is on, and a pretty decent ROS for such a big player. His backhand is weak in comparison, but has a wicked sliced BH which is useful in faster surfaces. Also, I'd say his net game is at least above average. Court coverage and shot tolerance are in my opinion the weaker parts of his game, but he should be able to past by them since he is way more dangerous when his foot is on the gas pedal. He is one of the few guys on tour able to outplay focused Alcaraz for long stretches of a match as we saw in Madrid a couple seasons ago. Also, his windup isn't that long, shouldn't be as hindering as it was for other big power baseliners. I don't know, looks like it's always been a consistency issue with JLS, because he is game when he plays his best tennis.
He doesn’t even have a title . I guess he’s only gone into hard tournaments
@@JanAyudaPerros he's generally had very tough draws so he takes some time to get momentum in a season it seems.
Tbf there are weaknesses, his first serve percentage is super often only in the 40s, it’s been an issue throughout his career that he can’t find first serves consistently and he’s never managed to fix it. He’s also poor on the run, he’s not even a bad mover for his size but neither his forehand nor his backhand are a danger on the run, he can only play like that from the centre on the court with his feet planted. ROS is hit or miss, stands near the baseline and just swings at is, but doesn’t have a reliable “just putting the ball in” return, and despite his wind up being fairly compact, he seems to excel in slow conditions mostly because it gives him the time to plant his feet cause his footwork is slow and hes able to hit through anyone no matter how slow the conditions are, he doesn’t need fast surfaces to give his ball more pace. I agree that he could have achieved more and won some titles/had a higher ranking, but there are some not so obvious weaknesses in his game, you just need to get him on the move a little
@@YouAintGotNoTegridyBoi hope he finally wins vs Fritz
@@anustart-loveeachother7680 Yeah, I absolutely agree on everything. His footwork seems to be a glaring hole in his game, especially in fast surfaces. In any case, get him on the move is not as easy as it looks at first glance, when he is on he can overpower just about everyone. If you notice, almost everything you pointed out other than his footwork are consistency related issues.
I stopped following the Struff-Rune match when they're tied at 2-2 in the first set imagine my surprise when I came back later to look at the final score
Little baby Rune got spanked today😂😂 so good..
why you hating on the little baby?
with a name like Fritz, all german final :)
Indeed, Taylor even looks german 😊
Stuff winning his long deserved maiden title in Germany would be perfect
Ça fait plaisir de voir Fritz à ce niveau sur terre battue, Garin était à son meilleur, il fallait une sacrée dose de confiance pour s'imposer en deux sets!
Amazing what JL can do. Respect to Rune for his sportsmanship. He knew there was nothing in there for him.
Amazing level by Struff maintained throughout both sets. Will be interesting to see if he can maintain it through Rolland Garros. 💪🎾
when Struff is on fire he is one of my absolut favorite player, so much power, such a nice offensive destroyer, i simply love it, wished he could hold his form longer
Je ne me rappelle pas avoir jamais vu jouer Struff à un tel niveau! Wow!
Wow, JL Struff really turned up today!! A humbling experience for Rune, for sure. 😮
Bien Garin,de a poco va recuperando su nivel q en algún momento fue top20
Totally overrated. And a delayed grunt on par with the now infamous Sonego
Struff's forehand and serve especially are just better than Rune's
Wow! Struff was on a tear! I've always thought he's an under-achiever considering his ability. It's about time we see this consistency from him. Well done.
In the zone😅 , good to see Jan has been around atp since 2014. He was at 21 spot in 2018 - maybe the home crowd will help him win!😃 Reminds me of Tim Von Riuthoven winning on grass in his hometown Netherlands event last Spring. 🍀🍀🍀
it was in 2022
When someone at 33 years old is playing like that at the Federer level, you wonder why he hasn't been able to consistently do that in the last 15 years because he obviously has the talent.
A very good question...
Multiple injuries, duh.
Where has Struff been all these years? Unbelievable display of power tennis. Vaporizing forehands
Ruud also hit some huge FH in his semi final. Massive firepower on display these last few days!
I’m starting to get tired of these players doing these exaggerated grunts RIGHT as the ball lands on their opponents side. SHUT UP
I agree. No one with an adult mind would grunt like that...
7:10 another rocket insideout fh by Struff
Shelton winning a clay title (Houston) before Fritz & usurping US #1 from him really inspired the Macy's heir to get his -ish together & stop messing around with randomly tanked matches. No sight or tacky mention of the unbecoming influencer girlfriend. Just all business. That's what America needs: serious winners NOT paycheck players. Fritz's level and focus has been insane these past few rounds. I just wish he would bring that purposeful play to the main stage (of RPDR). My biggest gripe with the Three Mess-cateers (Fratz, Paulina, & Tiafool) is that they're too comfortable being big fish in the smaller 250 ponds than bringing their very best to the biggest tournaments (Masters & Slams). Fritz is especially guilty of this despite possessing the biggest weapons out of the three. We'll see what happens in the final. Part of me wants sweet Strife to finally get on the board with a title like Thompson did in Los Cabos & the other part of me wants Fritz to get that clay title (unless the BMW is a gift for the distracting girlfriend). Regardless, it's gonna be a servefest.
Struff’s return of serve is the difference maker. Yes, he hits hard, but his return sets him up.
I hope Struff will finally win his first ATP single title today. Good luck. ❤
Struff turns 34 in a few days. Hope he will win this thing to celebrate his birthday! If he plays like this in the Final, he will surely win. Fritz is also playing well, so it's a big if.
Glad to see Fritz getting back in top form. And my goodness, Struff looks downright scary rn 😱
Beautiful guys, astonish ❤🎾🎾🎾
8:25 bro just twirled his racket before the winner lol
always a good day when Rune and Garin are out🎉
No podia faltar el comentario de un RESENTIDO pee ... asumare' webom .😁🤣🤣🤣
What do you have against Garin, aside from making me think he's Marcos Giron when I see his name in a draw?
@@HeavyTopspin Garin will forever be a cheater to me for what he did against Borges a few weeks ago. The chair umpire made a horrendous mistake by rewarding Garin a point that everybody knew should have been awarded to Borges, Garin himself included. Instead of doing the right thing, Garin took the point as if he has earned it. And that point arguably costed Borges the set.
Struff is a beast. When he’s pounding the ball with low unforced errors he can beat anyone on tour.
Hope Struff wins it all. His tennis has improved a lot and he’s a nice guy. Truly deserves it.
Struff woke up and chose violence.
What a performance Struff
6:38 punishing crosscourt 4hand
Struff is a bomb, yhe kind of player no one wants to meet. Just incredible.
Let's go Fritz 💪💪
Struff is playing Great tennis.👍
SuperHappy for Struff! Great tennis!
Just unbelievable that Struff is yet to win his first title. This man is so underrated!
Struff living his dream😊
Toll, Jan-Lennard 😎
What the heck was that from Struff!😱 To beat Rune 6-2 6-0?!🤯
Havent seen top player get bageled in a long time
Could have posted the full match Rune x Struff 😂😂😂 absolutely throwing in the second set
Как удивили Фриц и Штруфф! Прогрессируют! Игра темпераментная, умная, интересная!
JAAAA STRUFFI LETZ GOOOO hol dir das Ding!
Rune got bagueled dirty 😅
Rune y Struff, sensacionales!
Thank you Fritz 👍👍✌
Struff in the zone
No one could've beaten Struff today. He was just on fire.
8:49 Struff in d zone
Struffi brillant!!!
🇩🇪💪🏻
Struff finally puts it all together. If he could play like this consistently he is definitely Top 10 material.
I don’t think anyone in the world could’ve stopped the victor of the final match. Totally dominant.
Struff has got some Del Potro power
Struff has the right stuff to win the title.
Well done Struff, no show pure performance!
I get the impression that this clay court is faster than Monaco, Barcelona, Paris. I think it is
Omg the Power of Struff 😱future n° 1 in the world...never see any player like that
Struff is 33 or 34 years old. He wont get anywehere near Nr 1. However i think he has a very good chance getting to top 20, maybe even top 15. He was injured long time last year after Madrid, he can collect a lot of points in the 2nd half of the year.
Struff's issue is that his A-game is elite... but he often shows up with his C-game against middling players.
Struff want to hit his forehand any better? WOW
Rune out is always a good news
those shots from stuff are out of this world.
Struff is a serious contender to make quarter finals in Rolland Garros
If Fritz and Struff got the same shape n skills, it's gonna be a memorable finals!!! Big time!!!
Let's go Struffy!
Menuda bestia esta hecho Struff
Spanked-wow . !!!
I enjoy watching Fritz playing maybe the player I watch most but he's so inconsistent technically because makes a lot of unforced but mostly in terms of outcomes throughout the season. I hope he gets better
If Struff stay at his level like today's performance, the title will be for him !!!
