    • Sadly one does not have the time to register, however, the evidence of the German language newspapers you have presented are not enough to say, as established fact, that the Germans occupied Purnon during the war. For example, we found German WW1 papers in our own château grounds in Normandy, but no other proof that the Germans were ever there, and history agrees. Your newspapers could have been brought into the château from anywhere across France, even long after the war. So I would like to know why you believe the Germans were at Purnon during this period? What other proofs do you have to say they were there? Written records? Artefacts? Word of mouth or rumour? Thank you. Vive le Australiens!
