Two negatives really did make a positive for the impala!
Indeed.
That's only because those negatives hadn't given him a quick bible yet.

@@mikeoglen6848 which one?😂
Hyena was like I thought that Leopard killed you. 🤣
So many plot twists O_o I wouldn't have thought that the leopard would avoid a fight with a hyena and I didn't think the impala was still alive and able to make a run for it.
Why surprised? The size differnce alone would make a fight pointless add the nasty bite of Hyenas and the fragility of leopards and the Leopard doesn't really stand a chance. Carnivores, cats especially avoid fighting unless absolutetly neccessary since getting injured and therefore unable to hunt is a death sentence in most cases.
@@nickdouglas736 I mean it was a lone hyena and I have seen a hyena and a leopard eating from the same corpse bcoz none was strong enough to chase away the other and that wasn't even the dominant leopard and when the dominant leopard arrive both the hyena and the leopard fled
It was female leopard. Adult male one would defend his prey
@@nickdouglas736 you haven't seen a male adult leopard. They steal meat from jaws of nile crocodile
Is probably not worth fighting or risking any kind of injuries anyway because it's just one meal. Or let's say a few days worth of it. A healthy leopard can catch a lot of prey in that same time period
Impala to hyena: catch me baby 😂
The way the hayena is moving toward...

Hilarious how the hyena jumped away from impala's horns he knows they're dangerous.
Never thought a leopard would give way to a hyena
why do impala even have horns? Every predator is just like 'lol, bro'
Woww..this little impala is a champ 🤘. That Hyena arrived like a God to save the life. That feeling of rebirth again from death is just amazing.🙏🙏

"Don't just lie there, catch a prey so i can steal it from you." - Hyena
0:25 Look at those cute little paws bending and flopping 😫🤤😖🥰🥰🥰😍🙃
Moral of the story: Preys have learned how to survive even from the last and slightest chance to escape from the literal grip of a predator. Everybody already lost faith and hope as the impala was caught, everybody already concluded that it's the end. Who would have known that such amazing thing (or miracle) could ever happen? The thing is, the impala didn't lose hope and faith on itself, he calmly waited the chance and never gave up on dear life. In the end, he survived. Bless you all whoever read this...
They call it lucky but it is both lucky and smart, it new to play dead.
Well I mean... while I'm not exactly debating what you said this is actually very common, so I don't really think miracle is fitting. There are a handful of videos where the cat wasn't fully grown yet and was still inexperienced, by going limp and possible into shock they trick some predators into believing they killed them already. The predator sits him down and licks their wounds or checks the surrounding area and the impala hops up and runs away.
Amen
What redundant, faith-based nonsense. There was no moral to your story, and it was all over the place. There was no "learning", herbivores are really skittish and easily scared, evolved to flee. Here, it had no serious injuries, and got a chance to escape, so it did as programmed (by evolution), and ran. They aren't smart enough to "have faith in themselves", and even if they were, that's such a hectic situation, that they wouldn't have time to think, but to just act.
On top of all that, it's two different clips. One where the Impala dies, one where it's still alive and runs away.
The way it moves its paws tho😭🥺💘
Whenever a third party is involved, things always get messy, or in this case, ruined kill
Fascinating ! Just fascinating !! BBC Earth’s videography and storytelling has no equal in this world. It’s why I buy every single one of Attenborough’s documentaries on 4K BR as soon as they are released. As for this video most of us watching were resigned to the idea the impala was going to die. But boy what a twist in the end. Like the Shawshank Redemption the audience cheered as the captive found its freedom.
That leopard just wanted a kiss.
Female Impala Staring On him 😂 " Hi Girls im Still alive .. lets continue our Sexy Scenes" 😂😂
Wow that impala got really lucky. Talk about irony, the hyena can overpower the leopard, but cannot outrun the impala. It's like rock paper scissors.
In another frame the gazelle was already dead when the hyena was still approaching and the leopard has already let go of it. The next footage, the leopard was suffocating the gazelle and was still struggling. What is going on? I know they were trying to tell a story but they were trying to sensationalize the story and hoped that people wouldn't notice. The story was heartwarming but it feels like I was told a fake lie.
Fotoshop from 2 different Videos!!! 2:48 and 2:49 are different.
It seems fake doesn’t it?
That’s very sad. They manage to capture those incredible videos only to fake them?
@@bariseker4193 You can see the leopard starting to lay down at 2:48..

Plot Twist: Hyena came as an ally to that Impala safeguarding him from the jaws of death.
Now that's damn lucky! Very beautiful footage. Hats off to the film crew! 👍
If I was the leopard I would be mad as hell
I admire this clip for what the narrative (which is true to what had actually happened) conveys and for how various scenes were shot and edited beautifully. But I do hope that the viewers are aware that there are two separate instances where the hyena happened upon or sought out the leopard: One where the leopard had already killed an impala ( 2:15 - 2:48 ) and another where the leopard had an impala captured but not killed yet; for whom the hyena unintentionally allowed an escape ( 1:44 - 2:00 and 2:48 - 2:56 ). I believe that this is a culmination of multiple hunts and instances all put together and edited very well in order to represent a true and remarkable event that actually took place. I believe that the impala from 2:58 onwards is also a different individual from the one that escaped, or at best (however unlikely) the same individual at a different time of day (considering the clear difference in light). But this is not to take away from the clip in any way. Rather it shows how beautifully and skillfully the filming and editing team put together unrelated scenes to bring to all of you an amazing incident that truly took place. Goes to show how much hard work is needed to weave together a narrative that captures the minds of many!
00:26 It could be this beer I'm drinking but it damn sure looks like the leopard has 3 eyes.
Aha that’s quite sick

I think these are two different events 🤔 the first impala look dead to me and the hyena attacks look different
Yup, two different events with similar animals and locations.
Very obvious once you pay attention, the location just teleports away from the wall in first shot and the hyena is clearly a different animal. First one has dark fur/pelt and second one is smaller in size and has lighter fur.
