This is a beautiful tribute to man’s best friend. Dogs are by far the best thing on this planet.
Darn it! Now, I've got to hide my wet eyes here at work!
🥰❤️👍
A boy becomes a man, but he will always need his dog. Thank you God for such a wonderful gift.
Amen! Every good and perfect gift is from God above!
Anyone who has ever had a dog in their life can relate to this beautiful tribute.
Best creature on Earth! I'm grateful and thankful to my dog for loving me. "I would give everything I own to be able to keep my dog forever".
Me too!
And me too. Wise words. I became vegan when he died...
Me third. 😢❤
Dogs steal my heart- I lost my little guy, 1 month ago. I am still grieving and very sad. I am a senior who now is going to choose a cat champion. Not the same but still fills the void - something that is not easy to get over. This was a beautiful video showing the love and care from human to dog and dog to human. Thanks for sharing. ❤
AMEN to that thought Pawfriend🐾
My best friend, soulmate and ❤ dog died May 8th, 2023. Brooklyn went everywhere with me and even to work. I still cry and miss him soooooo much every day. Thank you for sharing your beautiful video with us! Our dogs love us so much and need us to care for them.❤❤❤❤
Yes, thank you so much.
Rest easy Brooklyn ❤❤❤❤
I KNOW how you feel! I've lost some too. Last year it was my female German shepherd. They never live long enough.
This story literally made me sob it's so beautiful. ❤
I lost Beatrice last October. She was 14 human years old, not bad for a schnoodle. Not a day passes that I don’t say her name, as I’ve heard that you die twice. Once when you leave this world the next is when the last one alive says your name for the last time. I love you Bea!
The only creature on the earth which gives selfless love, care and protection!!! Dogs are really Amazing!!!!
I lost two senior rescues last year….i had adopted both of them with heart conditions. One passed in March 2023, and the other September 11th, 2023. I figured since I am a senior 78 this year I would give senior dogs that need a home a place to live out their lives happily! After my two rescues passed I was so lonely I went to a senior rescue in Indiana and now have a beautiful 11 yr old Maltese Mix who had been found wandering the streets! Rivy is her name and she has a warm home with me and more love than she probably ever knew! This is my mission….as I am older I will make older dogs know they are still loved! Thanks for allowing me to share! ❤
Rivy is a lucky dog. Thank you.
@@vinnyandrocky Your story touched me! Nothing like the love of a dog! 🐶❤️
Sorry for your loss
@@Lucky2beme Thank you for your sweet words….so appreciated! 🤗
You are a very special person. With dogs, like people, they should not be abandoned because of their age. Treated well , a dog will love you no matter what your age.
Shadow, my Gsd, is my savior. Without her, I would have given up a long time ago, and I say this with no shame. I struggled against cancer twice, and each time, watching her worried eyes after each treatment, it gave me the strength to go on. She would sit beside me when I was sick in the bathrooms, was beside me when I lost my hair. I did not rescue her; she rescued me. I am forever grateful.

Dogs are the BEST no matter what size or breed , they fill our hearts so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
My puppy went to his forever home a month ago. After almost 15 yrs of love and companionship to me and family. We will miss him dearly. His suffering is over. We will see you again my dear friend. Until then , you’re young again and free from pain. Rest in paradise Buddy. We love you.

There is nothing that compares to the love an animal, nothing can compare to their unconditional love and loyalty.
Fur babies love humans unconditionally
When we lose a beloved pet the pain stays only for a brief while our fond memories and pictures last a lifetime
I am almost 74. I have had dogs in my life since I can remember.my first dog ,when I was 6, was hit and killed by a truck. I cried all the way home to tell my parents what had happened, my dad walked back with me to get Tandy, I cried like a baby. we took him home in a towel that my dad had brought. he asked me if Tandy had waged his tail, I said yes, my dad said he was saying "good by" and that I would see him again some day. we buried him in the back yard.that was 68 years ago. since that time I have had 11 beautiful dogs, most have been rescue puppies, a few have gotten cancers and and left our family long before they should have.as our kids grew, they learned to love ,be caring, responsibility, and that life can be tough at times. they have their own dogs now when they come to visit ,they bring their dogs with them and they run wild in the back yard with the 3 we have at our house. I remember seeing a few years back a poster in my vets office when I was taking one of our 2 year old "labs" for shots...it read" I HOPE I CAN BE THE PERSON MY DOG THINKS I AM" ( I try every day to live up to that) I am also a STRONG believer in the existence of the RAINBOW BRIDGE...time will tell
I connected to your comment as I’m 74, too, with a 3-year old British black lab….pre-trained for 2 years. We drove from California to Arkansas to pick her up a year ago. She’s wonderful; so well behaved. I take her to the park each morning for her play time….retrieving for an hour. Sometimes to the beach for play time. She follows me around the house, likes to sleep in my lap while I’m in my recliner. She’ll most likely be my last dog. I’m hoping, if I die before her, she’s there so that she knows. I don’t want her to think I abandoned her otherwise.
@@knvbcoachMy wife and I have two half Chihuahua's from another mother and I've told her that I want to be cremated with them so I can be in the same urn as them
I have a GSD that is nearing the end of our time together. He turned 12 yrs old in December 2023. I’ve had him since he was 4 months old. He’s loyal and protects his domain still. His hips are giving out, getting up and walking are becoming harder to do. I know I have to make the decision. I want him to stay because I love him so much but because I love him I can’t let him suffer because there is still no quit in him, his mind , heart and the will he has are strong his body is just giving out. I’m crying now. He’s my dog, my love. He’s my Hank!
I’m so sorry Amy to hear your news about Hank. I lost my baby in October of last year. It was BRUTAL. You will know when it’s time. You will just know.
@@kaypie3112 I know . He has a way of looking so deeply into your eyes. I spend quiet times with him, just him and me. His eyes say so much. I’m watching closely. I know it’s coming soon. I have loved each dog I’ve ever had but there are some that are just extra special. He’s always been the extra special one. I’m sorry for your loss. It is brutal. I’m 51 yrs old and I have been blessed to have had dogs since I was 5 yrs old. I’ve never been without a dog. I’ve mourned each passing. I remember and my heart has an ache even with all the ones that lived their lives out, I still remember when I was 13 and my Daddy sitting me down after school to tell me that my sweet beagle Missy had been hit by a truck and died. We lived and still do on the family farm on a small back road. The man stopped that hit her and told my Papaw because he thought it might have been his dog, the rabbit shot out on the road and my beagle came off the bank right after it, he couldn’t help it, my brother‘s beagle, Everready was able to stop. The man had moved her off the road to the field. My Papaw buried her. Everready and Missy were brother and sister. We’ve never had a dog that mourned as hard as he did, we have them mourn but he almost didn’t think he’d make it. He stopped eating, stopped running rabbits, he just layed lifeless in the yard. It didn’t matter what we did, how much love we showed him, all the different food we tried to get him to eat, he just layed and paid us no attention. Finally, he raised up and ate a few bites. He made little improvements as the days went on and passed away with us with him at age 13 1/2 yrs old. 38 yrs since I lost her and about 27 since him. For some reason tonight all those memories from all those years ago have come flooding back.
Have you looked into hydrotherapy or wheels?
If not, its worth a shot. It depends on finances but they can help a lot
Bless you and Hank. It's a hard decision to make. I experienced it 4 years ago. You want to feel that you've done everything you can, yet don't want them to suffer. You'll know. I did❤🐕🙏🏼
We lost our beloved Abby in March of 2022, after 11 years of love and joy. I held her as she passed and I could feel the life go out of her, forever. I have never cried so hard in my life.
I have been through it as well. It is a heart ache you can't explain. ❤❤
It absolutely is. But when I lost my oldest son a few years ago I had a whole new level of grief. The pet grief is horrible yet you can always get another one. Cannot replace a son 😢.
@@DJH97I am so sorry, lost a step daughter 27 years ago .. not the same as a biological parent but it was still brutal Dogs helped thru the process with eternal gratitude for their presence
Absolutely. Dogs help you through everything. Their unconditional love and companionship are priceless.
I know that feeling well my last German shepherd kobi she was my life and soul when I lost her at 9 I have never felt grief like I had people say there only a dog .I'll tell you there not there family better than any human
When my boy crossed over the rainbow bridge a big part of my heart died with him! He taught me what unconditional true unconditional means! It’s now 7 years and still cry over this loss, his brother is 8 and his sister 7, I couldn’t bear the thought to not live with a dog! Thank you!
Losing your beloved pets is heartbreaking and they never leave your lives.
Soooooooo true!!!! ❤
My german shepherd passed away this past April of 2023. He was only 9 years old. He had degenerative myleopathy, a disease of the spine. We went on hikes till he told me he couldn't any longer. He was still crossing creeks in his wheelchair... He had heart. He was brave, gallant and had a spirit of fire. He knew he had to be my protector so he had to stay strong. Towards the end, I whispered in his ear how much I loved him and grabbed hold of his nape as I always did...it didnt seem real that it would be the last time I would hold him in my arms. He comforted me until the very end... I ask God every day why he had to leave so early, but I know he's up in heaven now swimming in the creek and catching fish with my grandfather. This video brought back memories of him... you may not realize it, but this type of video made a difference in my life today. It's reminders like this we all need, to truly remember just how precious life is and the lessons and experiences that dogs bring to our lives. My shepherd Zuke was surely a dog I will never forget. Hold your pets close, as each day and morning you get to open your eyes next to them is a gift.
That's beautiful, friend, all of it. I wish we could see a photo of Zuke. It sounds like he was a very, very good boy. Being a German Shepherd, he loved you fiercely and with all his heart. ❤️ With any luck, you'll be together again, some way, somehow.
Sorry for your loss. Glad you like the video.
I had to go through this with my GSD Luke. It ruined me when I lost him. Still think of him 25 years later.

At 72, I'm currently with my 21st GSD, having gotten my first at age 7, I've had them 3 and 4 at a time, and all until their passing. They are not normal dogs, but very, very special. All shepherds deserve the great life you've given Rocky, because they'd trade their life for yours without hesitation. Not everyone deserves, or should, own a GSD, because they are not a "get and forget" pet. They want, and deserve, your attention and involvement in their lives. Oh yeah, and Rocky grew up to be gorgeous!
Yes..... Nothing more to say..except..Woof
Laying here watching this with my best friend laying next to me. I love my boy more than most people. He is a 4 year Rottie, best dog I’ve ever had. I thank God that he connected us daily.
I'm a Rottweiler owner myself. Best dogs ever. My big Bear is turning 10 in July. I'm dreading the day when it's time for him to cross that Rainbow Bridge. Life goes on and we just do our best to live life.
I keep thanking God every day for my new baby maltese. She wont replace my late maltese. I cried missing her yesterday because my new baby girl reminds me so much of her. Dogs are so very good to us.
Bless You! I had 2. Aside from watching my 2 children being born…those dogs were some of the most fruitful times of our lives!
@@gsauce132able I hear you. Parting with these beautiful creatures will not be easy. I know that my boy will only live to 10 or so and that already bothers me. Give your Rottie the best life you can and take joy that he was loved all the days of his life.
Owning a dog is life changing. I miss my old girl who passed away on Nov 2023 so much. Our family has a puppy now of the same breed. Making room in my heart to live another because life just isn’t quite right without your dog by your side. Thanks for sharing

It's so sad that they live for such a relatively short time and the German Shepherd is my favourite breed. They're so intelligent and loyal.
OMG, Ive never owned anything but GSD's my entire life. Ive grieved every time one has passed because of the beautiful life they gave me. Never will I forget the love each one provided me.
Me too... I still have my first GSD's collar he died 50 years ago. I have one now that is aging, been hanging on to the dear moments.

Lost my beloved Aussie on Tuesday Jan 2nd 2024, he was 14 years and 7 months and the pain is overwhelming! SAM has and will always be the love of my life, he was 6 weeks old when we got him. Watching this video brings me tears: This prayer has helped me through this terrible time and may help you as well! " He who learns must suffer, and even in our sleep, pain which we cannot forget falls drop by drop upon our heart, until in our despair against our will, comes wisdom through the awful grace of GOD"
I know that is very painful, I lost my beautiful Leo boy almost 6 years ago and I think about him always, the time we spent together playing walking training sleeping driving. I cry every time I see GS waking with they owner. But let me know tell he is with you. God bless you and give you peace. You are a child of God and some day we will be together with them again. Thank you for loving him.♥️♥️♥️♥️

Dogs are the reason we learn to love unconditionally. They have filled our lives for over 40, years. Each time we say goodbye, they take a little of us with them. What a beautiful video of love. Thank you.
The memories of my dear GS came flooding back watching this video. I had to put her to sleep 2 years ago due to a cruel disease. I still mourn her to this day but there are also alot of sweet memories that also put a smile on my face too.

I lost my best girl, soulmate, she was 16, to cancer in November 8th, 2017. She went everywhere with me, to work as i was a caregiver and she was a comfort dog in some care homes so she also provided care to the elderly, or those who were ill, or just needed a friend. Was never without her... She changed my world, and lit up every room she walked into. Everyone loved her. They change our world. Thank you for sharing this beautiful video, brought me to tears, i will share.
You are welcome.
Lovely vid - tears in my eyes. My Weimaraner dog had to be put down at 10 years old with cancer all through his body. Man, I cried. It took me on 30 years to get another dog, but when I did, I prayed to God to deliver to me the perfect dog for me and HE came through with a beautiful 7 week old Hungarian Vizsla dog [he's 4 years old now]. Connor [my Vizsla] andI are never parted, I walk him 10 ~ 12km every day and he is so intelligent I have not had to train him like I have other dogs, he has just looked at me and said "I know what you want". He obeys voice and hand-signals and is the most affectionate dog I have ever met. In my time of life now, I just hope I last out longer than him, I would so much hate to pass on and leave him. It's all in God's hands.
It's too bad you waited 30 years to get another dog. You missed many joyous hours, days, weeks, months, and years. But, I am glad you have finally found another furry friend to spend his life with. Dogs teach us how to be better people.
I still remember all my dogs. Miss them every day. They are a part of me always.

So sorry.... It is hard to imagine to lose two dogs while losing only one already breaks ones`s heart to bits and pieces. Honor their life by helping every creature in need and become friends to all the animals.
For those who has or had a GSD understand the bond, loyalty and the love from your true companion. Vancouver, Canada
Yes, it is.🥰
Not only GSDs, even though they are of beautiful nature - I have and have had a couple of GSD friends, not my "own" dogs but just friends I made. Maybe it is the ability to radiate pure and unconditional love that makes dogs to man`s best friends.
This is exactly what love is. I have had such a great companion and soulmate, too (see my icon). Nothing comes close to this bond. My dog died almost five years ago and whenever I think of him, which is daily, tears come to my eyes, tears of joy and deep sorrow. I know his spirit is with me all day and night and will always be. And I will keep loving him until the end of eternity and beyond. - Love is more powerful than death. Thank you for this wonderful testimony of your love. (/from Germany)

Had that same bond with a German Shepherd, hiked, backpacked and camped all over Montana with him. Better bond than I have had with most people. Miss him so much, the way he would put his head on my lap and howl at blues music and sirens. Have a new 9 month old German Shepherd to start it all over again but so hard to lose them. It was crushing and the risk you have to take. Cherish each moment.
This lovely fellow, Rocky is so much like one of my 8 rescued dogs. She (JJ) stuck to me all the time until her last second. JJ was the second last to leave me, then my last baby boy said goodbye to me on 3 June 2023. My tears stopped already but I still talk to him every day. All my dogs are in my heart and I know they are waiting for me to join them in the 🌈 Best wishes to all the dog lovers ❤❤❤

How true! My best buddy of 13 years just passed after a long joyful life. I didn’t think his death would bother me so much, but for weeks afterward I couldn’t stop thinking of him &, when alone, sobbing uncontrollably? Beautiful video, and so well done. I love dogs and cannot imagine life without one by my side. Very special of God's creatures. Unconditional love.
I'm crying this as I watch it because my Lucy, who I adopted before she was quite 2, is now almost 13 and getting so gray and slowing down so much. She has always slept with me and since she can no longer jump up on the bed, I had to order steps so she could climb up on it. She was apparently born with a heart murmur because my vet told me she had one when I adopted her. She's now on 2 meds for it twice a day. She has been my constant companion and best friend for a long time, and though I know the time will come, I truly can't imagine my life without her. I love her with all my heart ❤️ and am so glad we chose each other that day at the rescue center! God created dogs to love us unconditionally just as He loves us 🙏
All our Babies have been the Best, they were our Fur Children, 47 years off many breeds, Shepards, Labs, Lab-Bassitt mix, Small Terrier, & 3 Rotts, & 2 Cats, Loved them all till their Last Breath, miss them all & will continue having Animals as Long as we can, They Are The Best. ❤️❤️❤️. We have been very Blessed. ❤️❤️❤️ And they all slept inside a clean house, on comfy Dog beds, sometimes ours, Love, Teaching & Praise will Amaze you. ❤️❤️❤️
There is always special bond and moment between man and his best friend.
I've had three dogs since I was 10 years old, after Jack died in 2018 I can't have another as the heartbreak each time gets worse, just writing this brings me to tears even now.
You must have a dog in your life, it's what makes each day worth living.. Somewhere there is a dog who needs and is waiting for you. Every dog deserves a warm and loving home. I have been blessed with more than twenty dogs since the day I was born. When Arwen died last summer, I too thought no more suffering the loss of a dear friend. Prancer came into my life six weeks ago. Now I have a reason to wake up each day, and we enjoy our time together. No longer do we go to sleep alone. Every day ends in a warm bed with my loyal dog sleeping beside me.
I understand how you feel. I thought the same after my Shepard died about 10 years ago. Swore to myself I couldn’t do it again, after about 2 years, I saw this face on some Facebook post. Just instantly knew I had to go get him, called the place, told them to hold that dog, drove two hours. My Zeke has been my constant companion for 8 years now. Snoring right beside me right now. I’ll always have a dog and you should too! I know it’s difficult but it will change. Best wishes, sorry for your loss. There is a doggie out there waiting for you. 🐶
I have been grieving this past week for my dog Pepperpot a mix rescue from San Diego received him in WA who passed in 2022 … I loved him and he loved me and that’s all I really know

My best buddy Eddie died on July 28 2023 from a pericardial effusion on his heart. He was a Norfolk Terrier and just over 10 years old. As with so many of you and your doggies here, we did everything together and couldn't be separated. God Speed Eddie, I miss you every day with all my heart 😢❤
I still don't know what made me walk into that animal shelter and adopt my GSD, Smokey all those years ago, but I thank god every day that I did. He is my Angel, and really did save me as much as I saved him. I will work as hard as I can every day to deserve the love, loyalty and devotion he has given me.
I will always have a shepherd in my life till I leave this earth. They are a truly special breed. When you are a “Shepherds human” it the most unique and special bond you will ever have

The saddest part of this beautiful video is that you can't grow old with your dog I have said harrowing goodbyes to two of my Goldens both living extremely long lives to fourteen and a half years each We have to keep keeping a part of our hearts open to welcome a new dog in remembrance of the joy and love our previous dogs gave us...We are just about to welcome our third puppy..to give it a home full of love
It makes me cry...so much care..so much innocent love...so much loyalty....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A Real blessing from God!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for this video, Rocky is a beautiful boy. I have had the honour of having my life touched and changed by 9 dog companions over the past 30 years. All were Huskies, 7 Siberians and 1 Alaskan, except one very special Entlebucher, Dash, who lost his vision at 11 years old but did not let that slow him and lived a full life to 16 years, 4 months.. 5 have passed on and I only have to have my heart broken 4 more times, however it has all been worth the pain at the end of a life. As I face the end of my time here on earth, after a cancer diagnosis last year, my only bucket list item is to hold my youngest boy, Groot, in my arms as he passes from this world. My Heaven would be to spend eternity with my pack! My first dog, a Siberian Husky, was named Rocky!
A beautiful testament to the bond between a person and their dog. ❤
I have cried for the last 2 days over my beloved TuckerLee. I adopted him when he was 5. He was the kindest loving soul ever. He absolutely stole my heart and gave the Pit Breed a shining light. I will forever miss him Many Prayers!
I have had Shepherds all my life, raising one now who is just 6 months old. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL TRIBUTE TO YOUR BEAUTIFUL FRIEND ❤❤

This made me cry, remembering my own two dogs who I miss terribly. Their lives are so short and saying goodbye is so painful.
Любовь к немецкой овчарке - это на всю жизнь❤
God bless you for loving that precious baby the way ALL dogs deserve to be loved!! I lost my beloved chiweenie Barkly in May of 2022, I think of him EVERY day & still cry. I do believe that I’ll see him again!! 💔
Dogs are wonderful. The companionship, love, loyalty, and protection can't be beat. Dogs are better than humans.
My GSD had a profound effect on my life, the many hrs we spent on working search and rescue was the most rewarding part of my life.
All dogs are man’s best best friend but a GSD, the greatest companion anybody could ever ask for loyal, loving, smart, funny, you name it!! Love, my Heidi!! man’s best friend
July 2023, my 20 year old English Springer Spaniel passed away due to old age. We shared a life together 24/7/365. I was thankful that he was no longer in pain, but very devastated by his passing. Late August 2023, I adopted a 6-year-old female mini Aussie Shepherd despite not wanting another dog right away. She was in desperate need of a new home. Great dog and she helped me more than I ever could've expected.
Simply a special and unique gift beyond words, every dog of every kind and size. It is both a priviledge and joy to keep and be bonded with such a beautiful gentle living creature.
As a GSD owner, I havta say this is 1 of the most thought provoking vid's can recall. The most loyal, protective, caring family member we have. My God Bless you both n ur travels n long friendship 🐕🙏
Thank you, you are so kind.
My precious dog kept me alive with their love, healthy walks, laughter and being the best companion, I miss him since his passing last year and will have the best memories to move forward. Thank you for sharing your beautiful story, and shedding a tear for all those who have loved their fur family member with the biggest ❤️
Dogs are the best. Unconditional love. The desire to be with you and work. Better than 99.9% of humanity. We lost our Lab Riley last October to lymphoma. Took a while off to grieve. Got a new one, Daisy. Our first GSD in almost 20 years. She's at 5 months now, a handful, but she's awesome. Smart and ready work.
Beautiful testimony to your bond with Rocky. You've given him such a great life. Wish you two many more years. The scenes were majestic.
Thank you for your kindness.😍
I miss my Bud. He was amazing. He was my soulmate also. He helped me thru chemo. He made me laugh when I was down and when I needed to cry he was right there. This dog reminded me so much of Bud that I cried thru it.
Bud will be always by your side.
@@vinnyandrocky thank you so much. I feel bad because I said he needed to be put down. He was blind, deaf afraid to go out. I just hope that he forgives me.
A dog is a special bond in a man's life.
Never had a Shepherd. Always wanted one. But I am surrounded by my furry family God said i needed. Make me smile every day. Love them with all my heart..
This was beautifully put together, and thank you for sharing this amazing relationship with us!!! Pets are our greatest friends and companions in life… no human can truly love us as unconditionally as they do. The worst moment is when it’s their time to leave… there is no pain more excruciating than that final “goodbye.” Yes, the memories are a healing balm, but there is still a void that never heals.
Thank you so much.
I am so sorry for your loss and your video of him had me crying . It was very obvious the relationship you had was special. We lost our dog July 2nd of 2023. We were very lucky to have had him for 14 years. I layed on the floor next to him until he passed. I fell asleep and somehow was jolted awake and saw him take his last breath. I thought I would be okay since he lived alot longer than most dogs. I was lying to myself. I felt like I couldn't breath all day and missed him so much. It's been 7 months and I still tear up at the most unexpected times. Pets are God's gift to humans . He helped me get thru the loss of my Mom and Brother and every other difficulty in our lives. They help us get thru the rough times and enjoy the happy times even more with their presence. We miss him greatly every day but we believe that he's with family now watching over us. There's something special about the love of your pet.
