  • It’s actually funny, when you were looking for the word « relate » I was screaming it at my screen 😂 - I’m a native french speaker, but I guess because I spent more time speaking english, it becomes easier ... and u experience the opposite way around

Also, living in the US I can totally relate about the part where you said you sound pretentious when you pronounce french words correctly 😂 I find myself pronouncing french words the WRONG way, malgré moi, just to be understood 😝. Good idea this live happy hour, I enjoy watching it later 🥰

  • 42:38 "Parisísima said it's cool, somebody said it's cute." Well, I disagree with both of them. I've always used "majo" to mean nice, likable, sympathique, agréable, that kind of thing. Source: Being a native Spain-Spanish speaker. (Catalonia, specifically. Maybe that has to do with the disagreement? or maybe they're the odd ones out) 57:30 Wow. The Spanish expression based on the same thing "partirse el culo" "to split one's ass", means basically the opposite. Instead of meaning to be very frustrated, angry and reluctant to do something, it means to laugh really hard. (pretty sure it's only used in Spain) Other coloquial Spain expressions for the same thing: "descojonarse", literally "to un-testicle oneself" and "desternillarse" literally "to un-gristle/un-cartilage oneself"

  • Le Marrakech du rire c'est le public du Jamel Comedy Club. Y a pas que ça mais c'est très orienté humour de banlieue/humour communautaire. Si vous parlez de renoi, de rebeu et de noichi le tout en lachant 3 mots d'arabe par phrase ça va cartonner. C'est définitivement pas le public de Paul.
